Regnum attacks.

Regnum was not doing well at all. He needed to get an advantage somehow, but he couldn't see an in. He needed to push Kiju back somehow. Regnum flaps his wings into the ground and stirs up a dust storm. Hopefully, he could gain some much need ground.

The sudden gust knocks Kiju off balance causing her to stumble back and fall upon her own metal edged claws, leaving a wicked gash on her stomach. She lay close to the ground until the dust and wind died down; the moment it did, the Bownyte rushed forward towards Regnum with horns looking to skewer the great bird like a pitchfork through straw.

Regnum attacks.

While Kiju's horns do graze his sides enough to cause bleeding, Regnum is able to gain some distance. Hovering a few feet from the ground, he now has the opportunity to summon some spirits to his aid. Regnum calls upon a spectral bull that rears its horns menacingly at Kiju and charges, much like the Bownyte did a moment ago.

After several moments of struggling Kiju managed to disburse the ethereal bovine, but not before being viciously gored. By the time she recovered, her opponent was well out of reach for melee combat. She answered with her old standby of metal scatter-shot. With an effort of will, several fragments of various metallic bits rose from the earth and massed in a cloud around the Bownyte only to be launched with lethal velocity towards Regnum.

Now that he has created a gap between himself and the Bownyte, Regnum dodges the attack with ease. Willing to stick with the only strategy that has worked so far, the Inklaw summons another fiery bovine to charge.

Kiju saw the next air entity charging and defeated it just as before, her actions more efficient allowing her to avoid being hurt as bad as before. The Bownyte was confident in her attack and knew it was only a matter of time before it landed home. Another swarm of metal shards rose from the earth, oriented themselves, then raced towards Regnum in another deadly cloud of projectiles.

Regnum races through the projectiles, mildly clipping his feathers. He opens his long talons as he aims for Kiju.

Kiju saw Regnum racing towards her and decided to meet him head on. Her attack was poorly timed as the Inklaw's claws raked at her torso sooner than expected. Pain shot though the Bownyte's body as the deep wounds were inflicted. Fighting through the pain, she reached out to grab Regnum's legs in an attempted to use his momentum to slam him into the ground.

Regnum attacks.

Regnum is caught by the leg and thrown to the ground. He is now bleeding from multiple places, including his leg that the Bownyte had successfully grabbed. Regnum stands rather slowly and sees that Kiju is injured as well. Regnum flies toward the Shade with claws opened, hoping to cause some damage while he regained the strength to summon another creature.

Kiju managed to sidestep the strike, but not without suffering a deep gash on her side. As the Inklaw passed, she threw her hand forward towards him. In response, a long iron spike sprang out of the soil directly under Regnum.

Regnum is hit by the attack, but recovers. He flies at Kiju with his talons open.

Kiju begins to feel the combined toll that the battle has taken upon her body and was too exhausted to fully avoid Regnum's strike. She knelt as she put her hand on the deep gash she received as a result. Realizing she was nearing the end of her stamina, she forced her hand forward and sent another cloud of metallic debris surging forth from the ground.
