Star Wars: The Remnant Uprising

Alright, this is the official OOC thread for The Remnant Uprising. I'll kick things off by posting my character's profile. All participants, please use the same data sheet I'm using for your characters. Note that you do not NEED a picture for your character, a description will work.

Appearance

Galik stands about 6'2 and has blue eyes. All other details can be seen in the image.

Personality
Galik is fairly typical of most low lives you can find throughout the galaxy. He can be quickly defined as rude, self centered and shallow. However, he does have a heart. Galik will risk his life for an innocent person, and would do anything in his power to help a friend out of a troublesome situation. Galik enjoys nothing more than exploring the galaxy and embarking on new adventures. Oh, and Corellian Ale!

Background

Galik was born on the planet Tralus in the Corellian system. His father was a miner and his mother was a house wife. He showed signs of being force-sensitive at a very young age. He was able to use telekinetic abilities without training at age five. His parents took note of his talents, and requested that he be taken to the Jedi Temple for training when they encountered a passing Jedi. They felt that his talents would be used for good, and that the Jedi could offer him a better life than that of an underground miner.

Galik was taken to the Jedi Temple on Yavin at the age of 7, when he began his intense training under the supervision of Luke Skywalker himself. As time went on, Galik acted out against the strict rules of the Jedi more and more. He would use his exceptional strength in the force for his own amusement, which often included jumping over the temple walls into the forest where he'd uproot trees using telepathy. He was also known for playing pranks on his peers, turning over their bunks as they slept and tripping them as they walked through the halls. His mentors, including Skywalker, tried their best to put an end to his disobedient behavior, but to no avail.

The worst was to come when Galik became a Padawan. He'd often disobey his Master's orders, usually resulting in trouble for the pair. At the age of 18, Galik went to Skywalker and told him the way of the Jedi wasn't for him, and he left the temple. He went back to his homeworld Tralus and spent a few years with his parents, until the death of his father. His mother's death followed soon after, and he grabbed a ship and headed to Corellia.

Galik took up the life of a mercenary, using his abilities in the force to perform duties for whoever had the right amount of credits. He purchased a Dynamic-Class Freighter and customized it with weapons and other upgrades to suit his mercenary lifestyle. He travels from planet to planet, taking on jobs and upgrading his ship. Though he has turned his back on the Temple, Galik continued to train himself in the force, often meditating and performing basic telepathy exercises. He also uses remotes to keep his lightsaber skills top notch.

Kaive stands at 6 feet tall with dark violet eyes

Personality:
When in the presence of his Sith master, Kaive is all business. He's loyal and abiding and would honorably serve to the death, but when alone he has a tendency to be manipulative, deceiving, and very cruel. He lusts like any young man, it's not known if he's capable of love, and his dark plan is to overthrow even his own master given the chance.

Weapon(s): Single or dual red lightsabers
Vehicles: A fan of Extreme Speederbike Racing, he keeps several in his private collection along with a custom bike that he built for himself.

Background:
Kaive was born to good parents, his father in government representing widespread Galaxy peace, and his mother a talented artist and dancer. Kaive also had an identical twin brother, Sevil who became secretly involved in smuggling and Corellian drug runs on the surface when he was just 19 years old. On a particularly shady mission smuggling valuable goods, Sevil was uncovered by a Hutt gang lord and captured. During the torturous interrogation to try and recover the stolen goods, Sevil failed to cooperate and was brutally murdered. Upon discovery of his brother's untimely death, Kaive's desperate and deadly powers were revealed when he sought the location of the Hutt gang lord and burned him alive in a fire caused by extreme levels of electricity. Kaive's firm belief is that Sevil was completely innocent of any sort of crime and would not accept his ever being involved in smuggling.

When introduced to the Dark Jedi and the ways of the Sith, he was immediately convinced that he could use that same harnessed energy and rage he'd used on the hutt gang lord to serve his new masters. Through several grueling trials that proved his mental prowess and physical acuteness, he was allowed to skip the lesser teachings he'd missed and ascended to a position of servitude. A slave to his Sith master, his obedient mask is temporarily giving him the lessons and experience he needs to overthrow his own Sith master and forcibly take on any challenging masters along the way.

Kaive particularly enjoys Extreme speederbike racing and influentially gambling on his favorite racers. He has built his own custom speederbike, and he enjoys the company of powerful women. He has never LOVED a woman since his obsession is with furthering his power and fulfilling what he believes is his deserved destiny.

Guess I'll go ahead and post the basic plot of this RP for anyone who doesn't already know.

Imperial Remnant have uncovered blueprints to the Death Star. Led by a Dark Jedi and his Apprentice, they begin construction on the deadly space station with the hopes of once again striking fear into the galaxy and reviving the Empire.

Galik and company get wind of something out of place behind the scenes, and begin to investigate this series of odd occurrences. With the help of Luke Skywalker, he will eventually track down those responsible and defeat them before these dreams become reality. There will be alot of events that happen between points A and B, and that's where we'll just play by ear until we come to the conclusion.

I just thought I might add that No Jedi force could extinguish the Sith... they are one in the same in the flow of this massive galaxy (book after book, comic after comic, movie after movie) so to say they get defeated and its game over is depressing. lol It's why I added that goal for my character... SOMEONE has to get away... and that allows you to start a new chapter, introduce the new generation into another story. I'm not saying my character is all-mighty, but he will most likely try to overthrow his master or die in the process.... he's willing to suffer pain and a Sith's own wrath to get what he wants out of revenge. He fights to survive.

Appearance


At 6 feet 3 inches tall Yusanis is slender but his frame is packed with lean muscle. His Echani heritage lends him an aura all it's own.


Personality
An Echani both by birth and by nature He speaks little which some think is anti-social. But the heritage of his blood is that he views words as pointless. For the Echani only through combat can the truth and anything worth speaking of shine.

Further more he is highly observant, reading subtle clues in those around and the environment. This can unnerve some, a secret pleasure of his, for they begin to think he can read the future.

And because of his Echani heritage he is proud and disdain those that can not fight. In many ways he is a Sith but his overall personality prevents him from sinking too far down that path.

Background

Born on Thyrsus the Echani child Yusanis was from a young age well aware of his place in the grand scheme of things. Possessing the genetic heritage of his people and the preserved teachings kept on Thyrsus He was soon a full fledged member of the Sun Guard, a sect of Assassins that served Darth Sidious in the years before the clone war and in the clone war.

The already harsh training of the Sun guards was made nearly unbearable when at the age of 3 Yusanis was proven to be sensitive to the force. Already he was leaping around, the jumps powered by the force. For awhile the Sith Lord took an interest in him but when Darth Maul came around such personal attention ended. Although a gifted lightsaber duelist his grasp of the higher arts of the force was wanting. And like a tool that has outlived his usefulness he was discarded. But the few force users among the Sun Guards help finish what the Sith Lord started.

But in a way the Echani Assassin was later to be grateful, for he had escaped the true Dark Side and Darth Maul's fate. The clone wars went by in a blur, one target blending into the next. Jedi, Generals, Clone Troopers it didn't matter they where just the next mark. But when the infamous Order 66 came out the Assassin had an awakening as it where.

The deaths of thousands of Jedi, their life energy suddenly ended caused echos in the Force. And for a force sensitive like Yusanis it was unbearable, although a Assassin he was still deep down a good person. All the deaths hit him at once with the force of a thousand blows. No longer did his dark path seem like the right one. An assassin is not a monster and this was the act of a monster.

Although his very link to the force made it hard to hide he nonetheless sent Darth Sidious his letter of resignation as it where. The Commander of the Sun Guards head, neatly cut with his lightsaber's twin blades.


Then began his quest of redemption. Knowing the rebels would never accept a former Sith Assassin in their ranks he lone wolfed it. Commanders suddenly showed up dead, ships hauling valuable cargo for the Empire failed to show up at their ports of call, even some of the force users to join Sidious fell at his lightsaber. Even the Emperor's robes went missing, a feat he quite enjoyed as it sent a clear message.All of it for his quest to earn forgiveness.

Battles where fought and lost or won. Heroes where made and a new Jedi Order was built. Yusanis even studied there for a time when he proved to the masters and their Grandmaster Skywalker the he no longer followed the dark path. But the peaceful neutrality of the Jedi made his Echani nature chafe and it was not long before he left. At peace with himself now that the demons of his past are at rest. But knowing he is no Jedi he wanders still trying to find his path and do the most good he can.
