Steampunk Supers

So...
Gunneh and I were talking about starting yet ANOTHER supers RP here on FOG. While we were hunting down character apperances...Gunneh showed me this one and it had steampunk in the title so I decided to do a little digging. I was amazed at what I found. I'm new when it comes to steampunk themes, but I've read enough in the last hour to give myself a good idea about what I'm wanting to do.


Two teams live in alternate history Earth. Its a steampunk setting [obviously] and the two teams consist of four humans with either abilities or peaked human conditions. These two teams are constantly bickering and trying to show up one another. One team is run by Nicolae [ Gunneh's character] and the other is led by Anaris [my character].

This is a rough idea and I don't have too much of a plot in mind, but if I find some interest, maybe we can all brainstorm and work out a plot. If not, I'm always cool with winging it. lol.

Now...who is interested?!

Is this like actually superpowers or more like technology amplified people?

Both.
You can have actual superpowers or have technology that peaks the human condition or gives you an ability.

Like what sort of super powers?

Like X-men class of powers or more like superman/spider man type power levels?

More X-men than anything I suppose.

I'm guessing, because of the steampunk aspect that we've tried to go for with this idea that we're going for an American West type of feeling for the setting. If that's not what Ana had in mind, then please do forgive me. In any matter, I do have a few ideas:

1. Team names are a must in this case. I do believe that I'll be going with the Mavericks for mine to keep with that possible Wild West feel.

2. Petty theft is not a reasonable case for death. I'd like some complex characters. Hell, even morally ambiguous characters would be interesting, but keep it in line. That's my idea, though.

3. I'm watching the Half Blood Prince right now, and the black smoke that the Death Eaters travel by seems like a completely awesome idea for the baddies.

As for my teams name...I have absolutely NO idea. D: Help?

I agree with the petty theft doesnt equal death thing. Keep it rather realistic and complex characters are LOVED!

The black smoke thing could be good for baddies. I like it.
I'll be putting up the OoC and profiles soon.
I need to sort out some things for my character and we should be good to get this rolling.
