Name: Mackenna Garth

Bio: Mackenna was raised in a broken home. Her father left her and her mother when she was only 3 years old, and reappeared on her 14th birthday. He tried desperately to repair their relationship, but that only caused Mackenna to rebel. In the end, her father left a year later, much to Mackenna's delight. After that, she ended up taking out her lip, nose, and eyebrow ring, and her grades have increased dramatically.

Name: Roxanna Sayer

Bio: Though Roxanna looks on the dark side, she's actually a vibrant type of girl. Her parents ignore her most of the time, being wrapped up in their own love, and is merely dismissed as a stranger that happens to live in the same house as them. This has both a positive and negative effect for her. Roxanna has more freedom to express herself with her dancing and drawing and also with her friends, but the love she craves from them isn't there. She is an average student even with the fact she skips some of her classes to take a drag on a cigarette.

Name: E.B. Grogan (Elias Balthazaar Grogan / Mr. Grogan / Mr. Frog / Croakin' Grogan/ Kermie)

Age: 51

Appearance: E.B. stands a modest 5ft. 7in. and weighs in at approximately 146 pounds. His hair is dirty-blonde-gone-grey, though very thin on top, his eyes are brown and often magnified by his uncommonly thick glasses. Grogan's arms are long for a man his height, hanging almost to his knees when standing. Grogan's face is appropriately round and frog-like, as you would expect from a man who was nick-named 'Kermit' by his unkind classmates when he was 7.

Bio: E.B. Grogan is a very unexeptional man, with one exceptional exception - he can remember and catalogue historical events in an almost computer-like manner, so it was that early in his life he chose the path of History teacher. E.B. has never been married and in fact, has never had a second date. Though not unhappy with his extended batchelor life, Grogan is looking: he sees himself as Marc Antony, seeking his perfectly matched Cleopatra ... who apparently is nowhere near CHS, where he has taught Jr./Sr. level Social Science/History/Government classes for the last 20 years.

Name: Ms. Eveline Lavante

Age: 27

Appearance: Short and petite, Ms. Lavante stands at 5'2" and weighs in at 112 lbs. She has long curly brown hair that is unruly and magnificent and big brown eyes with gold flecks that are rimmed by thick black lashes. Her dark skin is interrupted with a smattering of freckles on her face and shoulders. Evie does have some funny quirks such as webbed toes and double-jointed knees and she is a little self-conscious about her nose, which she feels is too big. Ms. Lavante generally dresses in comfortable pants or skirts and blouses. She tries to keep it simple and classic with an unexpected twist like big green earrings or a feather hairpiece.

Bio: Eveline comes from a very proper French family of which she is third generation American. She's the second of three children and grew up in a bilingual home that was bent on retaining it's heritage and traditions. She went against her parents' wishes for her to marry well and breed French children, and became a high school art teacher. Evie's been teaching at Cade High School for the past 5 years and enjoyed every minute of it.

Bio: Evan is that one weird funny guy. The class clown, the semi-outcast who looks like an almost verging goth meets average guy. He hangs out with metal-heads and rockers, and enjoys the same taste in music as his posse. He is comical and fruity at times (though fruity not in the gay way). He is wild and will do just about anything, and seems pretty satisfied with his life. His parents are divorced. He spends his weekdays with his Korean mother and her (strange) boyfriend, and his weekends with his comical American father. Life seems good.

He also has a brother named DJ who seems to take a bit more to the normal side of life than he does.

Name: Lilly Tang
Age: 17
Appearance: She stands around 5'6", a bit taller than average. Lilly has straight black hair that falls to the middle of her back that she usually keeps up in a ponytail. She has dyed it before, but at the moment it's mostly black, naturally fading to reddish brown at the ends. Her skin is somewhere between cream and tan, fairly pale but not white. She has almond shaped dark brown eyes. Lilly weighs around 102 pounds, which isn't really surprising considering how skinny she is. She usually dresses in a loose blouse and jeans, but will put on dresses and skirts when it comes to formal events. She has one piercing in either ear, and likes dangly earrings.
Bio: Lilly's father is an Asian businessman and her mother is a British actress. They're both busy most of the time, so Lilly grew up very independent and a little spoiled. She can be downright rude at times because of it. Through her childhood she was taught a lot of things that aren't useful today, such as how to go through a tea ceremony or how to fake tears. When she started public schools, she was well-liked enough for her spunky attitude and looks, though she did make some enemies. Overall, Lilly's life has been uneventful and pleasant, aside from a few... violent episodes when she was young.

Name: Jack G. Burskin
Age: 17

Appearance: Jack is a pretty standard looknig geek. Wears his dark brown hair medium-length to the base of his neck. Has a thin, zitty face with a slightly crooked nose (he broke his nose many years ago) and a few thin hairs on his upper lip. Watery brown eyes covered by thick, black-rimmed glasses. Skinny arms and legs, very little muscle.

Bio: Born in 1992, Jack quickly became a musical child. As he grew he learned to play piano very well, and eventually trumpet, acoustic guitar, trombone, alto saxophone and bass. Nowadays, he's a bit of a band geek and this year he's aiming for first trumpet. He lost it last ear, in grade 11, and this year he'll stop at nothing to catch the hottest spot in the band.

Name: Kasey Leigh McGowan
Age: 17
Appearance: Kasey stands at a rough estimated height of 5'8" which is tall for a girl, but normal in her family line. And when it comes to weight, many are stumped; she doesn't look it, but she's in the 120s and that's all she'll ever admit.

Her limbs are smooth, slender and evenly tanned from the beach as well as proportionate to her lengthy body and long legs. A cute, well-rounded face that is virtually flawless and free of wrinkles and blemishes is always accompanied by a cascade of thick, dirty-blonde curls and a glossy white smile. In a nutshell, Kasey is California in the flesh.

Bio: Born and bred in Sunny Hills, California and ever since, Kasey and her parents were always on the move; constantly relocating for business, pulling her out of one school and straight into the next one or home-schooling her until the next town they hit. This factor has made settling hard for the teenager but given that the moving process is routine for her, it's become rather easy to make friends in a new place and she's often seen surrounding herself with a variety of people and cliques. And while most would expect Kasey to have a bad relationship with her parents, as they are forever working or moving her away, they actually hold quite the relationship and spend as much time, as the work schedule will allow, together.

It's because of her family's situation that Kasey has become very patient, forgiving, appreciative and understanding. But she isn't all sunshine, in fact, she's been known to have those moments where she believes that because she is so patient, forgiving, appreciative and understanding that she is above all others who are not. Her superiority complex however, is no match for her perfectionist tendencies. Though, there aren't many who have seen these sides to her as they wouldn't have the chance since she moves before it happens usually.

It's still open. This one needs a good number of people. A mystery among four people isn't much of a mystery.

So yeah, the more the merrier.

Name: Karen Anne Esther

Age: 17

Appearance:
Karen stands at a height of 5'8" and weighs about 120 lbs. She has no real defining features that would set her apart from a crowd despite her kind smile. She does exude a level of warmth from her and has a natural beauty that she rarely mares with make-up.

Bio: Karen grew up as an only child to two very kind people. She was always given the love and attention she needed, but wasn't spoiled by her parents. Her family never had financial problems, though they weren't exceptionally well off. Her parents loved her dearly and she loved them in return.

When she was about ten, her mothers brother, her uncle came down for a family visit. He was always the black sheep of the family, but everyone thought he was fairly nice. While everyone was off on their own, he took Karen inside to the room he was staying at and had her take her clothes off. He then proceeded to molest her.

He told her not to tell anyone and she kept her mouth shut about the whole incident, but when she turned sixteen her parents were both in a horrible accident, taking both their lives. She was left alone and devastated. By that time her uncle had gotten a steady job and had even married, so she was sent to live with him.

She was filled with dread for what was to come, and after about a month it did. Still she was allowed to finish up her high school life at the school she had been attending before and was glad for that bit of good grace. Until she found out that the girl had been killed.

Alright, I'm giving this signup to the end of the week, and then I am going to start the posting up.

I'll get a table of contents up with characters and a kill board to keep track of who dies, victims and killers (once revealed.)

Just in case you are picked as the killer, try to summon up some creative ways to do people in. Remember, this isn't about sappy high school roleplay, this is about sappy high school roleplay that turns into lots of KILLING.

I know that sounds twisted, but it's potentially comic fodder, in a way, like a bad slasher horror flick where you cheer the killer.

IC is here and recruitment is ongoing because people's characters are disposable, so it's easy for people to join right up.

So have at it! Improvise if you want. Try to keep it to like three posts per character per day so we can keep it moving forward. No need to get long and complicated.

The murderer will be mailed once you guys start posting with the details of what he needs to do. The murderer's actions will be given to me to write up. Similarly, if someone wants to guess at the murderer (real guesses, you will be forced to provide some sort of evidence) I need to be PM'ed.

Name: Noah Williams
Age: 18

Bio: Noah's lived in the small town all his life, and has two caring parents. At school he's not well known, but well enough recognized, often referred as "Oh, that one guy." He was Abigail McKernan's ex-boyfriend (she broke up with him two weeks before school started).

While he was extremely smooth and cool in that movie, Matthew Broderick, in my opinion is super average looking, so he fits my character.

I picked a killer, but the killer didn't respond, so I'm gonna have to pick another killer. No volunteers. It's all random.

Oh, and just for the record-- feel free to push things forward, switch scenes a bit and generally create whatever plots you feel like. The way I envision this is that you guys have a very free hand to interact and do as you will, so go ahead and just do your thang. The killer will strike when the killer strikes. Don't wait for it. The idea is to be surprised by it.

Name: Maury K. Lattice

Age: 62

Appearance: Maury used to be an attractive man. His students would more likely describe him as a charming, twitchy weirdo. Maury rarely stands without slouching, but at full height he's about six feet tall. He has a slight weight problem. Wearing his tattered suits he just looks like a big man who's getting older. His white, receded hair is slicked back and his eyes are light blue. Maury's face is lined and pocked with age but the intense gaze of his youth remains.

Bio: Maury was a hack science fiction writer during the '70s who took on his job as an English teacher in '86. He discovered that he has a serious heart condition and decided that health insurance would be a good idea.

Maury, or Mr. Lattice as his students know him, embellishes the classics he is required to teach with his own pulpy and absurd Sci Fi imaginings. Because of his tenure, Mr. Lattice has managed to avoid the No Child Left Behind Act's normalizing effects and continue his hack ways. Well-liked among the majority of students at Cade High, Mr. Lattice entertains himself as well as his students in an institution he deems cold and stultifying at best.

The rest of the faculty are not so fond of Mr. Lattice. They see him as an incompetent man who should have been fired ages ago, getting by without working while they slave away after-hours. Maury's personal life, beyond his past employment as a freelance author writing texts of dubious quality, are unknown to both faculty and students.
