Seven - Interest Check

God created the world in 7 days, and unless we do something, that's when it will end. 'Seven' will be a pre-apocalyptic RP based upon the end of the world as portrayed in Christian beliefs and in the bible - only with a kick of course. In the Bible the number 7 is an extremely significant number as it represents the perfection of God. It is used over 700 times throughout the bible, an used 54 times alone in the Book of Revelations. However, and this is where the kick comes in, what the bible fails to mention (at least our versions of them anyway), is that during the breaking of those 7 seal, during those final days, 7 souls will rise each possessing inhuman qualities, and together they will be able to prevent the end. Or rather they're to take on the hell that has been unleashed on Earth. Listed below is the roles of the Seven, it took me forever to compile that list. Also, they're not really gender biased so if you see one that you like the sound of it but oh it's girly, don't be afraid to claim it - it would make for some awesome IC convo's. Anyway, this is basically all that I have so far as I don't want to put my all into something that may not even interest anyone. If I get enough positive feedback, I will delve further into the plot and such - same with the abilities of our character's and such. As of now, everything is pretty cookie cutter.

List of the Seven Souls:

1. The Hands of the Magdalene (Mary Magdalene) - Eminates a blinding light from the palm of their hands, the power of said light has the ability to purify those with dark intentions.
2. The Blood of the Virgin (Mary) - Uses one's own blood in a variety of fashions (typically the form of a whip), to fight against enemies.
3. The Sword of the Archangel (Michael) - Alongside increased physical strength, they weild an actual sword that powerfully elimnates opponents.
4. The Voice of the Messenger (Gabriel) - Possesses the ability to confuse their victim with their words, also in the case that they're human able to make them do whatever they want. In battle their voice emits powerful waves to thwart others.
5. The Spirit of the Lamb (N/A) - Able to create copies of oneself in aparations for distractions.
6. The Kiss of the Betrayer (Judas) - The deadliest of the Seven, with one kiss they are able to kill their victim. Both a blessing and a curse, it's not exactly useful during battle.
7. The Visions of the Prophet (N/A) - Able to forsee certain events, and is completely uncontrolable.

I'm quite interested it this. It's a really cool concept, and I like the power choices.

Anyway, I'm definitely interested. Probably as the Sword of the Archangel, if I could. Though, The Visions of the Prophet look cool too. >.>

I was mostly interested in The Kiss of the Betrayer and the Visions of the Prophet.

I actually have a question about the Visions, will they be supplied by you at plot points or something else?

I'm interested in the Blood of the Virgin, and/or the Hands of the Magdalene. However, It has been a long while since I've even looked at the good book, let alone read it.

Yeah, I find it mildly amusing that I'm joining a sorta biblical roleplay, seeing as I have an utter lack of religion.

Well, a good story is a good story.

Don't worry, my ideals of religion are highly questionable. Which is why I have no problem whatsoever coming up with ways to twist the Bible. As for the Visions I will give you creative freedom to an extent. I'm pretty easy going when it comes to stuff like this, however all I would ask is that you PM me what you plan on doing before you go on doing it.

Also, I haven't even decided what I want yet lol. I think I'm going to claim the Hands of the Magdalene though. Also, there WILL be downsides to each ability I haven't written them up yet but like for the the Hands, this character has to wear gloves and is unable to touch people because she'll burn them. For the Blood this character is often extremely fatigued, weakens quite easily. The Sword has aggression issues. The Voice is deaf (maybe? does that seem like a good downside? I mean they can read lips but still). The Spirit has multiple personality issues. The Kiss seriously tortured and dark character maybe, unable to have physical intimacy as they can't kiss. And the Visions splitting migraines and uncontrollable visions which can be about anything and completely random.

What do you guys think of that?

That seems to make perfect sense, because I was thinking of the Kiss as utterly mind f*cking the person who got it. I guess we agree, and the others fit the characters.

Just btw, I'm more leaning towards the Visions.

Personally, I think having the Voice be blind would be superior. Their entire world would be sound; their voice would be all they have. But that's just my two cents. Though, it did get me interested in the Voice now. >.<

Well you also have to think about it. Most people who are deaf speak louder than normal people. I'm only partially deaf and I'm always getting told that I'm being too loud.

Very interesting. I like the Voice of the Messenger. Deafness is a pretty wicked setback for someone that relies on their voice so much.

Curious, when you say seven souls will rise, does that mean from the grave, or rise to the challenge?

See, I hadn't really gone that far with the plot so I'm open to suggestions about that! I like the idea of them rising from the dead, but then again there could be other ways. What do you guys think?

Personally, I thought you meant rise to the challenge. But it really works either way, doesn't change anything TOO hugely. Well, unless the Hands would really be the reincarnation of Mary Magdalene, etc, because then the characters become kinda preset.

No. I think we'll stick to rise to the challenge lol. We don't need to go about resurrecting 1000 year old dead people. XD

So then, are they born with the abilities, or do they gain them seven days before the end of the world, or...?

I'm going to go with being born with them. That sound ok? I mean I just think that living their lives having no idea what's wrong with them would seem fun.

Well, some of them really wouldn't make sense to be born with. For example, the Sword would likely activate when they first encountered the Sword. Other powers might not even be noticeable until they're accidentally used (like the Lamb and Prophet).

Ok so they would be something that they've discovered at some point in their life? That would make sense. I like that idea.

Yeah, that makes sense, because if they just discovered their power seven days before the world was supposed to end it wouldn't bode well for humanity.

Sigh, if you're leaning towards the Hands, I'm happy to go with the Blood. And as for limitations for Blood, she could be anaemic, or be haemophilic (unable to clot wounds or coagulate blood). Which would be seriously challenging as she could bleed out O.O

If all seven get taken, is there more room for... I dunno, normal people, kinda like an Apostle to one of the Seven?

Narubia - No that would be a little much if she were unable to reclose the wound, especially since the blood doesn't last long when used as a weapon so she would have to keep reopening the wound for the blood.

Kingmaker - As of now we only have 5 souls, so we're still open.
