In the future, the year being 2099, the world is encroaching upon the new year. But this world is far different from our own. Crime rates have sky-rocketed after our third World War, and destruction riddles its way through most things and places, but not because the war had struck home. No, we have destroyed ourselves. Welcome to Broken America, as we the people call it.

Law is a loose thing, most cops and officers themselves engaging in regular illegal activity. Often times, the law is actually in the hands of criminals, allowing a city to be overrun by gangsters. Because of this, many cities belong to either the government, or the criminals. Cities belonging to gangs are usually run by one solid gang, who patrols that city and owns it completely, due to having overthrown a prior mayor or ruler. Cities run by the government are run by a council of voted upon officials who are noted as the most intelligent in that area. They conduct annual checks and create walls around their cities to protect their more honest and noble citizens from the horrible heathens beyond.

Civil destruction is upon us.

But a force has been created, especially to eliminate the threats that cause the ''good'' people to harbor fear in their depths. This force was created to take back the cities, and destroy the thugs who are taking over Broken America.

This force is called the GM; or the Gun Masters. The Gun Masters are a force of individuals highly trained to work with urban warfare. They are advanced, and skilled in all things dangerous and violent. Most of them are brainwashed and work with impossibly slim chances of failure. With such grand rates, they have been praised.

But upon a mission gone awry, a GM from Silver City went missing. Her name was Eva Airam, and she was one of those who wavered from the cause. And she disappeared to the city of the Masquerades- a powerful controlling gang. At first she was tortured, kept like a pet almost. But when she was trusted, she was inducted into the Masquerade, and became the lover of the leader, Jason Arkham.

It was shortly afterward that Madeline Dawson, Eva's partner, found herself in danger. Her two new transfer partners were responsible for the murder of a fellow GM, Gregory, for some reason of incompetence. She ducked out of her window and scaled down the building seven stories in her pajamas. Fleeing as fast as her feet could allow her, she hitches a motorcycle and leaves Silver City, knowing immediately that, like Eva, she too is now exiled...

Elsewhere, another bordering city gang called the Epidemics has come to the Masquerade, wanting to join forces.

The year is 2099, and the war is about to begin...

Government Owned: Ask and I can add cities
Silver City: A large and very strong city by which people lead perfectly safe and normal lives. Many here are wealthy and successful, and have all the material happiness one could dream of. Home of the Silver Gun Masters.
Scarlet City: A smaller city than Silver, but is known for its scholars and wise scientists. Intelligence is key here, and the science of life is ever flowing. Only one GM has ever come from Scarlet City, and that was Madeline.
Chatam: A port city that is known for its trade and industry. Houses many strong bodies and is known for its factory tech of tomorrow. Only one GM has ever come from Chatam, and that was Gregory (now deceased).
Eden: A larger capital-like government city that is far north of Silver City. It is where one turns when catastrophe strikes, yet they manage to keep more to themselves. It is fabled that Rose and Antonio were transferred to Silver City from Eden.

Self-Owned / Independent Cities: Ask and I can add cities
Century City: A large and unique city, that though looks like trash and wilt above ground with the rot and decay of society and graffiti, is actually an anarchic glory underground. The leading city in technology and resources, led by Jason Arkham. Home of the Masquerade.
East Trap: The ruins of a city called Burnam. This poverty-stricken wasteland was made due to the battle between the Krypt-Keepers (K2) and the Burnam militia, but is now controlled by a small closely knit gang called The Epidemics. The only reason the Epidemics still reside here is for the memories of what used to be home.

-The war between the independent civilians of New America and the Government is about to take place. Your characters can be civilians of the government owned cities that get caught in the crossfire, or you can be apart of either the Epidemics of the Masquerade, seeking to shut down the faulty rule of ignorant wealth and greedy politicians. The story will begin with the night Madeline flees Silver City and the city is put on its second ever recorded Lockdown, raising panic and chaos.

Elsewhere, the Epidemics have come to Century City, where they are about to confront the Masquerade about joining forces and taking down Silver City when it is at its weakest.

Jake lived on the outskirts of Silver City with his parents until the age of 14 when his parents were killed during a trip to Scarlet City by wandering gang members looking to steal whatever they could get for a profit. Jake was left for dead out in the middle of the desert between Silver City and Scarlet City, but was soon found by a man named Bootleg Jason, a wandering mercenary who always seemed to have a little too much to drink.

Bootleg nursed Jake's wounds back to health, letting the teenager stay with him as long as he earned his keep, picking up a few loose ends of jobs that Bootleg would let him finish off. Eventually Jake was able to take on his own jobs, going from small errands, protecting convoys, and assassinations.

By the time Jake was twenty, he was working for high profile clients, gang leaders, corporation owners, and military leaders. He has earned enough money to afford his now trademark battle suit, used to survive harsh weathers and for protection against various gunfire. Jake has seen both the corruption of the government and the ruthlessness of the gang leaders, he has tried his best to stay neutral in the fights, working for the one who pays him the most, but has grown a little bit fond of the ruthless missions of the gang leaders.

History/Summary:
Daven grew up quite normally, a little quiet, a little strange, and absolutely obsessed with the Gun Masters. He spent his whole life training and improving his accuracy to become a Gun Master. He tried several times to become one, but every time he was turned away and told "We need no more, we have enough". After his twentieth birthday, his love became hate. He hated that he was denied into their ranks, hated that his city was run by the government that so specifically told him what to be, where to be, and how to be it at every given moment. He killed his first man a few weeks later. It was a bar fight, and Daven managed to get to his bottle faster. He shattered the full bottle over the man's temple, killing him with a single solid blow. The bar fell silent, and Daven fled.

He hit the road before the Gun Masters could find out, taking all his money and purchasing a gun, ammo, and a sack. He filled the sack with his few belongings, and headed out. On the road, his constant training became a useful asset. Many travelers wanted protection, or if they didn't want protection, could be easily robbed and left to die. He quickly found his riches, but tired of the life of a bodyguard and highwayman. Soon, he stumbled into Century City, where he made a small name for himself in local bars, doing the tasks no other hired hand would. And he did them effectively. Quick, quiet, and silent as the grave. Soon, a masked man offered him a temporary job with Masquerade. He didn't deny.
Written Appearance: Daven stands at 6'4", with a slightly muscular build. Overall, he looks like a tower of muscle. His eyes are hauntingly green, his hair a coffee brown, long and unkempt as a wolf. Though his thick jaw and large scars would testify to a stupid brute of a man, Daven is quite intelligent and quick on his feet. He fools many by his speed and precision, though his size is sometimes an enemy in urban combat. He normally wears a tight black shirt and ripped camo pants.
