That wouldn't work well, if you mean her left, our right. It's like a sleeve thing, but it's open, kinda falls down with the rest of the jacket. It would look flat and lifeless if it just fell straight down, plus one would lose the indicators of what the whole costume is like. The green sleeve would look odd, like it cut off or was too thin to accommodate the purple sleeves.

Edit:
oh, wait, you mean the decorations on the purple sleeves? those are smaller so that it looks farther away, and to help show that it's at a different angle. I had them the same size at one point, but it didn't look right, so I added some purple and that seemed to do the trick.

I think, when it was the same size, it made it look like her arm was turned more toward us, which it wouldn't be. The effect now is kind-of a perspective shot; you're seeing the sleeve a bit more at an angle than the front-on showing of the closer sleeve. Smile

I see your point. I thought it made her arm look too large, but I see it now. It looks really nice.

Oh, and I figured out how to make the white background transparent so I can fit my own background. So, no need to worry about that.

Thanks so much. Her traveling jacket looks great!

He looks good Kalon, but could I ask just a couple of revisions?

I was wondering if you could darken the colour or the eyes? They seem just a little too glowy for me.

Also, with the tattoos, could I get those darkened too? I see you tried to go with the red and blue, which I appreciate, but they too seem just a bit too colourful against his skin. If you could make them almost black with maybe just a touch of red or blue, that would be fantastic.

Thanks Kalon Very Happy

Post by Guest Mon Oct 04, 2010 2:45 pm

If someone could help make my character for me that would be great thanks. ^_^

Sil-Ril is on the large side for one of the Shienienarans standing at a respectable 4'6 in height. His face is fairly normal for one of the Shienienarans, slightly rounded with an flat nose and slit holes instead of nostrils. His facial splotches are abnormal though and rather than being symmetrical they are not. The right side of his face looks fairly normal with a large yellow splotch around it. However on his left side the splotch only covers the top half of his eye and so the rest is surrounded by the black grey of the majority of their body. His eyes like most of his race are slate grey with similarly grey pupils.

Sil-Ril wears the rich clothing of one of the Viceroys. Ornate red and white robes that cover all save his face and hands. Wearing the color red is a declaration that he is a member of the Viceroy's house and is to be obeyed. The white indicates that he is Consul to the Viceroy. Should he become Viceroy in the future he would instead wear red and gold.

Oh hey, Thanks, Ryona. Smile
I could have done it myself quite easily, but now I might not have to. xD

As for Raptorman's, this might prove quite difficult. I have a couple ideas, but I have a feeling I'll need to do a lot from scratch.
Ryona, if you like we could do what we did for Spectre. You seem to have good concepts for non-human things, like you did for the Tynir tiger stripes. If you do the base, I'll do touch-up. Smile

Also, Raptorman, was there another request you put in recently? I forget.

I need a light-blue skinned elf, with mint green eyes and a white mohawk. Since I know a little about Fire Emblem, I'd like to request that you use Marth as a base. If that's a pain for whatever reason, you don't have to. I just always liked the Marth look, and it seems to me like it would be easier to make Randall Garth's typical clothing just by coloring Marth's clothing white and turning the cape a deeper shade of blue, maybe? Could I please get a portrait that matches this description. (That I totally didn't just copy and paste >.>)

Allister is of a normal height for one of the Veloren, standing at 6'1". His eyes are slightly abinormal, being a light hazel color rather than the dominat eye color of green. His hair is a strawberry blond color that is cut short and groomed well, but often times darkens to a more auburn color during the winters. He has a soft looking face, with the traditionally pale skin of the Veloren yet the skin around his eyes creates a harder look in his eyes. Allister is a thin man, having almost no use for manual labor, but he in no way looks too thin, just a bit lanky. Allister usually wears the uniform of a ballistic mage, although you could find him wearing a variety of different clothes while off duty. The uniform of a ballistic mage is thus: Royal blue slacks with a chaimail backing just incase, an average looking white tunic and an ascot that bears the marks of rank, a royal blue jacket that is also lined with thin mail that has marks of rank on the cuff, and a pair of goggles that help protect the mages from the bright flashes of light that usually accompany balistics.

@ Quakernuts. Oh no!! I totally forgot the scar!! :O
I suppose it would be kind-of hard to see with the gray skin and the tattoos, but still. I'll update it if you want. Scars are fun. Smile

@ The End. Marth isn't featured in FE9 or 10. Marth is from 1 and 3, and the sprites from those games are pixelated. On the first page of my little studio here, I have a link to the site I use (I think). The site is FEPlanet.net, and it has a lot of sprites and things ripped from the games. I use the sprites from Path of Radiance (FE9) and Radiant Dawn (FE10), because of the usable artwork.

I CAN make one of Marth for you, since Shadow Dragon was released on the DS and has updated artwork, but it wouldn't match all the other portraits I make, since the artwork is still quite pixelated.

I could still make an elf. That's easy as winking. ^^ There are plenty of good-looking guys from those games. As for an elf with a mohawk... that I'm not sure I could manage with any quality.
I recommend you have a look at FEPlanet.net for yourself. Smile Go to the Spriter's Resource and browse through what they have for FE9 and FE10. FE10 has better artwork.

@ CrazyHobo. I'll put you on the list. ^^

I just realized, the scar is supposed to be on the left, not the right... Hmm
It should be fine though, I guess. We can always flip it.
If you want, I could do the face without the scar for the character Icon, and you can just flip this image to put in your avatar. Very Happy

I could make an avatar for you as well, by the way, if you like. Smile I'm not sure the flames go well with how dark the character is, even though his clothes are burnt and stuff. *shrug* It's up to you. ^^

-Eyes = Red in color
-Tattoos cover the skin, make them as tribal as you can please Very Happy
-Scar from the top of his left temple to bottom left of his jaw; straight down no jagged-ness to it.

If it really is on the right, I'd better update your character icon. Very Happy

As I said, if you think it'd be difficult or look odd, don't worry about it.

I didn't really think about the mohawk being difficult, either. A long white hairstyle will be fine; mohawks aren't ALWAYS up, after all. Smile
