Maximum Ride

Thats right people, you heard me right. Maximum. Ride.
One of THE best book series EVER!!!! And don't worry, if you haven't read them, I'll explain my rp idea.

The books are about six kids, who were genetically mutated, mostly in the womb. They have fully functional wings, and weigh maybe 90 pounds at the height of 5 foot eight, at 14 1/2 years old. Along with these genetic mutations, are powers. Some of these are classical ones, such as reading minds, and the ability to implant ideas into others minds. And some are wacky, such as able to sense things by being around them, like being able to tell who works at cubicle three, just by sitting in the chair.
Now, the whole idea, is we play these bird kids. And we've escaped from the labs, which are called "The school." In, the School, we (the bird kids) were created, and grew up, having been forced to train, every day, for hours on end, in horribly mean exercises.
98 % of any genetically mutated people don't make it, dieing in terrible and painful ways, mostly through their genetic make ups failing. There are only two types with a high survival rate. Avian-Humans, and Erasers. Erasers were made as guards and soldiers for the School, and hunt down run aways. They are wolf human mixtures. They have their normal human form, but can transform. When they do, they get furry, more muscle, larger clawed hands, and fanged snouts. Luckily, Erasers, as well as a few other surviving hybrids, have expiration dates. I know what your thinking, wow thats sick. Yea. The scientists, are sick, and if you think thats bad, just wait.
Erasers are mutated in the womb (Or test tube) as well. They only last seven to ten years, and mature in about three, I do believe. Thats right, children with the bodies of adults, and forced to hunt, to hurt, to kill. It is even possible, that Avian-Human's have expiration dates.

Now, the story line itself can be created as we go along, or after we get some people. We would start without knowing much, about what the school wants to do with us, about other hybrids, expiration dates, ect. Any takers? For those of you who have read the books, no using the actual characters, and try not to ruin the books, I'm only on the fourth one .

O.O *jumps up and down and waves frantically* Me! Me! Pick me! I just finished the fifth book today, and I swear, those books are ADDICTIVE! I would be totally down for playing a bird-kid (and come on, who wouldn't?)!

I believe EverMan said we would be using original characters so as not to spoil the plot of the books.

Yes, we would be making our own characters.

Everyone that's a part of this, should be a part of the flock, which is the family of avian-humans. I don't have a template for your characters, but as long as you include the important stuff, thats fine.
Make sure to include their powers (if they have any) and if you don't know what powers to pick, and already have your character done, you can have your character develop their power over time.

If we're going to proceed with character creation, it would be best if you made an OOC thread. That way we can carry on any other OOC conversations there and you can tell us more about the plot for this RP (or collaborate with you, if you so desire).

I'd rather have my power randomly handed to my by the GM instead of having a convenient power develop just as I need it.

I know nothing about the series, but this role-play is tantalizing me for many obvious reasons.
