Might fly away in a hurricane.
Just so everyone knows I am lucky enough to live on the East Coast. Thanks to a wonderful gal named Sandy I might not have power for a few days. So if I suddenly dissapear that is why.

Hey man, Frankenstorm is no joke.
In fact, Revan, if I were you I'd get a state's worth of distance at least between myself and the east coast.

Well I survived the storm. As did my house. Lost power for a bit over a day, but I had it lucky compared to a lot of folks around here. Sandy caused a lot of damage and killed a lot of people. It's going to take a lot to clean up here. It wasn't as bad as it could have been. It ended up moving quicker than predicted.

I'm really glad you're okay, and I hope that your friends and family are, too.

So relieved. My heart goes out to those less fortunate.

Thank you to everyone. Luckily for me my family and friends made it out okay. But there was a lot of deaths and damage all around where I live.

Re: Might fly away in a hurricane.
I'm so relieved you're safe! I've been seeing a variety of updates from my friends on Facebook. Some made it out with no loss of power/water/internet, while others are seeing floods and losing utilities for at least a short while. And then I see all the horror stories on my news apps. My thoughts are prayers are with everyone affected by the storm.

Yeah, I was really afraid for everyone. It looks like it wasn't nearly as bad as it looked like it might get. Still did a lot of damage though.
Glad you and yours are okay, Revan! Was thinkin' of ya.

Re: Might fly away in a hurricane.
It was actually very bad where I live, Staten Island. So far 19 people have been confirmed dead, including 2 young children who were pulled by water from their mother's arms. The amount of damage is something I have never seen. People have lost everything, homes, cars, clothes. It's really tragic.
On top of this, there is looting, people posing as city workers and than robbing people. It is going to be a long time before things get repaired.
If anyone wants to help there are sites set up to help victims of the storm.
Thanks!
