A Life I Don't Have
-In the Brooklyn streets, things can get hard. Especially if you're just not having much luck with life. Shaylana Morris is one of those people who isn't too far on the lucky side. Having just been laid off from her job at the pharmaceutical company "Pfizer", she no longer has a method of supporting her 6 year-old son Marco. When things get rough and the electricity is turned off, she finds herself with only one options. She turns to the streets.

But the streets don't seem to be easy. She has to gather her determination, and find herself someone to work for. She'll do what it takes, looking foremost to be a dealer or distributor. But when things get worse, the man she ends up working under wants more from her than that. And with her son in mind, she is unsure of what influences she'd undertake for herself for Marco's better will; all in hopes of giving him the chance she never had.

Summary: This would be about a woman who's new to the streets, coming to find herself a job dealing and distributing drugs. She'll do what it takes, but that kind of mentality can get you in all kinds of down places. The other character would/could be either someone else, a neighbor or something, or more preferably a member of the gang/crew that's taking her in. Can she escape when she realizes that things here are more dangerous than they seem, or will she be in too deep? And in any case, can she save who she befriends, or will she crash and burn with them?

Name: Shaylana Jayn Morris / "Shay"

Personality: Shay is a spunky young woman. Even when life frowns on her, she looks up. She refuses to let herself get down, or let her sadness or worry appear before Marco. She's got iron will and is quite witty, and knows a thing or two about survival in a tight spot. Overall, her motherly instincts show the most, as she'll give up her pride and dignity for the chance of her son making it out of the streets.

Name: Marco Jamison Morris / "Mark James" / "MJ"

Appearance:

Personality: MJ is a bubbly young boy who thinks he's the King of the world. He rarely ever questions the absence of his father, but thinks of his mother as his world. He's a smart little boy, who loves to question how things work. He's also got a good sense of humor for someone so young, his mother's spunky nature rubbing off on him.

Personality: Jermaine is a street thug through and through. Having grown up in Bed Stuy his mentality is aggressive. He doesn't take shit from anyone. If someone disrespects him they get slapped. His whole mindset is making money. Many view him as heartless but he simply replies he's exactly what the hood made him. He is very motivated, very angry, and loves to handle "business" with people.

Sweet! I like him already. XD
