Something Lies in the Darkness OOC

Sorry to have taken so long but here's the profile. I hope it's up to par. Ine is also drawing a picture for her currently so I'll have that up when she's done.

Name: Reene Zech
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Country: Kiran
Weapons: Reene carries everything from needles to short swords. Whatever she can really stuff in various places using her clothing and holsters. She possess only one gun, though she prefers to use the damned thing only in critical situations.

Personality: Being raised by her ever peace-loving mother, Reene is fairly level headed and has a brave heart. She gathers all possible evidence before concluding a situation. While she'd rather avoid violence Reene isn't some pushover. She understands that not all conflict can be solved peacefully. Reene is also a quick thinker capable of formualting a plan that will save as many of her team as she can.

Bio: Both of Reene's parents are actual Kiran people. Few family's actually survived but their true lineage was kept hidden. Instead they just continued living in Kiran, many taking up rather powerful roles in Unita. Trying to keep the peace amongst the countries had been their most important goal.

Reene's father had not picked up one of those powerful possitions though. No, he had been charged with another task: To keep an eye on the Nod land. Paranoia of the Nod arrising once more had filled each and every one of the elder generation. Reene's father had been in the group who discovered that not all of the Nod had died. That had been the time where her father had really started to crack down on her training.

At a young age Reene had basically been raised by her mother alone. The peaceful and kind hearted woman had tried to keep her daughter as sheltered from everything as possible and till the age of nine Reene had been a rather ignorant child. Her father had opened her eyes to the world, very much against the wishes of her mother.

The training had been gruelling. Whoever had thought that peaceful people had no need for fighting skills was an idiot. It seems that some of true Kiran decent were quite bitter towards their destroyers, that just so happened to include her father. He had told her that no daughter of his would have no means of defending herself against such heartless creatures. Nine long years of extensive training had finally granted her graduation, the tattoos that marred her body proof of that.

For the last two years Reene has been working the night shift for the guard duty of Kiran's own ambassador. With recent events and with Nod's approaching attack she's been put on the job full time along with keeping an eye on those who are coming to the confrence.

Appearance: Standing at five foot four Rene has a thin build to her. Her body is more like a gymnist than a warrior, more for speed than for fighting. Being a voluptious woman was never in her genes. Her hair is about shoulder length but one wouldn't really notice that because it is constantly up in a bun at the back of her head. It's dark brown coloring is the complete opposite compared to her icy blue eyes. Complextion wise Reene is rather pale, most of her work being at night only leaves sleeping to do in the day time. Various strange tattoos litter much of her body, but mostly her arms and torso.

As for attiar goes, Reene usually wears a pair of black shorts that reach just above her knees, and a blue sleeveless shirt with mesh over it. Black boots end mid-calf and blue gloves travel all the way up to her elbows. Various weapons are scattered about, like in her boot or at the small of her back.

Hmmm I like the aspect of Kiran people still controlling many aspects of Kiran's cities. But remember everyone believes them all to be dead, so the ambassador of the Kiran will have to stay secret. Perhap he could play me medator of the meeting.

I won't be post anymore tonight guys....sorry. My Grandma had a bit of an accident and is in the hospital so I'm going down to visit. Take care tonight guys and I look forward to continuing tomorrow.

Well I thought that the Kiran ambassador would be the mediator. I thought that even though that everyone believes that they are a dead people they would still need elected officials to govern and keep the country in order. The people wouldn't have exactly thought that the Kiran ambassador would actually be Kiran.

They are keeping themselves hidden but they are still taking charge of the land that is rightfully theirs.

And thus Double Trouble starts anew. Did you ever notice that you're always the more rational one in the team?

I had a nice long, fun post. But due to the fact that i'm using this stupid stupid touchpad, i accidentally clicked off the site as my mouse was hovering, completely getting rid of my entire post. I seem to be doing this a lot lately:pale:. I'd just re-write it, but i'm leaving and wont be returning until later tonight. i REALLY need to get used to writing in WordPad again...

/walks away, grumbling about how stupid he feels....

My post will cover moments in the post i wanted to make today, and the moving in on the real storyline. I don't thin it'd be realistic for me to have my character show its face until after the meeting anyhow.

Reene would probably be the escort once everyone is there but then I can also have her accompany the others on a ship and she's just kind of their to made sure no hostility ensues....

That's not a bad idea. Just kinda muscle you way on to the ship while everyone else is getting on. lol Well whatever you guys decide to do next well work around it. :-p

There is also nothing wrong with camping Ine....I liked it....well, up until the part when I broke my arm and wrist. Then it wasn't so much fun anymore. Can't say I've gone camping since.

Hey I like camping! :-p I go when I get the chance. Hunting too is fun...and fishing and well being out doors in general.

I'd rather not be technically homeless for hours on end thank you very much. If I want to hike and fish, I'll do it and then go back to my home and sleep in my bed. Unless sleeping outside is necessary to my survival I'd rather avoid it.

Well, i wouldn't have imagined anyone knew of either the Kiran, nor Nod.

Both were considered extinct, right? So i mean Nod would know they're there. They would also know the rest of the countries are still there. Though having knowledge of the continued existence of Kiran would be intensely limited for Nod[rumors, hearsay]. Considering i'd imagine if Kiran knew for a fact Nod were still around, they wouldn't hesitate to let the rest of the world know- considering Nod is a common enemy for everyone.

Not exactly. To my knowledge humans had always had the mindset to not believe in the monsters under their beds until it was too late. It's a comfort and people tend to ignore what they can't see.

Besides the countries in this RP did search the Nod land and found nothing, didn't they? If Reene or her people say that Nod is back it could be taken just as an excuse to cover up the fighting amongst the countries.

On another note, Kiran wants to stop all fighting. Another war is not something that they wish to have so more than likely they would be trying to solve the problem without making it large scale. They'd be trying to create a plan to destroy the last of the Nod without causing panic to the masses. Sort of sweep it under the rug.

But then again that's just what I think.

Though we all know that this will never come true because Nod will make themselves known to the world once more.

While I simply adore disagreeing with Kana, I would have to agree her side on this point.

...is the first sentence in the last paragraph of the intro. I'd imagine that would have some sort of significance. Kiran is known, if not well know. However, it's people are thought to be extinct. And, secondly, if Nod hears hearsay of Kiran. Than, I'm sure that it works the other way around too. Before 9/11 attacks there were supposed calls to government officials that were allegedly swept under the rug. That, essentially, is what Kiran is doing at the moment.

Besides, the role of the Kiran ambassador wouldn't quite be all to usefull if they weren't aware of what they were fighting. If anyone would know, it would be the Kiran government officials, the inner workings of the city.

Can I hear a whoot for things that probably don't need my POV? Probably not.

Good to know Kana had the same ideas as me when it came to the people of Kiran and the motives. It's been 200 years since Nod has shown their faces, in 200 years many things can be forgotten as of tall tales.

Fudge that is correct as well, they are sweeping it under the rug. But the people of Kiran and the country are no longer just people who control light. It is its own country and government with people from all lands who simply wish to get away from the chains of loyalty to one country or the other. It just so happens that Kiran's last pure blooded people have gained control over the government and like you said are trying to sweep what's really going on under the rug.

Oh I know that. I just figure at it's epicenter are the actual Kiran people.

Sounds about right. i was just saying because [from what i remember of that day] i saw someone mentioning the presence of Nod in their post. I may have over thought and am really not upset or like overly worried about it. I was merely more curious, and trying to figure out the motive for mentioning Nod even being around [though in retrospect, to me it shouldn't matter]
