Hi all you fellow Foggers.

This is to be my one on one interest check thread, which basically means I'm looking for anyone who would like to have a 1x1. I will roleplay any genre, any topic, any plot. Actually, my rule is: you name the genre, I create a plot to go with it.

This is because I want to expand my horizons and work on my originality as well as simply practice writing, all of which are the reasons I roleplay. Thus, if anyone wants to have a 1x1, I am completely down. Just express your interest and what genre or general topic you'd like it to be about and I'll come up with a plot to go along, if that's what you'd like to do. Really I'm up for anything, any method. Whatever works best. I haven't run into a method that I couldn't go along with.

NOTE: I am involved in four one-on-one's currently. I don't like to turn anyone away, but I really am not looking for anything knew unless you really, really want to do one with me. I will consider it as none of my roleplays are progressing too fast, but if I feel as if I won't have the time to dedicate to you, I will probably ask you to wait until one of them either wraps up or dies.

Heya! You up for futuristic/fantasy or medieval/fantasy?

Either one! Both. Medieval mixed with futuristic? Sure thing! Haha. But yeah, I certainly am. Pick one, give me a very base idea like "I want it to be set on a different planet with space colonization drama/war" or "I want a made up world filled with made up creatures and magic and crazy elf shit", and I will have a plot suggestion for you!

A mix of both sounds nice! Yeah let's see... hmmm... How about making the theme space oriented. Different species involved, space crafts, travel, drama, conspiracy... even romance in deep space?

A little bit of action with guns replaced by primitive swords/blades/magic. Or something like that?

Kind of a cyber-y or steam punk-y idea? I can do that, sure. Let's start with some rough ideas. Tell me which parts you like, and which parts to toss.

Hm... So Earth.. Humans began spreading out to the live-able planets from their own homeland in search of resources and better places to live. Or wait, a long time ago, a group of humans accidentally discovered a kind of space warp thing and were transported to a different planet in a different galaxy where there are many strange creatures and races. Those original humans can either be us or we can be the descendants of them... Maybe our purpose is to either try to get home or if we like this land, we've become obsessed with conquering and acquiring and all the things that humans are completely prone to do...

Of course when we get the minor details worked out, I'll invent some names and characters and such. Maybe if we were the descendants and a roaming band of vagabonds we would have acquired some of the local species into our group? Hmmm...

I like the idea of having come across a warp-like device/phenomena. How? Perhaps by chance, like when a group of goody scientists hire some laborers and go exploring a certain very very veryyyyyyyyy ooooooolllllddddd ruins here on earth.

Luckily, that certain scientist also hired a merc group/private security blah blah for protection. Our characters could either be a merc and a scientist, or a mere laborer that you know, accidentally pushed some shit-y buttons. (for the lack of better term)

Then we get transported into hmmm.... Parallel Dimension sound good to you?

Parallel dimension? Like still on Earth just under different terms? I could do that. And we could have it be all non-advanced with swords and such and mythological creatures/shit we make up?

Yeah, like an advanced dimension of earth in every aspect save for weaponry. Still earth but a completely different one.

Okay, so how about this:

The year is 2010, present-day, and the Intrigue Inc. Company has assembled a team of scientists, architects, and hired 'soldiers' to go on a slightly less than routine expedition into the ruins of a just recently discovered civilization. All is going smoothly; the team arrives at their destination without trouble and begins their experimentation, excavation, and so on and so forth, until they accidentally activate a dimensional warp opened by magic many, many centuries ago that had been forgotten about by humankind. The Warp sends the team through the jump into an alternate, parallel dimension, where human kind has greatly advanced except in terms of war. They have come to see past conquering and warmongering, and in this world, the library had never burned at Alexandria, the beasts, even the supposedly mythological ones that never existed and some that humans hadn't even dreamed of in Earth 1, exist, and the people are greatly advanced in terms of knowledge. They carry simple forms of short range weapons, such as swords, daggers, long knives, and ranged weapons, such as various forms of bows. Some have even learned skills that would have been deemed 'magical' in Earth 1 but are commonplace in this world.

Yeah! That's what I'm talking about! Yep! I like this very much!

So, what shall we name this RP then? Earth 2?

Awesome. It sounds like it is gonna be really fun to play out!

Something along those lines, yeah. I'm really terrible with titles.

Hey I was kidding with Earth 2.

If the need arises, I'll try to come up with title suggestions for us.

Yes it does. But forgive me if I can't put a CS up soon. I have been awake for 31 hours for no reason.

I know exactly how that goes, being an insomniac. Take your time and put one up whenever you'd like.

Great! I'd love one. And that sounds intriguing. Modern day dystopia with some magic and some violence? Sounds kinda steampunk-y.

I think it does. Now are you hell bent on a coherent plot? I prefer to design the characters and a bare basis before letting the plot go on from there.

Oh no, not at all. I'm very relaxed about it all if you couldn't tell. I'm up for anything! However, I think we should at least come up with a loose name so we can make an OOC and work out the details.

Also, does NaNo mean we're on hold? Or are we just going to be going a little slower with things? I'm doing NaNo too, so don't worry haha.

Slower is fine. ^-^ I can still get on here, it just might take a few days for me to actually write anything.

Oh, okay. Then I shall make the OOC and post the link here in a minute. There won't be a big fancy intro post since we don't have many details hammered out yet, but I think it's time to move it to the OOC.
