@ Melancholy Spirit: I don't know if my saying this is weird since I'm a guy, but your eyes seem really cool to me for some reason. I don't think I've seen anything quite like 'em before. It's like they're naturally perfect, artistically speaking.

Okay. Regrettably, I'm not going to comment on the photographs from the first page because there are so many, and they are all so freaking enormous that my dial-up even having over an hour to load them, will not do so.

I also want to say that I thought this was a place to post pictures of ourselves, not of scenery and pets? I know there's already a thread in which people can post images of their pets, but if there isn't one for scenery, it should definitely be made. I don't want to make it because I don't have any pictures to show of nice scenery in bumble-fuck Iowa, but I hope someone does.

I don't mean to sound like I'm bitching. I just wish that I could actually see what you guys all look like despite my dial-up, and with each page being crowded in pictures that aren't of you guys at all that are huge and need to take forever to load, it feels like it's not even worth it. I know it sucks to cater to dial-up users, but it would be nice anyway.

I know what you mean, Kathryn. I have dial-up as well and the previous page is near impossible to load. Every time only half the pictures will even appear.

Ryona: You only love my hair because you don’t have to take care of it. ~laughs~ Really, it is such a hassle to take care of every morning. But, ‘tis the price I have to pay for it being long. Of course, the insane curls don’t help…and it needs to be longer.

Kalon: You are honestly the first guy who has ever said anything like that about my eyes. I’ve had numerous guys compliment my hair (I’m used to strangers fondling my hair, actually) but…that is defiantly a first. Doesn’t bother me though, I actually knew a girl in high school that commented on my eyes every time she saw me. Apparently they take on golden and grey tones at times.

Eternity: Wow, that was defiantly interesting. Nice way to dangle a compliment in front of someone and then slap them in the face. ~chuckles~

Wonderful indeed, Kalon. ‘Tis my favorite source of light. As said, the picture is sadly old, one of these days I will get around the retaking it, perhaps with the addition of my dagger (real). Someday I plan on getting a decent amount of general pictures taken by candlelight, as I’ve enough of them. In my room alone are around fifteen.

Haven’t really watched lost myself, but I believe I know whom you are talking about Silvone. The actor was also on the show Becker for a while, if I’m not mistaken.

Well, I was going to ask you if it was a pain in the ass to deal with, but I thought that might be rude, so I didn't. I can somewhat relate, because I have unruly waves in my hair that leave it in a puff - neither curly nor straight, and definitely not nice looking

Gunneh: Point out the fact that my hair actually looks more akin to Z.P. Thearts (Dragonforce), just shorter (sadly) and a completely different color. Also, it doesn’t irritate me. I just take it in stride. Really, I just detest the band and the obsession fans have over them (including you two) when I don’t see anything remotely remarkable about them at all. I digress though, for you both know my opinions on that and this is not the place for such a thing.

Ryona: It wouldn’t have been rude at all. The main problem with my hair is that I have to use conditioner daily, ‘tis the only way to get it untangled without ripping out a mass of hair. As is I am still shocked at how thick my hair remains. The only way for it to look decent though is using leave-in conditioner. Other wise it frizzes out horribly (and then does look more like Claudio’s). Truth is, my hair wasn’t always like it is now. I had to get a soft-perm done back in November of ‘07 for it to look like this. No, my hair was not straight before. It just more curly. They were thicker and wound up like large springs, acted like it as well. During my sophomore and junior year of high school it was too short to do anything with so I had to just pick it out into an afro. That was a nuisance...but at least it looks much better now. Debating trying a relaxer in it or even straightening though.

Love you too, Jani You know that everyone has a reason for their obsessions with bands. I know that nothing about Coheed is entirely "remarkable" or "ground-breaking," and my obsession is there for no reason that is anywhere close to those reasons. My obsession is there because the lyrics speak to me, because Coheed is different than any of the bands that are around today and because my feelings are highly entwined in the lyrics (i.e. It makes me feel good ^_^ It's my happy music)

Melancholy, I totally get you. What I usually have to do is either refresh the page one million times, or allow each picture to partially load, stop the page from continuing to load, copy the link location, and paste it in a new tab. It's really a pain in the ass either way, especially when a few pictures refuse to load even a little.

I'm really going to have to give my amateur-photographic advice. I know you merely said candle light is your favorite lighting, and you by no means attempted to claim that it was the best overall, but I still feel the need to boast my opinion. heheh

First, in my opinion, the absolute best lighting is sunlight that is filtered by a few clouds in the sky. It's the best way to get a truly clear picture. However, I can understand the benefits of candle light for effect. The best way to use candle light for effect is to make sure the flame isn't actually in the picture, or you could dull the light in photoshop. Otherwise, the eye is automatically drawn to the brightest thing in the picture, and the main subject- like yourself in the image you showed us- isn't nearly as important.

Anyway, it's an interesting image nonetheless. I will say that your shirt sort of detracts from the mood of it in my opinion, but I still kind of like it. =3

Yes, I obviously have little skill with photography. The image wasn’t an attempt to create something clear though, in all honesty. I wanted the candles in the image to add to the entire imagery. Overall, it wasn’t an attempt for anything to be the main focus of the photo but for the entire image. The shirt, yes it does distract sadly. I would have worn just a simple black tunic (with a v-necklace) but I don’t own one, sadly.

The idea was inspired by a few pictures, as well as the overall theme of a lot of the music I listen to. For that, I figured you’d have to know the music really. It was a rather failed attempt at a poetic, artistic, dark image. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a better one sometime. Thanks for the advice though, I do appreciate it.
