An unexpected surprise... Empty An unexpected surprise...

Post by Mattipus Mon Aug 31, 2009 7:12 pm

Hello everyone.

I guess I should start by saying a big thank you to Fate Foretold for inviting me to join the RP community here. I'm another of the numerous immigrants from RolePlay Gateway... I've been there literally a matter of weeks, so it was a rather unexpected yet pleasant surprise for me to receive an invite.

A brief word about me... my name is Matt (as you may have already guessed), I'm 17, and I hail from the UK. I've been roleplaying on and off for about three years now, on a variety of forums, though until recently I've been focused around fantasy roleplaying. That said, I have no real preference in what style of RP I participate in... so long as it meets a few personal requirements and the plot interests me.

As for what you can expect of me... well, I wouldn't say I'm the greatest writer in the world, but I do my best, which normally gets me by. Seeing as I've already roped myself into no fewer than four roleplays back at RolePlay Gateway, I doubt I'll be able to post too often, especially with college restarting soon, but I'll do my best to get involved here.

I greatly look forwards to my time here.

Mattipus.

Hey, I know what it's like to have college run your life. I start classes for my senior year tomorrow. Yikes! Anyway, welcome to FOG! As you can probably guess by Diodri's creative self-intro, we have quite a lot of interesting people here. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun! Enjoy your stay!

Hello there, Mattipus!

An unexpected surprise... WelcomeToFOG

It is a pleasure to have you here with us. Oh, I do love that we have members from so many parts of the world, especially places like the UK. (We Americans do love your accents!)

I think that fantasy is certainly one of the biggest genres that interests people, so I hope that you'll have no trouble finding some of those to participate in. I think that sounds reasonable enough though that you just have a few main requirements.

It's understandable that school comes first. I think that everyone is a bit more busy now which summer vacation being over. I hope that no one has any insane amount of homework though!

Well, it's wonderful to have you here, and if you have any questions or need help with anything, feel free to ask.

Welcome to FoG, Matt.

It's good to see another friendly face. We're all pretty rad over here, so I'm sure you'll fit in just fine.

What made you decide to use the screen name "Mattipus" ((other than the fact that the first part is your name))?

Huh, wow... there are certainly some enthusiastic people around here... so much energy... heh.

Thanks everyone! It feels very welcoming here indeed.

As for my screen name, Kathryn, I believe it had something to do with a variety of puns a friend of mine came up with once, using my name (Mattipillar also springs to mind), and I just happened to rather like the sound of Mattipus... plus I really like the platypus as an animal. So yeah, it's a real-life thing I often get called, as well as a screen name.

Now all that remains is to find me a roleplay...

Kalon, why did you randomly capitalize some words. Also, his name is Ttam, not Mattipus.

Oooh. That's interesting. I would love to do things like that. It would be so much fun. I could be a Katerpillar. XD It works so well. When I was little, my nick name was Katie-did ((you... like the leaf-looking insect katydid?)), but that was because my older brother would get into some mischief and be like, "Katie did it!" It's a family nick-name ((Katie)), and I don't really like others using it on me. =\

You're so zeta slow. tongue (lol, sorry; couldn't resist)
Try reading it with an announcer voice and put extra emphasis on the capitalized bits.

If you're referring to the Greek letter: Sorry, but it's Zeta. ^_^
Since you're probably referencing the quote, though, you'd be right.
Zetta. Thumbs Up

Hey, you should call him Titam! Very Happy
