The planet.

I have an idea for an rp, not one that you would see anywhere else. It's a sort of fantasy/sci-fi mix. Here is the description:
In the year 2234, a ship filled with 'volunteers' is sent from the Azien empire, to a large newly discovered planet. They are expected to cultivate and humanize the area surrounding where ever they were dropped off. The planet currently has no name, and is simply 'the' planet. It is large, fifteen times the size of earth, with breathable air and livable ecosystem. Despite it's size, the gravity is oddly enough 1.05 that of the earth, which astonishes all scientists who have researched it.
The rp takes place thirty years after, in the year 2264. Small cities have been established, aided by the Azien empire itself, which is a massive militaristic empire. The 'volunteers' were prisoners, and despite their initial lack of help and resources, have populated a third of the planet, though sparsely. The empire is a cruel one, with officers that feel themselves above the law, and soldiers from far off planets. They do their best to ignore/drive off the natives of the planet, which include aliens and beasts, to 'ensure the safety of the people'. In reality, the empire doesn't the already aggravated colonists to join with the sometimes terrifying natives, and take one of the few livable planets left.
Aliens do exist, and are not completely unheard of. Magic is almost as common as aliens, with all types and forms allowed within the empire. People could play as a colonizer within the planet, an officer/high ranking imperial, or a native to the planet. Multiple characters are allowed, I will be playing the empress, Azie, while anyone else can play anything they want, really. Their aren't many restrictions, make up any race of people, weapon, type of magic, or terrain that you want. Any questions, just ask, I have no problem answering them, thanks.

Looks pretty cool. Do you have any direction that it will be going in, like a civil war between the colonists and the Empire itself or something?

Yes, actually. The colonists, and the natives, which would create a most horrifying army indeed.

Sounds pretty cool. So is the setting going to be a very futuristic and technologically advanced society with influences of high fantasy (magic, swords, stuff like that)?

Yes, everything you could imagine, is possible. High tech assassin soldiers, swordsman with weapons of the strongest of metals, able to slice up bullets in mid air. Wizards, sorcerers, and techno-mages, spell casters that mix technology with magic.
