Dax's little....friends? Empty Disappeared... In London!

Post by Dax Mon Oct 26, 2009 8:17 pm

Name: Balthazar

Gender: Male

Age: 147

Race: Archdemon

Appearance:
As himself
Dax's little....friends? 934_RakdosImage

As a human, he takes on the appearance of a normal old man
Dax's little....friends? Oldman

Personality:(Include attitudes towards other Preternaturals and Humans)
He has an intense hatred for humans. He will not hesitate to blame them for everything and anything. To add to his hate list, every man of the cloth, angel or anyone or thing that has to do with the light to him is an enemy. His hate is his passion and his reason of being.

Balthazar, when confronted by any race other than humans, is normally quite dismissive and cold. Not only does he rarely keep eye-contact, but he seldom answers them with a full sentence. Unless there is something he finds particularly interesting or admirable (envious is more like it) he suddenly warms up to the person in hopes of learning or stealing his secrets. If someone can get a sentence or a discussion from him, he is sarcastic and rude as can be. When he speaks, however, it is not dull.

Powers: (Wizards, Witches, Mages, require an enormous amount of time to perform magic. Keep it reasonable).
Balthazar, in his human form can control small flames and cast very small, stunning spells of flame. It is, if you will, just enough to stun or inflict intense but superficial pain on his victim to buy him enough time to either escape, simply to see his victim suffer or for him to change into his demonic form.
In his real appearance, Balthazar usually uses a whip to steal or knock his enemies’ weapon from his hand. If this doesn’t work on the first try, however, he immediately switches to his fire spells. Walls and jets of lava and fire jet from the ground and fingers to engulf surround and melt his victim. The bad side of him in his true form is the amount of destruction and/or space needed for his spells. In the city of London, he never if rarely changes from his human form into his demon self. He is forced to use weak magic most of the time because of these constrictions.

Bio: Balthazar only remembers him suffering pain unimaginable by a large shadow beast that is only known as Lord by all of the Archdemons and Master by the rest of the demons and devils. He then remembers waking up in Westminster Cathedral. He was surrounded by strange men. He would later know these men as members of The Knights. This happened 147 years ago.
After escaping, Balthazar has been wandering London, trying to locate any satanic worshipers so that he may gain more of his lost power by worship and replace Satan as the devil. Balthazar would do anything to achieve this...anything.....

File:
- maximum clearance -
- threat level: high -
File name: Balthazar
Appearance: Old man, mid 60s
Status: Alive
Information:
Balthazar is very dangerous and if spotted must be approached with extreme caution. He has been under our surveillance for 146 years, one of the longest, and we still have failed at executing this freak of nature. All attempts to do so have failed. Further attempts on stand-by. Do not try to apprach this creature.

Dax's little....friends? Empty No freakin' clue/forgot

Post by Dax Fri Nov 06, 2009 6:13 pm

Name: Jean St-Clair

Age: 37

Date of birth: 663 A.D

Home Country/Country: France

Appearance: Dax's little....friends? 36425-004-0D13F210

Weapon: A simple Long sword

Armor: none, the dress of a priest

Occupation: Priest/Knight/Mercenary

Magic: White Magic

Bio:
When Jean first heard of the warring factions on his neighboring island to the north, he knew it was to be his destination. Jean St-Clair pleaded to the king of France on the potential gains of aiding a particular faction gain total control. The King would have none of it. Jean thought, thought and thought harder. There was only one way to convince a deeply pious King to do something against said wishes. Jean’s blind zeal would stop at nothing.

Eventually, through faking a divine vision and possession, he was able to convince the King into letting him go to the isle. However, he would have no backing from the French Crown or government, they would be alone. The men that were to be assigned to Jean were to be his only soldiers. With that, Jean, along with 150 of the famous French Cavalry landed on the shores of Britannia.

Jean and his men, that he baptized Les Fleurs de Lys, have made camp on the shores: abandoned and forgotten by their king. The French have made no attempt in camouflaging their presence in the area and is probably wildly known by all. They now wait to see which Realm would seek their help.

Extra Information: Jean is corrupted, yes, but he knows the value of his Knights and will choose the side that he finds more...’appealing’. Otherwise known as the one with bigger pockets.

Dax's little....friends? Empty We Are One

Post by Dax Mon Aug 02, 2010 12:50 pm

Name:Joe Williams

Age:74

Appearance: Dax's little....friends? Kane

Ability: [explain the ability in full]
Joe’s ability is to freeze things by touch. In order for the process of a freeze to begin Joe must touch the object with his bare hands. It must be his hands and no other.

Once Joe touches the object, in this case person, that person will start feeling a vague sense of cold that will multiply very fast into a very uncomfortable coldness until it becomes pain and the flesh starts to freeze, blood-vessels burst and so on. The frost will then spread if Joe’s hand is left unchecked to the rest of the body and eventually kill the person, completely freezing the object in the process.

Due to the inconveniences that his power may pose, Joe is always wearing two white gloves. Another thing that must be noted is his small yet sturdy cane that he uses more out of fun than necessity. Joe has learned how to fight with his cane with relative ease and agility and has been able to somehow modify his cane to do something quite useful.
Somehow, Joe is able to extend the freezing power of his hand to the white tip of his cane. The result is obvious: a deadlier Joe.

Side:Evil

Bio:
Joe has always been good at two things and two things only: freezing the hell out of stuff... and being creepy... on soo many levels. Joe started his little story exactly 74 years ago when he was born to a family of doctors. Needless to say, he seriously injured and eventually killed his mother when she gave birth to him because of his ‘gift’ and took on the hatred of his father and rest of his family. It’s not like he cared, though; Joe killed them all before his twentieth birthday.

Now, this rather tumultuous childhood led to serious... difficulties mentally.
Joe suffered irreparable mental trauma since birth through family trouble. To add into the fray, being naturally socially awkward, Joe developed a large group of imaginary friends since he had none of the real kind. His ‘friends’ all possessed a very dark sense of humor that some would rather call pure sadistic tendencies, but Joe loved it. More than that, he found them marvelously funny. In reality, these dark ‘comedians’ all whispered to Joe to use his ‘gift’ to kill, torture and rape. Joe finally did.

At the age of seventeen, he had accomplished his first TRK, as he would call them (Torture, rape and kill). The only evidence that could be traced to him was the fact that the victims normally were dead of frostbite and various cold-related afflictions and his loud, eerie, psychopath laughter that resembles that of a crazed clown only higher-pitched and screamy. Ever since his first kills and the many that have followed, Joe has been a notorious predator and has been miraculously able to stray from the clutches of the authorities.

Until this day, Joe is still the scourge of the weak and helpless. He has always wondered how another ‘special’ or ‘meta’-human like himself would feel like...

Dax's little....friends? Empty Mythology's Finest

Post by Dax Mon Aug 02, 2010 1:27 pm

God(dess):Khronos (a.k.a father Time)

Appearance: takes on many different appearances, but he does not care to fit in. he still dresses as he always has since the dawn of time… with some minor tweaks taken from across the ages
Dax's little....friends? Old_fa10

Current status among their fellow Gods: For the rare times the other gods have met him, they know chronos to be a calm, polite thinker and very calculated in his acts and words. After all, he has all of the time in the world. Therefore, the others gods that have met him have only the slightest respect for him, just as one would have the basic respect for a stranger. However, since he is the personification of time, he enjoys some sympathy. What else can they have for someone who impersonates and exuberates Time itself.

Extra Information: Chronos is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. He wanders the world, doing as he pleases and remotely overseas and watches the other gods and goddesses for fun and for the remote possibility if he needed to protect one from another.

Dax's little....friends? Empty The Mercury Strike

Post by Dax Wed Aug 04, 2010 9:01 pm

Name: Al ‘The Mech’ Patterson

Age: 64

City of origin: Horus

Bio: Born to parents he never met, Al’s first memory is him living on the streets. He was, however, one of the luckier ones. When he was about 7, a local, family-less mechanic found him and took pity on the poor kid, taking him on as his own. Immediately Al grew accustom to being around machines and working, fixing and using them. He had an astonishing talent with it to. By the time he was a teen, he would spend his whole day in his adoptive father’s garage, tinkering and bickering with a whole plethora of machines.

When the fog hit, Al’s father was called to help build the ships that were supposed to save humanity. Al, during his dads leave, took over the garage, furthering his knowledge of the machines even further. Eventually, by recommendation of his dad and through lack of workers, Al was called to also come and work on the building of the machines.
Over that time period, Al and his father worked on the Eden, Quetzalcoatl and Horus ships.

On the duos last project, Horus, Al and his father were one of the few humans left on the ground building the machines. Not only that, but the clock was working against them to finish construction. In the relative nervousness and confusion that was the building of the Horus, Al’s father succumbed to a machine accident, where a crane prematurely let go of its cargo, dropping it on the unsuspecting man. Al was devastated, but they were pressed to finish the job... and so he did.

Finally, hastily and shabbily built, Al took off in the Horus, opening his own, new garage, named in honor of his adoptive father. He worked like that, alone, in his garage for awhile. His workings and talent got him the nickname ‘The Mech’ from his customers and it stuck. Then one day everything changed. One day the news of the Apollo incident hit him. Now that hit him to the heart... for some reason. Al wasn’t really one to care about other people’s problems, but this thing was different. Al, for the first time in his life, wanted to do something about it.

It probably had to do with the boring life-style he had in his garage, mixed with the acceptance that he wasn’t getting any younger... and the generally-accepted pretext that he wanted to teach the Magistrate a lesson. But, he mostly decided to ‘do something about it’ just for the damn hell of it. I mean, why not, right?

So, Al ‘The Mech’ Patterson set off, selling his garage and joined up the first ship he saw: The Mercury Strike. Now this relatively aged man’s life was really going to begin.

Personality: Al has a very... odd personality. He is rather grotesque and knows nothing of manners or etiquette. He says what is on his mind and can be hot-tempered. However, if someone can, somehow, see past his unattractive demeanor, you can find in him a jolly-old companion who likes to sing some blues or folk songs from his ancestor’s home, New Orleans. He will also fiercely defend his friends with whom he is quite loyal to.

Specialty: engineer/mechanic/ pilot... he also really likes to use his shot-gun; ‘Betty’. Oh yah, he can also cook. Beware of that, though.
If it’s a machine, Al can use, fix or fly it.

Dax's little....friends? Empty Unused - Mercury Strike

Post by Dax Wed Aug 04, 2010 9:03 pm

Name: Draco Lars

Age: 42

City of origin:
Eden

Bio: Draco Lars was born to the ‘bourgeois’ family of the House of Lars. They were an influential, corrupt, wealthy and greedy family before the fog-opalypse... and bought their way into the city of Eden. The Lars family was, from the start, a friend of the General. In fact, the Lars family had, for the sake of tradition, always had a couple of its sons involved in the army. Draco was one of them.

At the age of 16, he left school and joined the military, being immediately recognized for his versatility and usefulness in and out of combat. He quickly climbed the ranks due to those abilities, a keen strategic mind, a powerful physical body... and his close family ties of the General. Soon, at the tender age of 33 and by far the youngest, he joined the General’s inner circle.

Draco was heavily taught and mentored by the general in diplomacy and military planning, as well as other military competencies. Draco excelled at all of them, thanks to his families military and upper-class genes. Yet this is about the time where Draco started being uncertain about his role with the General and his military.

During the military campaigns of the General, Draco was instrumental in many of the victories of the Magistrate. He planned, executed and oversaw many small-scale operations... before being trusted to be one of the main partners in the planning of the assault of Apollo. That is where things went downhill.

What Draco knew of the plan was another simple conquering of a city under a strong centralized power, that which Draco was superficially in agreement, but in deep conflict with his own self. More and more he thought that city-states were the better way to go... and Draco was even starting to question the Generals motives and mental state. Yet, Draco went ahead with the planning and organizing, oblivious to the Generals true intentions.

When the fateful day came, Draco, instead of staying back with the general, decided to personally oversee the capture of the biggest city. Everything was going according to plan. The invasion force had landed and his men had achieved air superiority. Then something strange started to happen: his men, without his order, had started to retreat... and then the unimaginable happened. His own troops, men he trusted and lived with, shot at the engines of the city, sending into the abyssal foggy depths, dooming not only the citizens onboard, but the Magistrates own soldiers!

In a fit of rage, Draco called the General immediately, yelling how senseless this action was. The General, somehow calm and unsurprised, told him how this had to be done and that there was no other way. Then Draco spoke his last words to the General, stating that he was to resign. In one final act of betrayal, the General demanded the troops on Draco’s ship, Draco’s’ own men, to kill him where he stands, ironically stating: “The new world order will not stand for impure traitors.”

His troops unable to kill him because of the bond Draco and his men had, simply gave him a shuttle for him to escape with, never to return. He eventually landed on Horus, where, at first chance and trying to give new purpose to his potentially dangerous capabilities, signed-up on a mercenary group, vowing to himself to restore order and take down the deranged General from his position to replace him with someone more suitable.

Personality:
Among his soldiers, he was known to generous and kind, on the battlefield he was known to show the same signs of compassions. He would rather keep someone as prisoner than kill everything on sight. In general, he was a calm, gentle, kind man. It was kind of conflicting that he was such a good soldier.

However, as he joined the Generals inner circle, he grew arrogant, cruel and, well, a dick. It would take a huge psychological to bring him back to his previous state of mind. The Apollo incident did just that.
Draco may be mostly the better self of the pre-influence, but his darker side comes back from time to time.

Specialty: Strategic planner/pilot/co-pilot/soldier/engineer/gunner
Draco is just one of those rare versatile men. In fact he knows how to fly many aircrafts, man a majority of guns... and most importantly knows how the Magistrate’s commanders think. Let’s just say he is most comfortable in the strategy room, but will go anywhere where needed.

Appearance:
Dax's little....friends? 403px-11
Forget the light-saber and replace it with a pistol.

Dax's little....friends? Empty Emoria

Post by Dax Wed Aug 04, 2010 9:09 pm

Dax's little....friends? Emoria11

Username: Dax

Character Name: Jean Poitiers

Species/Race: Sildari (parallel species to that of the human)

Physical Description:
Standing at 6’2, with dirty blond hair accompanied by deep brown eyes, Poitiers is a sight to see all unto himself.
He wears a white robe, representing his ties with his Church and has an eagle (Imperial Spanish Eagle) pet, named Carbo, to represent his ties with the Senate. Every senator has an eagle of different race, gifted to them by the Emperor himself.
(see portrait)

Character Bio: Born to an aristocratic Senator and a rather strict Priestess, Jean Poitiers was immediately spotted by the Sanctus Unus as gifted in the magical arts. He grew up as an exceptionnal student who never ‘strayed off the path’ too far… most of the time.
Quite frequently, Jean would be caught in a flaming argument or even a brawl with his fellow priests about the policies adopted by the Emperor, Caludius Fournier. Jean is a very devout admirer of Emperor Claudius, and will never shy away from vigourously defending him, his country or his Church from everyone and anyone.

After graduating the Prusse College, he went to work at the Temple of the Sanctus Unus. (see World-Space for more details on these structures) For 13 years, Jean worked diligently as his duties of a priest. This, of course, ranges from patrolling the city, humanitarian aid and performing ceremonies.

Jean would always be, in his free time, at the Grand Cathedral or at the Imperial Palace itself reading at the Sanctus and Imperial Library respectively. Being the mental sponge that he is, all of these books and his general exasperation of seeing his beloved country run by people that aren't, well, ‘him’ convinced him to pursue newborn passion of his… politics.
At the age of 35, Jean opted to become the elected member of the Senate. He won a staggering victory of about 70%, nearly unheard of for a first-term Senator.

Ever since then, Jean has won another term (Senators have a term of 4 years) with some 80% caster votes this time and holds office as member of the Senate all while still being an active priest of the Sanctus Unus. In fact, since Jean won a second term to the Senate, he was gifted an Imperial Eagle, as it is custom. Jean affectionately called him Carbo and the two are nearly inseperable.

Age: 42

Gender: Male

Occupation: Priest/ Senator

Skills: Fiery and driven, this man has little to no physical skills of mentionable valor. What he has, however, is a great and expansive mind.

He is as charismatic and smoothe talker as they come, although sometimes the perfect opposite and very arrogant, he is a natural scholar. He is, when not performing his duties as priest or elected Senator, in the library; reading anything he can get his hands on. Lively and quick-witted, his passion for the art of politics and his religion is boundless.
As a result of his ties to the Sanctus Unus and him being a priest, he wields all the power a regular priest would. (See Religion/Deity(s) )
However, with all of Jeans' free time either going to learning and reading, and considering that a priests power is proportionate to their knowledge on the Power that hey wirld and their own limits, this makes for Jean to be one of the most skilled priests of the Sanctus Unus.

World-Space: Vatienne (Va-tsee-ay-nay)
(for this description, think Italian valleys and plains)
Endless, lush and verdant hills and plains of green grass with Olive and Cypress trees litter the ground. In its natural state, the geography of the country is outstandingly beautiful and even in wild state the forests and plains seem tame. To the natives, it was heaven… and the perfect place for the foundation of Vatienne.

Vatienne is composed of many small towns and cities, each having the monopoly of a certain merchandise (for example one trades mainly cotton, while another wheat, etc.), which in turn favors internal commerce and the country is thus, evidently, self-sufficent.

Towards the end of the Vatiennien peninsuela, on the shores of the river of Vaer lies the City of Vatienne. This massive city lays upon the highest hill of the country, over-looking a good part, if not the entirety of the western-section of the country and you can even see the ocean from the very top of the Great Cathedral.

The city of Vatienne is divided into three quarters.
The Slums, the Middle district and the Center.

The Slums and the Middle district are quite self-explanatory, and there is nothing special there.

The Slums are, what you would expect, full of criminals, illegal and/or poor immigrants, the mentally and/or criminally insane and alot of city guards. Basically, most of the citizens there are not real citizens and just decided to settle down in 'The Big City'. The Slums are an unnatural addition to the essential jewel that is the city of Vatienne, built by those 'fake' citizens. The Middle district is where the real city starts. It is where the lower-middle and higher-middle citizens live and have their daily routine. It is the economic and demographic center and heart of the city.

However, the Center is something special. The city itself is in the form of a sort of circle. The Outer Walls (separate the outside from the Slums) are imperfect(in circular shape, is what I mean) and the Middle Barriers (the Slums from the Middle) are somewhat, well, crumbling. The Great Muraille is what seperates the Middle from the enter of the city. The Great Muraille is just a glorified wall, covered with marble on the side of the Center, and simple stone on the side of the Middle. The wall, however, is tall and imposing. (30 meters high)

Now, there is the massive Central Road going from the main gates all the way to the Great Cathedral, which houses the Papus. The Central Road is, what it name suggests, a massive road, home to thousands of merchants, that traverses the entire city.

Once in the Center, the Central Road is suddenly marbled and, since it cuts completely to the other side of the city, halves the city in two. Everywhere in the city, this is of little importance, but in the Center, its of core importance. One side is the Governments side and the other it’s the Papus’s side.

Something else that is to take note of in the Center of Vatienne is the Prusse College. The Prusse College is a giant building that is more of a giant observatory with a lot of big classrooms and meeting rooms more than anything else. It is the intellectual center of Vatienne and it is where Priests train and are brought up, not to mention all of the upper-class intellectuals of Vatienne.

The Temple of the Sanctus Unus is also housed in Vatienne. Contrary to Vatiennien culture and customs, the temple is not some giant landmark, but more of a place of piety. It is where all of the priests are buried (The Papus’ being buried in the Grand Catehdral itself).
The temple is a large rectangle with a porch on every side, decorated with simple, whit columns. On the inside, it is just one large room with a plain white floor and the walls are equally plain. The only thing in the room is a pond in the middle of it all, with a fist sized golden globe floating in mid air.

Another area of the city that shows the ties of Vatienne with the Thendári. It is an entire section of the city devoted to the elves. The sector, called The Garden by the Vatienniens, was a gift to the elves in the sign of friendship between the two nations of ‘light’.
The Garden is simply littered with trees and elven gazebos and architectural marvels, built by some voluntary elven pilgrims. Dominating the little green circle of Vatienne is an elven castle that renders great homage to the pinnacle of elven architecture and is an important headquarters for the Paladins of the Thendári.

Towering over The Garden, however, is the Imperial palace and the Great Cathedral in the very heart of the city (the Great Cathedral being similar in shape St Peters Basilica… only larger and completely covered in white marble with a golden dome). A garden seperates the two. There lies a small whit white marble Gazebo, with carvings of Imperial Vatienne and Religious Vatienne, simulating the harmony between the two governing powers. The gazebo is also where the Emperor and the Papus have their official and … ‘unofficial’ meetings. Religious and Governmental buildings litter their respective sides.

Allies: -Aendrel
-Thendári
Friendly:
-Ionairus
Hostile:
I'nak
Enemies:
-Mountains of Night
-Matriarchal Sorceresses of the Marshes

Religion/Deity(s): Religion of the Sanctus Unus, He who created everything. This is a religious state.
The Holy Lord is the one true God.
This god, or the High One, resides, according to legend in the Spirit Plane. There is debate among scholars that are his followers, pondering on whether the High One s, in fact, a conscience being, or something bigger than that.

The only men and women that are elgible to serve in the Sanctus Unus and become priest and, hopefully and eventually, Papus, are the ones that are born with innate magical abilities within them. These children are taken away from their families and trained to morph their natural magical ability, deemed evil and heretical by the Papus, into that of light, worthy of the Sanctus Unus.

As of result, all magic-wielders of non-light proficiency are deemed heretics and are, for the most part, trialed and executed as heretics.
However, since every priest of the Sanctus Unus has received training in the magical field, the priests are, after the regular Imperial Army, a main peace-keeping force.

Governing body: OK, here it goes;
Vatienne is a Republic but with a Head of State, the Papus, and the Head of Government, the Emperor.

Head of State:
The Papus is elected for life by the people of Vatienne. He is the spiritual and cultural leader of the country. He is the supreme ruler of the country, if you want a very simplified explanation. (See ‘Head of State’ in wikipedia)
The papus is the Supreme Leader of the church of Sanctus Unus, and he is, by consequence, the most powerful priest alive.
Papus Gregoire IX is currently in power, he is 84 of age.

Head of Gouvernment:
The Emperor is very much like a Prime Minister, and hence has a Parliamentary style of Government. Elections, normally, are held every 5 years. He is the leader of the government, as says the title. (See ‘Head of Government’ or ‘Prime Minister’ in wikipedia)
Emperor Claudius Fournier is currently in office, he is 76 of age.

To clear this up, the two men are only at the same place at the same time on meetings, or else its either the Papus or the Emperor who takes care of the matter.

Dax's little....friends? Empty Gelbaron

Post by Dax Wed Aug 11, 2010 6:25 pm

Username: Dax

Character Name: Galen Darkblade

Age: 242

Race: Dark Elf

Magic: Dark Elemental Magic

Appearance: Standing at 6’1, Galen is of normal height for his race. He is rather slim, weighing at 155 pounds making him quite agile and fast. His hair is snow white and drops to about 5 inches below his shoulders; they are always tied in a neat pony-tail. His eyes are mainly purple, although they tend to change color when he uses magic for some apparent reason. Galen always carries without exception a smooth staff made of black wood with a fist-sized, un-cut ruby somehow pounded into place, keeping it from moving. He has a small dagger sheathed on his left hip, but that is mainly used for domestic purposes (i.e. skinning, crafting, etc.). Galen wears very simple brown, leather sandals that maximize his movement all while being comfortable. In between the staff and the sandals, there is the robe. It is dark silver on its body and black on borders and edges. There is some writing in a luminescent dark blue written over the black edges, simply saying who fabricated it, for who it was intended, what is was made for, etc. The writing is sowed in Dark Elven hieroglyphs and symbols.

Personality: (I tend to develop a lot in RPs and it may change depending on the character of the other player’s characters, in which case I might edit or just say to disregard this part altogether)
Galen, contrary to his race’s normal behavior, is abnormally out-going, friendly and sociable. Instead of being included in his society because of his open-mindedness as such child would be in a human scenario, he was cast aside because he was different. He never faltered from his original personality, though, and still holds a very sociable complexion. He is very opinionated, likes to play with words and/or likes to just plain-out charm people. However, he does have a darker side.

In some dark moods, he becomes a cruel, disgusting beast. He seems to fall into a frenzy and sees all red, if you will. He knows no mercy and can be known to kill innocents if they do not comply with him when he is in this dark mood. Some say his studies in Dark Elemental Magic has caused this, others say that it was impossible for a Dark Elf to be this nice, hence the innate evil nature of his race had to come out somewhere.

Traits (Fill in the two sections below)
Strengths
    [smooth talker]
    [powerful summoner]
    [rather intelligent]
    [high mental/intellectual endurance]

Weaknesses
    [horrible at close combat]
    [slightly clumsy]
    [low physical endurance]
    [weak enchanter]
[weak magic defenses (unless his summoned creature or his staff take the blow instead)]

Equipment:

-Utility Knife (for domestic needs, explained in appearance)

-Staff

-Personal medical herbs

-Ruby ring (Silver body with a smooth ruby incrusted in the middle. It is purely for decoration and is from his late master.)

Bio: Galen Darkblade was born to the most ordinary of ordinary families there are in a Dark Elf community living deep in the Jaeltreg woods on the continent of Aureanus. His father was a smith, had a stay-home mother and he had two sisters and a brother, all older than him. Immediately after Galen’s birth, his parents realized he wasn’t like the other children or even his own siblings. The child smiled incessantly, never cried and was not a pain to have at all. That, in the Dark Elf community, is very rare, very rare indeed. Because of this ‘condition’, Galen had barely any friends (oddly enough) and was shunned by even his own brothers and sisters. Galen’s parents and the community thought that it was best to isolate this ‘different’ child, thinking that him being alone with himself will come to realize that his general up-beat nature is generally unpleasant and will come to hate himself, thus changing his character. It failed miserably.

Eventually, somewhere in the teen stage of Galen’s life, he was fed up with his people. Instead of the isolation making him hate his own character it just made him loathe his people for such barbaric acts committed to one of their own. He decided to run away with nothing more than a few small pies, a knife that he still holds today and the clothes on his back. He ran away to the Aureanus port, living as a stealer and a beggar. At first he was impossibly thin and sickly, but as the years went by, he eventually got the hang of being light on his feet and being able to feed himself. He was, however, never to become great at this life-style because of his general physical clumsiness. It wasn’t easy, but it looked like there was a light at the end of the tunnel.

Then ‘he’ showed up. In one of Galen’s low-tier regular burglaries, Galen was proceeding to take the scraps of meat and vegetables from a house where the occupants were soundly sleeping. Then, out of nowhere, it happened. A shadowy figure in a dark silver robe with black edges and borders, coupled with strange, glowing symbols all while holding a black staff incrusted with a ruby, had appeared before him. He had done so with no sound and looked as if he had been there the whole time. Indeed, he had manipulated the shadows into hiding his person, only revealing himself when deemed necessary. The man stood before Galen, who was speechless. The dark man, as he introduced himself, was the only Elemental mage in the city-port. His specialty: the Dark Elements. As it turned out, the man had been watching Galen for awhile and pondered over when was the good time to come forth. Apparently, the middle of a robbery was a good time. Anyway, the man finally asked him if he wanted to learn the ways of the Dark elements, for he was ageing and was desperate for someone to pass on his knowledge. Apparently, there aren’t many willing souls in this washed-out port. Galen, having no idea what he was getting himself into, accepted out of curiosity.

Many years passed and after countless lessons, practices and summons, Galen was finally ready. He became a Dark Elementalist. Unfortunately, soon after Galen’s ‘graduation’, his master and father-figure passed away, relinquishing all of his worldly possessions to him; his student. This way, Galen inherited all of his master’s items and tools; he even got the small, run-down house near the port district, which suited Galen’s needs exquisitely. Galen has been living in that house for over 200 years (still a young adult by Dark elven standards) and longs for the time he can visit his deserted people. Only time will tell. For now, the Dark Elementalist lives alone.

Dax's little....friends? Empty Immortal VIndication

Post by Dax Wed Aug 11, 2010 6:29 pm

Name: Mortenai Denary

Age:
500

Family: Long dead. After Morty’s transformation, he ran his county for awhile, but later fled after accusations of vampirism.

Race: Elder Vampire

Appearance: Dax's little....friends? Anthon10

Bio:
In 1710, a boy named Mortenai Denary was born to the Duke of Somerset, an aristocrat from a small county in north-western England near Wales. He was raised as any aristocrat would; manners matter. He lived his life quietly, being the fifth child, hence not eligible for the title and power that his family had to offer. This, however, was not what he wanted. He did not want to live a life of quiet subordination. He wanted that title and power badly and he was determined to get it.

One day, while strolling in the counties village, he fell upon a dark alley way where a mysterious man stood. The man promised him eternal life and power if only Morty could get closer to him and accept his ‘gift’. This immediately sent out bells and whistles in the head of the young man, but his curiosity got the better of him. He finally got closer to the mysterious man; the man then whispered something Morty would never forget: “So young and reckless, you will make a fine specimen. With this power, you will be able Duke, then onwards to become King of England, perhaps eventually of the British Isles and then the entirety of Europe!” This created an immense amount of excitement in Morty’s heart which led to his full confidence in the mysterious man. It did not take long for the deed to be done.

Needless to say, Mortenai used his power cruelly and discreetly. He reigned many years over his county until allegations of vampirism made him flee to escape capture by the notorious Inquisition. He then chose to move to one place where he would never be found: the thirteen colonies. Or so he hoped.

In the thirteen colonies he had an ample amount of freedom to feed at will, all while maintaining the facet of an aristocrat to keep sceptics at bay. There was plenty of game and there was no centralized police force to track him down or connect the dots. It was heaven on earth.

The years passed and Morty moved from one city to another, finally reaching Arizona where the general lawlessness and ability to pass off discarded food as just another murder kept him there indefinitely. It was then that the entire notion of war on the creatures of Night started. It was there that he let many vampires stay at his spacious town house and use it as an HQ. It was then that he finally learnt that there were others like him. And that felt good... Somewhat.

Personality: Mortenai can be very polite, convincing and charming, as he can be creepy and sadistic. He can be disconcertingly cold and distant. Hundreds of years of running and self-concealment can do that to someone. He is one of the better-mannered people left in this fast degenerating world. In fact, Mortenai has the easiest recognizable traits available to vampires in this uncouth world. That is traits of exquisite literacy, articulation and mannerism. He is strongly opinionated and lets the other vampires know of his stance and is usually heard because of his age, if anything else. He fervently urges that vampires set aside, permanently, hostilities with the lycans, form an alliance to achieve the ability to live together and destroy these menace of the Night Stalkers.

Dax's little....friends? Empty Re: Dax's little....friends?

Post by Dax Sun Aug 15, 2010 8:28 pm

Name: Roland D’Aiur

Country: Cavembar

Age: 26

Gender:
Male

Physique:

Dax's little....friends? Mage_b10

Biography/traits: Born to a long line of Light Justicars in Cavembar, he got a a head-start in almost everything. It must be noted that Rolands father was killed only days before Roland was born by a Warlord of Shadow from Vermetia.
Since his family has been in service of the Cavembar kings for the longest time, the first sons are automatically admitted into the ranks of the Lights Justicars (the other sons/daughters must prove themselves before being able to join).
Another thing is that, with such a long line of proud warriors of the Greater Good, they have what is called a family dragon. He is Hacom, the Silver Dragon.
Hacom has been in the D’Aiur family since his discovery and birth some 2000 years ago.
Hacom has played the role of mentor and godfather for all of the first sons of the D’Aiur families and it is now Rolands turn to be taken under Hacoms’ wing… literally.

Now, Roland, being a first son, was one of the boys that was automatically admitted into the Lights Justicars at birth. Being admitted at birth, however, without any test of skill can prove dangerous for the Order and can sometimes be fatal for the untalented sons.
In a way, this was Rolands case.
The Order is that of Knights: Sword and Axe masters, not spellslingers and Roland was born an exceptionally gifted wizard and an extremely weak sword-player.
However, once in the Order, always in the Order. Not to mention Hacom had already bonded with Roland, and a dragons bond is for life ( the mortals life mostly since dragons live for an exremely long time).
Prey for insults and laughter of the other children, and later, men of the Order, Roland had friends, but Hacom and the King, a wizard himself who had wantd to intstate a magical branch for the Order since his coronation, to aid and encourage him.
After many hard years, Roland became a full-fledged Justicar. He had blossomed into a mighty wizard, and executed his tasks impeccably. In fact, because of his great success (and his closeness to the King), Roland quickly ran up the Orders hierarchy.
No one was laughing now.
This rising stars succes was such that Roland, with the Kings directory and help, is well on the way to make the fabled branch of wizardry for the Order.
Roland now works to make this dream, of himself and the King, a reality but still serves the regular Order until further notice.

Skills :
Roland dislikes fighting on his own feet and rather prefers staying comfortably seated on Hacom while the beast flies in endless circles around the enemy, giving the chance for Roland to unleash fearsome spells.
However, it must be noted that only because Roland dislikes fighting on the ground, is not because he isnt capable of fighting on ground with his spells, quite on the contrary actually. He is very talented when it comes to schools of magic. The reason for his dislike of terran fighting is that Roland is excessively horrible at melee engagement.
If an enemy were to get close to Roland and was somehow able to stop him from fleeing, all Roland would have to save himself would be his double-wands to try and defend himself while Hacom comes to his rescue.

Gear :
-Lights Justicars Regalia (back and brown cloth and leather, with golden outlinings)
-Double pick-axe-like wands
-Oak staff with encrusted orange topaz on top(always carried on back, main weapon are the double wands)
_______

Dragon (species) :
Silver Dragon

Name : Hacom

Height: 22 feet

Maximum Wingspan: 150 feet

Breath weapon:
Cone of Cold, Paralyzation Gas

Habitat: High Mountains (the colder the better)

Diet: Almost anything; love tasting new things

Physique:

Dax's little....friends? Silver10

Traits:
Hacom is more Rolands’ best friend that mount. They spend the better time of the day, if not all of it, together. Hacom is, unlike Roland, calm, thought-out and prefers to think things through before running into something.
In fact, Hacom can usually be seen lecturing Roland… and even acting like a father figure!
Afterall, Hacom is the D’Aiurs family dragon.

Name: Ikeisselgehoran, Spirit of Constantinople (a.k.a. Ike)

Gender: Male

Age: 536

Race: Dwindling Fire Spirit/Elemental

Appearance:
Spoiler:

Spoiler:

Personality: Because of his imprisonment and enslavement by the underground shamans of Constantinople, he hates humans. His hate for them is what is anchoring him to this earth. He is, however, in light of recent events, starting to cool down. He is reconsidering, slightly, his view on the human population. He is slowly making the transition from introverted hate harmful fire, to a wise, kind and gentle subsistence fire.

Powers:
Uses parts of his body and extends as whip/sword/weapon. That’s it. His power, since he is slowly but surely losing his imprint on this world’s reality, is starting to dwindle.

Ike was able, through his years of wandering aimlesly, lighting up everything on fire, how to qualm the flames of his body. The result left him with a corproreal body, that he was able to morph into one being, and only one. The man who made him suffer soo much. The High Shaman that summoned Ike in Constantinople in the first place.
(Look in appearance)

Bio: In the era of the Byzantine Empire, there was a small sect of shamans who resisted Christianity. To overthrow the Emperor and instate their pagan religion, they summoned a spirit from the plane of fire. They called him Ikeisselgehoran, Spirit of Constantinople. Once summoned, however, the Spirit was too weak to use its strength; it had not found an anchor. The only way to keep such an ethereal being to earth was to give it a personal meaning. So they did.

They treated it with such miscontempt and intentional hatred (they posed as the orthodox scholars), that a once kind fire of warmth began to burn as a destructive blaze. However, over the hundred years that it took to properly anchor the Ike, too few shamans were left and their limited numbers (there was only 1 left) made the entire plan a doomed one. Once the spirit was ready to begin its rampage, it found only that the city had been conquered by Islamists, not those he was taught to hate. Since that fateful day, Ike has been wandering the world, searching for a purpose. Finally he found one; with L.O.R.E.

L.O.R.E has wanted to take away the evil anchor that Ike has had on earth for many years. All of their plans failed, yet increased in urgency. They had to constantly find things to do for Ike or else he would accidentally start forest fires in the dry Californian climate. Finally, with the recent kidnappings, the perfect way to get rid of Ike had presented itself.

Why was your character chosen as a champion:
Ikeisselgehoran was summoned by L.O.R.E because of his strength (while it lasts) and his wisdom (while it increases). It is also a good way to keep him busy for the remainder of his earthly existence. That is the official reason. The real reason is that L.O.R.E knows that Ike is an unnatural creation and must be erased peacefully.[b]

Dax's little....friends? Empty Re: Dax's little....friends?

Post by Dax Sat Sep 03, 2011 8:06 pm

Name: Darth Jaraxix

Age: 56

Sex: Male

Affiliation (Republic, Empire, Earth, etc.): Empire

Class: Sith Lord (Warrior)

Physical Appearance:
Dax's little....friends? Images11

Personality: Darth Jaraxix is a calm and calculating warrior. He is remarkably in control of himself for a Sith Lord, which has occasionally attracted the ire of other Sith. However, thanks to this control, Jaraxix is able to keep the haze of hatred and confusion of rage to clout his judgment, which makes him an excellent planner and tactician. Sometimes there comes a time when he cannot contain his anger, in which case he loses notion of what he does and fights and thinks uncoordinatedly and wildly. He is also a firm supporter of the Dark Council, the governing body of the Sith Order, and the Empire. He lives and breathes loyalty to those two factions.

Skills/weaknesses/weapons: Jaraxix is a master swordsman, and is proficient in the Force (he uses a lone dark red sword most of the time, but when he starts a duel or serious combat, Jaraxix has a second, dark purple lightsaber). However, he is no Sith Sorcerer. He has always valued pure training and lightsaber skill over Force usage over the course of his life. He has trained and used his lightsabers all of his life and he has preferred to fix problems with the dark hue of his blade than with the mystic Force.

However, he has been fighting for the Empire and the Dark Council for a very long time. He is now 56 and his age is starting to catch up with him. Although he fights as he would 20 years ago thanks to his basic skills with the Force, he is starting to think differently that the new generation of Sith that are starting to ‘graduate’ from their Lords. It seems that these newer Sith are more irrational and violent then they used to be. As unfortunate as it is, both Jaraxix’s mind and his sword play style are starting to get outdated.

Bio (don’t be too long here): Jaraxix was born on Dromund Kaas and abandoned at a very young age, never knowing love, friends or family. He lived on the streets all of his very young life and learnt quickly to be mentally quick and physically agile. For many years he played ‘hide-and-go-seek’ with the Empire’s authorities who tried to capture him and force him into the military since Jaraxix was a force sensitive child. However, the future Sith Lord could only run for so long. He was eventually snatched by Imperial Agents and put into the personal hands of the Dark Council where Jaraxix emerged as a completely loyal, powerful Sith Lord.

In later years, through his personal ideals of rigorous training and loyalty to the Empire, Jaraxix has been trying to find the strongest and most capable apprentice he can find to replace him and serve the Empire to the best of his or her abilities in the eventuality he dies in combat. To get to that objective, Jaraxix has gone through many, many apprentices, getting most of them killed because the assignments he sent them on were too hard or too dangerous. To the Sith Lord, his fallen apprentices were weak, pitiful insects who had never deserved to serve the Empire.

Other than that, Jaraxix has been serving the Empire and the Dark Council for 40 years and has been carrying out their orders with absolute and complete efficiency and competency. Now, as a supremely important task for the Empire and the Sith Order as a whole appears, which is the annexation of the Earth and its Humans, Jaraxix has been sent to Earth to offer sporadic help where needed to various Command Centers, offer help in coordination and planning and, possibly most importantly, coordinate the extermination of the Jedi who had been detected planet side.

Other (if I forgot something): Due to Darth Jaraxix's tendency to go through apprentices fairly quickly due to his strive for the most powerful potential Sith Lord out there, his name is 'legenday', or at least fabled, amongst the young Sith Lords who aspire greatness and who try to impress the Dark Council for a master.

This 'status' sometimes even encompasses other mature Sith lords (although younger in age) who grew up listening to tales of Darth Jaraxix and his many, many deceased apprentices.

Dax's little....friends? Empty Re: Dax's little....friends?

Post by Dax Sat Sep 03, 2011 8:14 pm

Name: Sofeas

Age: 797

Gender: Male

Race: Iskandaran

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Appearance: Height: 6'5
Dax's little....friends? 8685711

Personality: Sofeas has a very reserved, calm personality. He seldom gets angry or gives in to his emotions. In fact, so rarely does he ever let his emotions slip, he is thought to not even possess them. These attributes serve Sofeas well, as one cannot be corrupted by his own emotions on his quest for self gain and power.

History: Sofeas was born in a small tribe on his home world of Iskandar, a planet situated on the fringes of the universe. There was only one sun with hundreds of thousands of AU (Astronomical Units) of his world, except the light from that sun was blocked from a gas giant that Iskandar gravitated around. Thus, the only light that ever shone on that planet was the light from the 7 neighboring moons of the gas giant. Thanks to limited light, its odd population of purple humanoids, the Iskandarians, found another way to get their ‘natural’ energy from. That energy came from the ‘Void’, or Space as others may call it. However, the wizards of Iskandar who call upon the Void uses its magic make the fabric of reality on their planet very thin, commonly giving way to rifts that let enter horrific beasts and encroaching, nightmarish vegetation spread and destroy.

At a young age, those who are born on the planet of Iskandar learn how to be one with the Void, how to use it and how, most importantly, to defend oneself with it. As by such, Sofeas was very talented in harnessing the Void. In fact, he was so talented he was able to beat every other Iskandaran of his age in duels very easily.

By the age of 33, still an infant by Iskandaran standards, Sofeas’ family was killed by marauding beasts that traversed the rift created by his race’s wizards. In anger, he did not only slaughter the beasts from the rift, but also the wizards who created the rifts. In horror, the rest of his tribe tried to stop him: to no avail. Sofeas slaughtered them all.

Sofeas spent the next 400 years going tribe to tribe, either instilling fear by random killings or demanding ‘protection’ payments. It was during this time that Sofeas forged his unique and terrifying set of armor and robes that complimented his dark personality and attunement to the Void.

After those 400 years, the tribes of Iskandar banded together to root Sofeas out and kill him. Many attempts were made, and many failed, however Sofeas could not withstand so many numbers. Thus, in a move of desperation, he fled to the site of his old tribe ad gathered all of the artifacts of magic and hastily began a ritual to open up a rift to the Void, the very thing he killed his own tribe for. The tribal soldiers of the other tribes, however, came just in time to stop the lengthy ritual of void opening and captured Sofeas.

Upon his capture, many Iskandarans were both terrified and teemed with hatred towards Sofeas. Thus, they imprisoned him, alone, beneath the farthest reaches of the darkest cave, to be tortured by the evil of his deeds for 215 years. However, solitary confinement did nothing to dampen Sofeas’ dark spirit. Instead he fumed with rage, not regret. He plotted his escape, and hoped to get his hands on something, anything, to kill to vent his anger on.

As fate would have it, Sofeas had finally finished planning his escape from prison after those two centuries of solitary confinement and readied himself to destroy and then subdue his race, becoming King of Iskandars... however before his plan could be put into execution, he was pulled through the rift.

Powers:
-Void Bolt = Bolt from the void that is shot from his void blade
-Dark pulse = wave of dark energy created by agitating his Void blade savagely that pushes back its target
-Rift jump = Can teleport short distances using his ties to the void

Equipment:
-Void Blade

- The Void

Weakness: Sofeas has armor, but it is not designed to withstand more than a couple hits. He is very vulnerable to strikes, which is why he chooses his battles very cautiously and wisely. He is also vulnerable to light magic of any kind. If Sofeas sees a light wielder, he will either flee or try to not cross paths with him unless necessary.

Country: Canada

Name: Jean Fournier

Sex: Male

Age: 52

Party/political alignment: Liberal Party of Canada

Phys. Appear.: Dax's little....friends? Haider10

Alma Matter(University/schooling degree): Concordia University-Law

Brief Bio (just an extra touch and optional): After graduating from Concordia University in Montreal, Jean immediately joined the Liberal Party of Canada. One thing led to another and he became an MP in the House of Commons. Soon after, because of his usually convincing and passionate speaking, he became Minister of Foreign and International Affairs under the 2013 Liberal minority government of Michael Ignatieff.

However, due to a vote of no confidence in the House of Commons and in the party, Mr. Ignatieff was cast down as Prime Minister and leader of the leader of the Party. This led to a massive destabilization of the governmental hierarchy. Jean won the election to the head of the Liberal Party with his charisma alone and then won the national election by using his track record as Minister of Foreign Affairs as good precedent (and the fact that the Conservative party of Canada was caught off-guard certainly helped, also the New Democratic Party recolted only slightly lower than what the LPC got, they are now asking for a fusing of the parties), placing him as regent Prime Minister of Canada. He runs a minority government.

From there, he spent 30 years as sometimes an MP, sometimes a Minister (including Minister of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Northern Affairs, Defense and Transportation).

However, during this time he also pursued other interests such as archeology and astronomy. Because of this, he also had very close ties with the Canadian Space Agency and was a strong supporter of it and its projects. As the time of earth started to wear out its resources and plans were made for a massive emigration, William spearheaded Canada’s position in pushing for greater integration of the world’s space agencies and making the ship itself more accessible to lower income families.

In return for his support of the CSA, NASA and the UN (and other brown envelopes >.>) William was given an early ticket off Earth…
