Dominion of the Mind: OOC

In the distant future, in the year 3021, we have civilizations scattered amongst space. Planets are being explored and taken for populating, but most people live in large social space stations. Usually these stations have a purpose, or a community-like basis.

Welcome to the Dominion Space Station, or the Dominion best said. This station was recently reconstructed and revamped from its first form, which was a hospital station known as the White Dominion. But little do the new inhabitants know of the haunting past, and the reason the White Dominion had succumb to its failure and demise.

In the year 3001, the White Dominion was under an attack. There was a set of four attacks, each said to be possessed- at least by religious zealots. Others, scientists, believed it was an attack by plasma-based alien lifeforms that were able to slip into human bodies and take control. Either way, the destruction of hundreds of lives was hidden by the Galactic Government.

And now, it has been formed into a community.... And the events of the past are bound to happen again, whether anyone knows it or not...






The point is that a series of events begins to unfold, and the station becomes cut off from all forms of communication with the outside. Will the same destructive events unfold again as four possessed people, believing they are symbolic "Horsemen of the Apocalypse", haunt you and your fellow shipmates? Or will you pair up and find a way out alive?






The center of the station is a wide and large dome of a strong glass-like material. Inside is a park/civilian area. At the outer edges are shops and vendors for people to sell crafts/foods/arts/etc... And at the inner circle are a set of 10 telescopes of sorts where the people of Dominion can look at the constellations or spot other planets/stations/ships/etc.

The center is surrounded by a wide ring. This broad metal ring is a residential unit that encircles the central dome.

The ring has 4 flat wings that jut out of it. They are shapen like hexagonal petals (image below is something I made in two seconds in Paint, to demonstrate shape). Each wing has a purpose/specific use.
- First: This is the shape I'm going for with the wing.



The wings are known in name of direction.

North Wing: Hospital/Infirmary & Health Sciences (hospital and science labs for studying disease, infection, etc...)
South Wing: Agriculture & Biology (This is where the food is, where most is grown in a large green-house like place. Food is also stored, and biology is studied here- the science of animals and plants)
East Wing: Hanger/Machine Lab & Physical Sciences (where technology and weaponry is created and stored. As well, physics and the like are practiced and studied here).
West Wing: University (this is where education takes place, for all ages. You can also get training for a specific job here).



The Docking Bay is a large sphere beneath the central dome. It is riddled with many holes (that open or close as see needed) that function together. This place is where ships dock/leave. It connects to the ring via several long bridges that rise out of the sides and move upwards into the ring.

Below the ring are two small spikes of sorts, which are prisons/confinements. Convicts or criminals are kept here, as well as mischief-makers. Interrogations also happen here. This place is off limits.

Over the ring is a small satellite that looks like an orb of sorts. It orbits the Dominion and has the ability to connect with the ship need it to. It serves as a Captain's quarters as well as a communications room in case of emergencies.

Personality: Esper is a strong-willed woman who doesn't look down on life. She's always curious and adamant, and will go great lengths to prove a point. With a tough-girl attitude always about her, Esper is a great asset to any kind of project, because she never fails to follow through. Reliable, sensible, and still focused yet fun, Esper is overall a good person who doesn't seem to have too many skeletons in her closet. At least she doesn't seem that way..

Hayden is intelligent, though cocky. His time spent training with various weapons and small ships has left him with a slight superiority complex. However, he's genuinely compassionate about others and does his best to take care of the people of the station. His insight into military and technological projects makes him a quick-thinker and go-by-the-fly for situations.
