In Scripts of Red
- The end of the world is something we all know about in some way, be it through movies or books or old folklore tales. The apocalypse has been told in many versions; in fiery rain and meteors crashing, in demons rising from Hell's gates even, to the classical Judgment Day. But not many know of the fate that rises now...

Six people are born. Six people who know nothing about what they are to become. They lived their lives until adulthood reached them, and at eighteen they learned that there was something much greater than themselves going on.
These six chosen people are called the Readers. The Readers are a group of people who upon reaching adulthood gain certain power. Their ability is called 'Reading', but it's much more difficult than what it sounds.

-Memories and Reading-
You see, memories of the past, present, and even the future, linger around us at all times. They attach themselves to objects, and float from it like ribbons. These ribbons are called Scripts. Past memories are written upon, present memories are being written, and future memories are blank with the possibilities of great words waiting. Readers can reach out and run their fingers over an object, touch or hold anything or anyone, and read it. Some can only read the past when they first begin, and others the future or present.

-Energies and Chancing-
Along with this, one must know that all things- living and non-living- have energy. Readers have the ability to draw out energy from things, and store it. With storing it, they may use this later.
When they do this, they can make this energy blank and use it as a force (as in being able to create orbs of energy for fighting, or in some cases use it to allow telekinesis to some degree). Or, they can Chance.
When someone Chances, they take gathered energy and imply it on blank Scripts, and write a possibility for the future. This, in turn, adds more to the possibility of leaning it from one outcome to another.

-The Blind-
The Blind are the enemies here. They are demon-like creatures in the form of men, all wearing black of some sort. They have black blindfolds over their eyes, and are seeking the force of drawing the world into darkness, and then thrusting it back in time to start it all over again. In other words, they want to undo what has become of Earth. Not purely evil, though the cost of life is too great. The Blind can conduct dark energies and arcane magicks, and are said to have pitch black eyes that radiate the Abyss. If one were to look into the eyes of a Blind, it is said that they would lose their soul to darkness.

-The Storyline-
The Blind have been appearing, and things have been going awry. All over the world, people are waking up to realize that something is going wrong- something out of their hands. But a select few know that their power is unique, and that they must try at least to stop this massacre before it becomes any greater a disaster.
But the Blind are strong, and it is said that one of the Blind is more powerful than the rest, a masterful man named Chaos. Chaos is purging the world already, and before humans, has been hunting the Readers. With Chaos on the loose, and only seven to have been born as Readers, it is time to unite.


Together, these Readers will decide the fate of the world, in a battle against darkness and time itself...

The Reader from Australia has been diagnosed (From childhood) as severely autistic - Though I would insert bits from her point of view, I would be mostly IC as the bodyguard that her rich father had hired after a kidnapping/attack attempt upon her almost a year ago. If you prefer another option, I will still work something up.

Cool, though if someone want to take Australia instead - It would not be too difficult for me to use any other others either, the bodyguard doesn't need to be from the same place anyway, and the Reader will not be speaking much if at all - so I can be flexible.

Personality: Felicita is a strong willed woman who has her mind set on what needs to be done. She is kind and generous, but don't think that you can take advantage of her. Although she appears unbreakable in spirit, she suffers from nightmares, and she is haunted by something far greater than herself. She also has a fear of being alone that can make her snap at times.

History/Bio: Felicita Emerald was born in Bahia, Brazil (South America). She was a pretty normal girl- all but the fact that as a child she was a total tomboy. Felicita was a girl who loved the outdoors and loved to wander. She had a knack for adventure, and a love for learning that seemed to work hand in hand to make her a stronger person overall.

At a young age, she was gone a lot. Wandering through the town and nearby landscapes, and hanging out with a guy named Marcus Gomes. Marcus was an older boy, who got her into a common past time- mostly taken up by men. And that was the art of dance-fighting (as some people call it), or capoeira. Capoeira trained her to be stronger and faster, and within due time, she became an aluno formado, or a formed student who had now developed their own style. That was at age seventeen, right before everything took a wild change.

At eighteen, things changed, and very suddenly too. Scripts seemed to surround her for an entire year. She would wander off, becoming quiet and secluded. She spent a lot of her time in the forest, reading the future off of leaves and trees and rocks. After she learned to meditate, and create two visionary states between seeing Scripts and seeing the world as we see it, she stepped back into her world. And at nineteen, she went back to Bahia. But things were different.

Her friend Marcus, and her mother were both gone. No one spoke of their disappearances until she asked her old mestre what had happened. He told her that they had died by blindfolded men who called themselves the Blind. And also, that they were looking for a Reader.

After that, she went on a journey, mostly for self-exploration of her own destiny, but as well to find another Reader. Now her journey takes her to America- where she seeks to find others like her, and stop the darkness ensuing the world.

-Felicita is a trained aluno formado in Afro-Brazilian capoeira.
-Felicita uses no melee-styled weapon, but instead relies on her close-quarter fighting skills.
-She does carry one 9mm pistol on her.

Oh, I have been working on my char. history - would you have any objection to the existance of a cult that worships the Blind? (They wouldn't really know too much at all about what is really going on with the exception of maybe one or two of the leadership.)

Since turning 17, Cullen has not resided in any one place for more than a year.

-Clothes: In his current occupation as private bodyguard, Cullen is required to wear a suit, though his clothing preferences runs toward the practical and comfortable. Wrangler jeans and discount store shirts are the bulk of his private wardrobe.

Personality: Cullen is prone to bouts of melancholy, and only seems to be truly content when he is in a life-or-death situation. He very rarely shows any emotion, and has an unearthly control of his temper. Cullen's dark moods have been more common since the loss of his younger sister 3 years ago.

History/Bio: Cullen Edison was born in Hilo Hawaii, His father was an electrical engineer and his mother managed a SCUBA Outfitter. When he was 7 Cullen's mother was murdered - about a year after the murder, the remains of Cullen's Family (His father, 3 year-old sister and older brother) moved back to be closer to his father's family in Iowa.
Through High School, Cullen excelled as a Running Back in Football and was a multiple medalist in track & field, and in spite of a number of scholarship offers to the University of Nebraska, Iowa and Iowa State, Cullen chose to enlist in the army upon early graduation from high school.
After the army, where he served as a Special Forces sniper/ munitions expert, Cullen served as a police officer/SWAT specialist for 3 different departments. (Boston/San Diego and Dallas - none of them lasting more than 8 months.) He then spent a little over a year as a semi-pro MMA fighter - expanding his hand-to-hand training beyond what he had learned from the army. It was during this time that his sister was kidnapped and never found - Cullen quit fighting and went back to Harlan for 3 months to help console his nearly suicidal father.
The following 2 years of Cullen's life were spent working for a private security company as a bodyguard where he met Alvin Foster, the richest man in Oceana. Foster owns acres in Australia that are numbered in the 7 digit range, split between roughly 600 ranches.
Six months later Cullen has found himself on Foster's private payroll. (Cullen's employer had informed him that the offer was one that they could not refuse.) A year ago, Foster's 17 year old daughter, had been assaulted in an attempted kidnapping - somehow the autistic girl had kept herself out of their hands in the house long enough for the police to arrive, the nanny and another employee of the Foster household were unfortunately killed in the attack. The girl, Rachael was now Cullen's responsibility.

Other: Cullen has a natural inclination to understand firearms and weaponry, his sidearm of choice is a Kimber M1911 .45 - he carries 2 in jacket holsters - the grips of his right hand pistol have his mother's name: Maria Jayne Edison and the grips of his left hand pistol is engraved with his sister's name: Jacqueline Leah Edison.

Originates From: Europe, to be more exact, 3 miles outside of Linz Austria. His house being the distance of a rock throw to the Danube River.

Reader Abilities:
-He can visually see Scripts only after a person dies, he has not yet attempted to read one though.

-He can transfer energy from any source around him into other objects, manipulating their movements in which ever way he pleases, though he can't making a bullet spin on a dime, he's still pretty decent at doing what he wants. He hasn't been able to reconstruct one of his most recent discoveries, but he was able to once make something take in so much energy (it was just a small austrian coin...) that it exploded with the force of a decent sized chunk of C4.

Atire - Normally casual, though he has taken a liking to the shirts with all the tribal markings on them, Nike brand shoes, and dark jeans. He wears a silver chain necklace around his neck, though it doesn't have any sort of pendant on it.
And just to throw it in...
Hand Size - His hands are freaking massive, 9" from the end of his wrist to the tip of his middle finger on both hands.

Personality:He's very quiet and doesn't get much of a chance to show off his personality. He tends to be a stone cold kind of person and doesn't show a great amount of emotion, though, it's not impossible to make him smile every now and then, but getting him to laugh is another thing. Again, he's very quiet and this makes people kind of label him as a freak, occasionally being the reason why he doesn't get along well with other people. He has a great brain in his skull and can give advice to just about what ever you want, being a considerably better listener than a speaker. He loves to listen to people and learn things about them that even they don't know they're showing.

History/Bio:As stated above, Sig (short for Sigmund) was raised in Linz Austria. He grew up without a father or another sibling on the Danube river, and grew up through the years working nearly every day without pay aside from his house and food. Whether it was chopping up wood for a fire, fixing their pathetic excuse for a house, or working on their fields, he was always busy and never really seemed to have much time to himself as he was always trying to help his family. He went through his schooling without ever having to be reprimanded from his teachers, showing exemplary respect to them. It seemed like he was always well built and muscular to some effect even when ever he was only about 8 years old, this just growing as the years went by. His mother used to always complain because it seemed like he was almost always eating, which he really wasn't... but her statement wasn't exactly a hyperbole in any respect...

With a growing boy on her hands, she worked as much as possible as a small farmers market, selling just enough crops to keep their home in order. Everything was going perfectly up until Sig neared the age of 18, starting to see... Odd things and people. He felt like there was always someone watching him yet he couldn't see them, and it seemed his nerves tended to get to him, always nearly killing someone had they came up behind him and put a hand on his shoulder. It was ironically enough, at this point, that he found out he had the quickness and agility to become quite decent at martial arts, and only learned a bit here and there because the people closest to them had known just enough... Well, that's a little short of what they really knew. Sig just watched them every now and again while they practiced and he worked in the fields, picking up things here and there. He was a quick learner and was quite adept at learning things visually without having to practice.

He learned about his main power (able to move things with concentrated energy) when he was, yet again, working diligently out in the fields, noticing that a storm was coming in. He hollered at his mother and they moved to the porch, watching the blackened clouds move closer and closer, though this wasn't exactly new to the area, it rained nearly every day in the damned place. As the night went on, so did the storm, which grew and grew, lightning striking everywhere. Both Sig and his mother moved to the living area of their home, watching out one of the few windows in the house. It felt like it happened so fast, but this is what happened... Lightning hit the house, though all they felt was a violent shake, then nothing. Without another word, they continued to watch the storm grow, just as a fire had sparked outside and was gaining ground vehemently. Without even noticing the smoke forming as a thin layer on the ceiling, no one bothered to move, no one would know what was going on until it was later in the night and all would be lost. The fire spread through the roof and was already chipping away at the rafters which hung above their heads at that very point in time, Sig just now noticing a different smell attacking his nose. There was one creak, then a crack, and a split... The rafter shifted out of the now flimsy outside wall, falling toward Sig's head in what seemed to be slow motion to him, without realizing what he was doing, his hand came up and all of a sudden, by an act of god, the rafter seized up for a second, then was thrust out of the house and about 100 yards back into their field.

Needless to say, Sig was distinctly shocked by this, not thinking about that the house was on fire, nor of his mother. His hand shook consistently, and he slowly turned his head to his mother, just to see that a nail from the center of the rafter had gotten much too close, having ripped open the entire left side of her head with the force which had removed the rafter from their general area. The rest of the night was a blue and his mother was given her burial in the place which she did so much for, having been a type of unintended funeral pyre. The flames had left nothing behind, though as the skies parted and the sun gave sight to the destruction which had been left behind... He found that there was a small thread which seemed to be floating off into the sky, something which caught him by surprise and made people think he was crazy as he asked people about it.

After a few more years of trying to rebuild his life, he found he was drawn to using the power which took him over 6 months to figure out. He soon decided to leave the town of his ancestors, and broaden his horizons. He first ended up in Scotland, learning a great amount of English, and gaining a personal body guard license. He beefed up quite a lot in that time, gaining 20 pounds of straight muscle and growing 2 inches. He has been on the move since then, picking up a few high profile employers within the past three years.

Other:It may not look like it, but he's packing no matter where he goes. If he doesn't have a knife, he has a gun, and if he doesn't have a gun, he has a knife. He's trained to use anything and everything around him as a weapon if need be, and is distinctly good as concealing something if he really wants to. He tends to stick with Sig Saur's as far as pistols go, not just because it has his name in the brand itself, but because he loves their reliability factor, and general shape and size.

Reader Abilities:
-Reading Present Scripts (This entails almost her entire preception of reality, she 'reads' scripts in a language of colors and picks them up from everything she sees.)
-Power projection (While unable or unwilling to defend herself physically, Rachael has the ability to lend 'help' to her caregiver in various forms - this power is unpredictable both in it's consistancy and in the form that it takes.)

Appearance: Pic is coming.

Personality: Rachael is a non-communicative autistic, she rarely smiles except at her father. She seems to be very attentive at times, though has been known to withdraw completely from social interaction, even with those who care for her.

History/Bio: Rachael was bounced around to all of the best doctors in the world from age 4 until 16 - Alvin Foster felt that medicine MUST have a way to treat his daughter's condition, but when she was away from home, it seemed that things always became worse. Two years ago, Foster brought his daughter back home for good, still praying that some cure for her condition could be found, but hoping to give her as great of a life as he was capable until that happened.
The kidnapping attempt occurred just under a year ago, one month before her 18th birthday - A dozen men had broken into the house, in an attempt to kidnap the girl, her nanny had managed to call the police but was killed before they arrived. Rachael had been found kneeling by her body.
Alvin Foster's response was to hire a small military to guard the house along with a number of personal bodyguards for Rachael, none of which lasted more than a month, until Cullen was hired. His colors were blue, streaked with grey and white, a sad and beautiful thing compared to the splotchy browns and blacks that covered the other 'friends' that father had brought for her - the autistic girl found that amazing, and bonded with the American.

Other: Rachael's ability makes her an incredible judge of character and intent.

Oohhh...I like Vegas...I've been there way too many times - Dangit! I told my wife that all that Blackjack would pay off someday!!

Lol! Well I picked this place, because it has plenty of possibility, plenty to do, and the rich city life is perfect for the first few 'scenes' I want to create. If we don't get one more person by tonight, I'm going to just leave the spot open and bring us all in into the IC!!!!

Yesssssssss, haha. Gonna have Sig be the body guard to a casino owner or something along those lines...
