In the year of 3040, when humanity had expanded throughout the Milky Way and onward to the Andromeda galaxy. There, we realized that things are not all of what they seem.

Unlike in our own galaxy, the laws of time and physics seem to be... off. The planets are beautiful and the alien life subtle and visually enticing. But no other source of extremely intelligent life has been found. And as well, as people had begun to notice only a year prior; once you enter Andromeda, you do not leave very easily. There are so many time and space ''rips'', that getting home is a distant daydream to most humans.

In the new-year of 3040, a massive light blinded many no matter where they were. If there was some window to see the sky through, or some home on the surface of a local planet, then you noticed it. This light was the center of the galaxy imploding. But all who lived in Andromeda, one way or another, simply fainted at the sight.

When the few survivors woke, billions had died. But the world was not ended; the universe not destroyed. Andromeda was still in one piece, only save for the new changes. The empty space was now filled with plumes of thick dust and mists of crystallized ice. Brilliant colors shone through these clouds and spacial formations; filling the galaxy with gorgeous color. But the center of Andromeda is ruled by a black orb now, one that seems almost like a large black planet larger than any ever before seen; and shrouded by cosmic storms.

Welcome to Andromeda 3040.

Welcome to the new year.




After what is simply referred to as "The New Year" came, billions have been left dead. A little over ninety percent of Andromeda's human migrant population has been eliminated. The small chunk left are falling like flies as well. Dying of starvation, panic, suicide, and other such deaths related to insanity and lonesome. If you thought being stuffed in your room alone was lonely, imagine having a whole solar system desolate without life for a few light-years.

But a few survivors are coming together; call it natural attraction to one another. They are all being led upon the same path. To the center of Andromeda, where a large black gas-planet has been born. As they journey to the center of the galaxy, they realized that time, space, and logic are no longer what they were before. Even though everything was off before the New Year, now everything is skewed beyond reality. With each of these survivors, the game is of survival along a path they no longer dictate.



2699- Andromeda was a proven reach, as the first astronaut flew past the boundaries of the Milky Way, and into Andromeda. Little problems occurred, and as reported from Audi Reagan (the astronaut), Andromeda was a beautiful and vast galaxy.

2700- A small colony was sent to Andromeda, locating and settling within space of the first pioneered solar system; Hera 1. All is well.

2720- A glitch occurs in the plans of the scientists trying to reach and explore Andromeda. Colony 5 of Hera 1 cannot return home. For some reason unknown to all, an invisible barrier exists where they once entered the galaxy. Two weeks later, a space warp technician is sent into Hera 1 to investigate.

2721- Colony 5 disappears; Hera 1 is now unpopulated by any, and seems as if it had never been touched. Proof of human existence in its space is nonexistent.

2900- Andromeda is the peak of interest for a funded colonial science project. A group of 300 colonists goes in, comes home, and returns to Andromeda a second time. This is taken as a sign that Andromeda is fully enter-able and exit-able.

2930- A space station of 1,000,000 people finally reaches Andromeda orbit. They settle in a solar system named Deimus. All is well.

3000- Over 40,000,000 people have relocated to Andromeda. The planets are completely furnished with fruits and vegetables, and meats that entice the tongue beyond desires. Deimus, Phobus, and Hera are each filled with business, economic glory, and prosperity. Andromeda is becoming the new Milky Way.

3030- One unusual bit of phenomena is reported. Hera- the solar system- has shifted three feet out of sync with Andromeda, and is now closer to the center. Also, on the planet Hebe, unusual animal behavior was reported. Thirty two species died out that day.

3040- The New Year came. In an explosion of light, Andromeda's core and center imploded. There was a blinding light, and all fainted. Some never woke again- less they woke up in heaven or hell. Billions died. Over 90% of the population in Andromeda died. What survivors were left bore witness to the brilliant dust clouds and beautiful space phenomena. As well, a large black gas planet has appeared in the center of Andromeda. For some reason, it has unanimously been named Erebos.


-Hera:
--->Hebe: A fruitful planet covered in thick jungle and a large, one piece continent surrounded by ocean.
--->Coeus: A dry desert planet. Small and known for its powerful predators and precious minerals buried in the sand.
--->Lelantos: A place of solid ocean, with some floating land due to the gravitational vortex fluxes. Air is thin here.
-Diemus:
--->Asteria: Planet much like earth. The only habitable planet in the system able to support human life.
-Phobus:
--->Atlas: A beautiful world rich in agriculture, wildlife, animals, and scenery. The continents exist along the equator, meaning that there is no cold land here. The oceans are all clear, no salt-water. Nick-named the Paradise Planet.
--->Perses: The opposite of Atlas; dry, cold, and covered in ice and snow. Most of this planet is bitten by harsh wind and ice, though the air is breathable and the water beneath the ice is drinkable. Popular for the strange artifacts found in the ice cores. Some of this suggests to flourishing life on this planet at one time.
--->Ophion: A cloudy industrial planet, mostly mined and drilled for oil and iron ore. Filled with pollution, but full of fossil riches.
-Tethys:
--->Hyperion: The only inhabitable planet here is rather... uninhabited. For long stretches there is cracked earth, simple streams, and basic wildlife. This place is rumored to have some kind of toxin or hallucinogen in the air.


(do remember that most people in Andromeda live on space stations and residential stations.)


Vesper Eliquez: Captain of the Nero Vettore; a Level 5 Cargo Freighter. Non-religious and stern, she is rather unaffected by the New Year.

Theo Rorge: A lifter and strong hand aboard the Nero Vettore. A classic man of ages past, who holds his values and religion close. He believes the New Year has changed his life unimaginably.

Did you lose anyone in the New Year, and if so, who?: Her eldest brother and mother.

What are your ideas of what has happened?: Vesper isn't too qualified in the science field. She simply thinks that Andromeda is ready to kick everyone's asses out. Maybe, sorta, something like that, right? She isn't totally sure, and is still trying to muster up a reason for it all. The most reasonable thought though is that some kind of other-worldly shit is going down.

How has the New Year affected you?: Business has gone downhill. Not as many important things to transport with most of the people in Andromeda dead. She misses her brother, and mourns her mother, but doesn't show it. Other than that, the New Year seems to be leading her to Erebos.

Personality: Vesper is the kind of solemn person who doesn't like to play around too much. She's down to business, quiet and to herself, and dislikes people who want to waste their time. When someone annoys her, she's unafraid to punch them in the face. Rough, violent, and a bit of a dominating tomboy, Vesper makes sure she gets by. As well, she's the kind of person who doesn't really favor company. But after the New Year, the silence is starting to get to her- but she wouldn't admit it.
Brief Bio: She was born on the Space Station Isaih V.2, with her older brother. Her mother was a ship nurse, her father a technician in vortex pathology. At the age of seven, they were forced to move because of system failures. She had then moved with her family to Atlas. Of course this was such a beautiful place, and the family was happy to be in such a beautiful environment with fresh, wonderful air...

When she turned fifteen, she graduated from Sr.12 schooling with flying colors, and was suggested to move on to bigger and better things. The only thing is that it meant leaving Atlas. But Vesper did as she had to, going then to Ophion. The dusty, polluted planet had a clouded sky, petrified forests, and stone fields that could frighten and terrify anyone who was not used to them. She was supposed to begin training for the science of fuels, but she became distracted with her job there. She was a simple cargo carrier; at first working under a small shipping company. But after having had to resort to violence once or twice, she learned that being ruthless and witty made her known for good work. After a few years, she outdid her company, and had enough money to purchase both her level 5 (extremely precious cargo) license, and her own ship. The black and hunter green ship was called Nero Vettore, the Black Carrier. After that, she has spent her time traveling the solar systems of Andromeda, learning of the cultures, people, treasures; and now of the phenomena.

Did you lose anyone in the New Year, and if so, who?: His wife, and his youngest daughter has gone missing.

What are your ideas of what has happened?: Being one of the few people who has faith in religion left, Theo believes that the end of the world has come, but some were left to start over. Perhaps it was a mistake that there were a few left, or perhaps they had some kind of fated goal. But Theo is unsure, and feels that what happens next is clearly left in the hands of God.

How has the New Year affected you?: He's grown soft after having lost his edge with the loss of his family. He makes gentle jokes and seems a little uneasy around others now. He hungers for human communication, which is often a necessity left neglected with Vesper around. Also, he feels as though he has some kind of new... psychic power coming on.

Personality: Theo is the kind of person who has a warming, gentle aura. He is a fatherly and loving figure, who despite his tall and lean stature, is a gentle giant. Strong willed though, he cannot be told otherwise from his faith and hopes. He believes in God and in humanity and values long forgotten back in the Milky Way. Also, he has a good sense of humor and an easy way with people that makes it impossibly easy for Theo to make friends.
Brief Bio: Theo was born in Phobus on a colony station, where he was raised. A slightly good student, he had the life of a worker ahead of him by his body type at a young age. He worked out hard, and believed that respect had to be earned. His parents taught him of love and society, and also gave him his religious beliefs. They made a man of Theo, before he was shipped off to Ophion. There, he worked as a miner, digging diamonds out of the earth and starting off oil wells. Unafraid, he made a great worker.

At the age of 22, he met a beautiful woman named Annalise, and she became pregnant with his child. They married before Sara Rorge was born; his gorgeous daughter. God's gift to him.

The economy declined and he had to find a different job at the age of 25, which was found by Vesper Eliquez; who was looking for a hired lifter for some of her cargo jobs. He stuck with her; coming home every weekend or two and spending a week or so with his family. Then, the New Year came, and all was wiped out. Now he is left with Vesper; and their rather awkward state of living.
