You almost got it right, Kalon! (I'm rather impressed actually. It took me forever to work out pronounciations.)

You're pronouncing Zahiik correctly, but Tusohe is pronounced Too-SO-hey. (I know it probably doesn't make sense outside my head, but that's how it's pronounced.)

Wow, I was WAYY off for Obsuracce's pronounciation.

As for the pronunciation of my character's name...

Sailahína Carnil is actually:

sigh-lah-HEE-nah CAR-nill ((with a trilled r))

However, Saila is SIGH-lah.

In Quenya, the "ai" combo makes the "i" sound like in "aisle."
A's without accent marks are pronounced softly as the "a" in "father."
I's with accent marks ((í)) are always long like "ee."
Without the accent mark, they're short like in "it."
R's are always trilled like they are in Spanish, Russian, and Scottish English but not like in French.

In words that only contain two syllables, the stress always falls on the first syllable.

Oh that's right! I should have known to follow Quenya pronunciation rules! xD

Naomi of Tratant is pronounced 'NOWmee of TRATunt'
Some pronounce it 'Nay YO mee' but her name is pronounced as two syllables instead of three.

I should also note that I am not dead or anything, my computer is just not at the house, and I started working my new job this week. I could write a post from my phone, but it would take thrice as long and it wouldn't be a substantial post overral. Tonight I get my computer back, so I will have a full response to everyone by tonight.

Sighlent has not posted yet,and neither has Elric or ImmortalSin, but I would not expect one from the latter two because Elric has lost his muse and ImmortalSin has temporarily dropped out due to real life commitments. I am not sure if Sighlent is going to post soon either.

Or any of the other ways that it's possible to go about doing things in any role play, I decided that I would "reinform" you all here.

I was referring to the Council meeting room. Several must have missed that because I've seen other locations and sizes and descriptions of it, but that's okay. I'm not angry. However, in a role play this large scale, I find it helps to reread each post as I write, so I can make sure that I keep the proper details in mind. After all, if someone described their character as having short, blond hair, and another person described that same character as having flowing, red hair, it would be pretty incorrect. The same is true for surroundings and such.

Kalon, I think it's cool the way you described the Library. I don't mind if people want to add to its description as long as they keep in mind what's already in place and what's already been said.

It's also not a secret room. They're not having a meeting around the Portal or anything. Very few people even know about the Portal. The only person that seems to make sense as having known about the Portal is Venteux because she guards it. Other guards would be NPC's, and there are those who specifically "own" the Library who need to know about it to ensure its safety and to hire guards and whatnot.

I'm actually kind of curious if there's a reason why Kalon's people would know about it. I know they're immortal, but if the Thendári character wasn't around at the time that it became all hush-hush, I wouldn't know why they would keep the knowledge of it throughout their nation because it's meant to be a secret. I'm sure the people who guard the Portal and whatnot would have specifically asked that the knowledge of it not be spread, even between those as highly regarded as the Thendári. You know? I'm sure if/when it's explained, it'll make sense.

That sounds good.

As for knowledge of the Portal, I don't really know who has knowledge of it other than guardians and such. Just know that if your character knows about it that it is a very rare thing to have that knowledge.

Just as a kind of declaration of mine, I am going to make sure that Jean is a pompous @$$ and arrogant to the extreme. All while not going too far and possibly offending someone, of course.

Just remember, hate the character, not the writer.

I just felt the need to say that because I have already been a victim of some people hating me, in previous role-plays on some dispersed sites, because my character was geniunely unlikable.

At least I can comfort myself on two notions:
1. FoG is full of nice people.

2. Jean isnt a COMPLETE moron.


I am not too sure about the second notion, however....
