I can answer that question for you Fate. Those are real tattoos. I have enough of them to know real ones when i see them in pictures. The only one I am not 100% positive about is the I Love Sex one, but even that one I am pretty sure is real too.

They are indeed real. I guess the reason they look false is because they were all done by amateur tattoo artists.
As for the I <3 Sex tattoo...that's what results in hours of excessive drinking with a tattoo artist. Definitely not a good idea, but I don't regret it either.

Ah, nice. Well, I just wasn't sure if they were real since they aren't your traditional tattoos, you know? There's nothing wrong with going to an amateur artist! I think Kathryn might have gone to one as well for hers.





Well, I have been gone all day today. I got up at 6:30am (to drive to my parents' house in time for us all to leave together) and got back around 4:00pm.

Today was my dad's retirement ceremony from the Rock Island Arsenal, where he worked as an Equipment Specialist for the computers on the Bradley Fighting Vehicles. He and a few hundred others retired today, since many of the jobs are being relocated. My dad was among 5 or so others that had worked there for over 40 years. It was a big federal government ceremony with even the Major General Kurt Stein, who handed out the awards, flags, medals, etc. It was a lot like a graduation ceremony, and a few other people I knew who worked at the Arsenal were retiring as well, so it was pretty neat.

I'm proud of my dad and am happy for my parents for being able to move and retire to their ideal location next week down in Rio Rancho, New Mexico (a suburb of Albuquerque). I can't wait to visit them for free with my dad's frequent flyer miles next year and see their new house. It'll be strange to not be able to visit them anymore in the house I grew up in, so that'll be an adjustment not having them anywhere nearby.

Here's my dad and his friend, Tom. I'm actually working on 2 book cover drawings from Tom's son for his two books his publishing.

1) About you and your brother looking alike - I think you look similar. Hopefully you haven't got what me and my half sister get: "Oh, is this your new boyfriend?" OR "Dude... who's that chick with you? She's not fucking bad man. Tapping that?".

2) I saw your dad and was like "... Uncle Steve?", cause he looks like my Aunt's new Husband. I guess he DOES work "far away" and is gone for 3 weeks at a time for his "job"... OH MY GOD. 0_0 (/revelation)

Wow, Fate, what a change. I know what it is like to lose your childhood house, it definitely takes time to adjust. But its so great that your parents are going to be able to go where they want, and hopefully its not too hard with them away.

Your brother and you look somewhat similar, but I don't know if I would have absolutely known you were siblings without you telling me.

Dreamless, I know how you feel too. Whenever I go hang out with my dad, people ALWAYS think we are married. We look alike, he's 20 years older than me, my son looks like neither of us, and I call him DAD...what else do people need to realize that some grandfathers actually hang out with their grandchildren???

I think we probably looked a lot more similar when we were kids, but as we aged, we started to look more different.

Haha oh, wow. Yeah, that would be quite awkward!! I can't imagine someone not only asking if you and your sister were dating, but even going so far as to ask if you were "tapping that."

Whoa, that's pretty funny too! Oh my gosh. My dad is living two lives!! Actually, with his worked, he did travel a lot... Haha oh, man.

Yeah, it'll be a big change. I guess most people lose their childhood house if their parents move out. It is nice though that they'll be in a place where they can enjoy the weather and scenery, and my dad (being in his mid sixties now) won't have to worry about mowing the grass or shoveling snow.

I don't wear suits very often...and my element is definitely t-shirts, jeans, and chillaxed mode. However, I was really nervous in that picture as well because I was getting married the day after that. The picture was taken at a bar with my dad, uncle, younger brother, and close family friend for my "bachelor party".

So one of my friends at swing dancing is an amazing amateur photographer and recently busted out her camera at a couple of our Saturday night dances. She caught a couple of me and the boyfriend that I just had to share:


This one is my most recent FB profile picture. I was amazed that she was able to get both of our faces in the picture even though we were moving and dancing the whole time.


Normally my boyfriend doesn't like the slow songs, but he danced one with me this past Saturday because he knows I love them. Then my friend posted this picture, and it about knocked my breath away with the composition and the black/white editing. I still can't stop grinning every time I look at it.

Decided to post one...It's the newest, just taken yesterday. And it shows off my newest tattoo..I have six altogether.

The lighting is almost Sepia in tone. It's kind of pretty. I like the tattoo. I'm addicted to them as well, I'm finishing #8 now.

I don't really know what's up with the coloration in the picture. Bad lighting or something. But thank you! The tattoo was done by a girl I went to school with. I have no money and all my free tattoo artists are mad at me so I'm stuck with six for now.

Now, I don't have any to recent pictures. My camera was stolen over a year ago, and I'm saving up money to buy a good one.

Anyway, here's a picture from spring or was it summer break two years ago.
No make up, lighting and contrast editing. Taken in the car.



And here is a more recent one taken a few months ago before I got my hair cut. My friend who is an aspiring photographer took it, when I didn't notice.

Love the look on the kids face. That's the same as my "He $@^%ing broke it!" look. :3

Thanks Fate. We did have a great time. So great in fact we made plans to see them again when Incubus visits our part of the country again. However, no she is not a love interest, just a friend. While she is a very nice person, and fun to hang with, she is a bit too young for me to consider romantically. But I love friends, so I always like to add more to that group.
