Algorunda •• Meaning "Coldwater" in the native tongue, this metropolis represents a combination of all major cities with no magical reference. At all. The towering skyscrapers and lofts house among the wealthiest and famous. Whenever one thinks of modern pop culture, it is Algorunda that they refer to. Essential, but not well-developed yet; it is up to the role-players to sketch in the details and invent destinations there, which in means of transportation is cab, bus, and tram. There is also an airport terminal, a bank, and court. Ranks higher in jurisdiction. Stretches to the mountainous SILVER DUNES in the East and to the shiny WEIS SEA in the Southwest, busy with sleepless yellow nights.

Piana •• South of Algorunda, this small but popular town is the main setting of our tale. It was built during a Bohemian revolution, the refuge of summer, and as artists, musicians, the weather, and the antique, quaint architecture draw tourists all year, their reputation as a beautiful, close-knit family outshines even Algorunda in a raving review. Acting as a magnet and drawing peculiar people together, Piana also attracts biologists and explorers that always find new, exotic living organisms in the wild surrounding it. Piana is a town interested in aesthetics, music, goth, and architecture that nurtures its flourishing gardens and wilderness as well renovates its historical landmarks and keeps the streets clean. Hundreds of rooms and narrow alleys rich with flavor always lead to somewhere or somebody here. It tends to be misty and summery almost all year, except for dry spells during harvest season which they celebrate the Nuell holiday that marks the colonization of Piana.

Only one road leads into Piana, S. HARCOURT AVENUE, and only one road leads out, N. HARCOURT AVENUE, as both meets in Piana is the heart- HARCOURT CIRCLE. On S. Harcourt Ave and SHANROE STREET is Mickey’s, the replica of fast-food chain, McDonald’s. On N. Harcourt Ave and EDISON ST. is Pump-N-Go, a gas station.

South Harcourt has a cozy Coffee Shop with an enormous, dusty Library in the back, known as Terra Pages across the Laundromat and the Post Office.

On North Harcourt is The Algorunda School for Music and the Arts, which graces Piana eternal melody, and the Terminal where people purchases bus and ferry fares.

In Harcourt Circle is the Gym-slash-Recreation Center, the all-Organic Food shop, the Antiques-slash-Pawn Shop the tiny but decorative Park that levels down to Candle Bay, the famous tourist-attracting beach with a large, wild Bar-slash-Family Restaurant with your favorite band, Scissortape, at Zodiac Shack.

MID-HEAVEN •• Just as vast as the Universe we thought we knew, it can apply to any wild dream conceived in the human mind. We visit when we sleep, and we retire when we die until fate determines otherwise. We can communicate with the deceased and the unborn and other dreamers, and commit to unspoken magic more freely here. Though, there is the VEIL, a dark, symbolic gateway between the Universe and Mid-Heaven, a little intimidating but completely harmless.

ASTRAL PLANE •• The rare lens of Piana, rich of hidden magical secrets and even more secrets that its non-magical natives lie about to keep buried from curious eyes. Often, lost souls stray here, haunting their resting places until they are christened. The christened return their favor to sorcerers and saints by leaving behind mystical runes.


Algorunda speaks a wide variety of languages including: English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and African. Especially here springs the watered-down slangs of surfers of both the waves and the Internet.

THE SUN LODGE is located on the beach in Candle Bay west of the docks and Zodiac Shack. Due to their sheer size, elegance, and the stunning view, the 8 Homes, classified from 100 - 800, sport a hefty price. Their room rates are the same, $400, on the 25th day. Two-story, four bedrooms, and two bathrooms with a back patio. Each room is big enough for two, but the landlord is a bit firm on four roommates, so no dividing rent here. This is a dream for residents of Piana that can come true with hard work and saving up.
Please name the roommate if you choose to move in the same apartment or dorm room, but first ask them if it is okay. Guests shouldn't worry about this part until later when they actually do have friends to stay over. If you already have a resident's permission, develop history with the person(s) to have a consistent story.

NOTE: My characters will act as guides for your characters around Piana and in studies of magic. Don't hesitate to ask me questions through them. I am also master of time! I will announce which chapter and when it is Dawn, Midday, and Dusk. The routines are up to you, but your character is presently without a job so that could be one goal. A sufficient post should include the character's awareness of the time of the day and where they are and what they are supposed to do, as well as a good transition between scenes. It should include what the character does at work, errands the character introduces or completes, and plans because some places aren't open in the morning or at night. It should include your character's choices with their secrets and in relationship with other people, and more depth to Piana and its magic. Think of this as a television show-- every post can cycle from being comical to dramatic or any themes you have in mind for your character.

Baanova aka "Sparky" An electric-manifesting creature on the Earth plane but a Lightning God on the Mid-Heaven plane. Can be used to generate energy, fix faulty wires, create or banish thunderstorms, and so on. In return, the summoner must play Hide and Seek or else the deal is nullified.

Origins: Lin will have come from very humble roots, a very tightly-knit community who especially participates together in the raising and education of all of the children. Once they are old enough to support themselves they are expected to do the same within that same community as long as they are living there. Lin unfortunately will have lost both of her parents at a young age and will have been raised by more than one family.

Appearance: Both of Lin's parents were Chinese so her features will be typical of Asian ethnicity. She is slender but she is slightly taller than most her age and background. Some disadvantages to this are her lack of muscle mass which she compensates for in agility.

Natal Chart: February 1st, 1980 (Year of the Sheep) Sheep (Goats) are regarded by Chinese astrologers as having a strong essence of "Yin", therefore the most feminine of the animal signs. The are typically elegant, charming, artistic, and fond of natural items. Sheep personalities often find expression in craftsmanship rather than originality. They are very conservative and often leave their creative sides unexplored when it comes to career advancements. Sheep are insecure and need to feel loved and needed. Natural Ability: I'd have to say that this is the most difficult. Dream-Traveling would allow her to come up with these amazing theories, believe that she has every capability of proving them and be the first to use them on herself, on the other hand... she would hope that her ability to influence others would increase her chances of success professionally and romantically.

The Aries Sun/Taurus Moon combination produces individuals who show that forcefulness can be combined with sufficient tact for a person to do pretty much as he or she pleases...and get away with it.
