Personality: Brett keeps to himself. if you were at a party and he was in the crowd...well he wouldn't be,he would be in a far corner leaning against a wall, contemplating with his thoughts. He is not very sociable at all! If Brett trusts you though, he could talk with you for hours. I guess you could classify him as shy...mysterious. He always smiles, but no one hardly ever knows why.

History: Came from a rich family in Washington, where he lived as an only child to his mom and dad. When he was 18, fresh out of high school he left home, and took a plane to New York in hopes of making big money. He attended a 4 year college and then set out to find work. Around this time word of his parents death had spread, and their money had not gone to him, but to his aunt. He was successful though and landed a job and a big company, as the years flew by, he slowly raised in ranks, until one day he yelled at the boss and it got him fired. He didn't have a girlfriend, home or anything now, not even family.

Name: Aodhfin (pronounced: AY-fin)

Species: Djinni (English: Genie)
Smokeless flame creatures of magic created at the same time as men and angels. They have been called devils, and some are, but djinn are creatures with free will and their own complex society. There are many subordinate classes of djinn, relating to strength, ability, and habitat; "djinn" is an all-encompassing term.

Even the weakest djinn is very powerful. Shapeshifting and becoming invisible are the most common, basic abilities. Stronger djinn have stronger magic, usually based in the elements. The most powerful djinn can grant wishes.

Though Aodhfin uses masculine pronouns in reference to himself, djinn do not have gender. He can as easily be female as male, or human or earthworm or apple tree.

Not all djinn are the same age, but all are immortal. Aodhfin is slightly younger than the Earth.

Appearance:
Among mortals, Aodhfin adopts a human appearance -most commonly one of a young man. This appearance is skinny, tan, 5'5", and possessed of red-brown hair. He has a young face with a soft chin.

History:
Aodhfin is a prince of the Holy Kingdom of Fire, given guardianship of the gateway to Muspell, the Land of the Fire Giants. He is not a lesser prince, and even the kings of the djinn afforded him the respect equal to his authority.

Almost two thousand years ago, in Ireland, he was betrayed by his wife, Kenna, who was part of a taskforce set to guard the starstones. Kenna joined with High King Diarmait mac Áedo Sláine, and -using the Star of India's powerful magic- made a slave of Aodhfin, trapping him in a lantern.

This betrayal occurred before Aodhfin could anoint the next Master of Beasts and guide him into his holy stewardship of the nine kingdoms. Without a Beastmaster, all the worlds have suffered. In the world of men environmental distress is killing off life one species at a time.

Recognizing the danger, Aodhfin was taken from Diarmait by his brother, Blathmac, who shared the seat of High King. Blathmac entrusted Aodhfin's lantern into a what became the foundation of a secret organization dedicated to protecting the trapped djinn prince. Others have fought to claim it, wanting the power of a djinn at their disposal, but for the most part Aodhfin was been undisturbed. His prison is complete, and because the starstone used to trap him was the Star of India, no one can break him free of his slavery.

Time has passed; the world has become harsher, and magic scarcer. Few people remember the djinn. Even fewer people remember Aodhfin, locked inside a wrought iron lantern.
