Cranston City Massacre Empty Cranston City Massacre

No one talked about it throughout much of the country. The days of the Mafia seemed to be gone from history. Capone was no more and everyone thought things had gone into a new, safer direction at the turning of the midway point of the century. The second Great War was over and optimism was flourishing. The economy was great, life was great. However, one city had a secret. Along the eastern seaboard far up the coast from New York stood Cranston City, the dark stain upon the country in its time of prosperity. The mafia still ran things within the city with three families at the forefront with the strongest being the Italian D'Arcangelo family.

Until recently the D’Arcangelo’s were allies of the Ukrainian Petrenko family, who had previously been at war with the Irish Kavanagh family. The violent open war left the city painted in blood, and both families in extremely weakened states. The Petrenko family was the stronger of the two when things became ‘resolved’ and an agreement of peace was made. The D’Arcangelo family saw this as the optimal time to strike and gain control over the entire city. They struck first against their allies and took the Petrenko family be surprise. It was the worst massacre in the history of the country to date with the entire family found brutally executed in their home, lured in by a supposed important meeting.

This is where our story begins…

The year is 1962. You are part of the Irish family, battered and beaten into a corner up against the notorious D’Arcangelo family. It comes down to the abilities and willingness of every family member, regardless of gender, to make a stand against the D’Arcangelo family in order to survive. Likelihood for such an endeavor will come down to outsmarting and outmaneuvering the Italians, for an open war with them would lead to the same fate as the Petrenko.

Note: Gunneh will be taking the role as 'Don' of the Irish family, thus meaning everyone else (including myself) will be technically under his reign.

Cranston City Massacre Oliver

Name:
Alexander Petrenko

Age:
Twenty-five

Affiliation:
Kavanagh Family

Job:
Worked in a restaurant as a waiter (among other things) and go-to errand man, making special deliveries and overseeing smuggling transactions, currently working as bartender for the Irish Don until further proving himself trustworthy.

Family:
Alexander is the bastard-nephew of the late Don Vladimir Petrenko.

Biography:
Alexander was raised in the household of his uncle. He was a bastard child conceived from a taboo relationship with a low-end cousin of the D’Arcangelo family. At the time the Petrenko families were at odds with the Italians. The coupling of his own sister with a D’Arcangelo, and lowly discarded one at that, put Vladimir into a rage that stemmed into the execution of the D’Arcangelo as well as that of his Alexander’s mother. He waited, however, until Alexander himself was old enough to no longer need his mother before ordering her death. The boy, despite his tainted heritage, was allowed to live through pure necessity. Vladimir needed him, he needed every able bodied male he could get at the time.

Alexander was then raised in his uncle’s household, being turned into a highly educated young man. He was taught to play classical compassions on the piano, economics, history, mathematics, and anything else that might further his development. At the ten he was running errands for his uncle and at the age of fourteen began working in his main restaurant. By seventeen he had become the main go-to member of his uncles staff when special errands needed to be handled as well as making sure things were in order at several warehouses and an overseer of important business transactions.

On the night his family was taken out of the picture by the D’Arcangelo family Alexander was across town meeting with one of the many crooked cops in the city. The mere circumstance of his uncle sending him out on the late night, last minute errand saved his life and incited within him a need for vengeance. It was perhaps in this moment that the rigorous education his uncle put him through as a child paid off the most. After nearly acting upon a foolish, brash instinct to attempt killing the Italian Don on his own Alexander realized his best option was with the family his own had recently came into peaceful terms with: The Irish.

It would be a hard thing to accomplish, but Alexander was determined to prove his loyalty to Don Kavanagh and make the Don see him as a trustworthy ally. From there he would be able to exact his vengeance on the murderous D’Arcangelo.

Cranston City Massacre Mobster_by_the_river_by_xElfenLied

Name: Callum Kavanagh

Age: Thirty-Two

Affilliation: Kavanagh Family

Job: Don of the Kavanagh Family

Family: Anyone living in the area of Cranston that his family controls.

Biography: Callum had spent most of his early life in Dublin where the Kavanagh Family were the closest thing to royalty that the city had seen in a long time. Back then, things were quiet on the Emerald Isle, but the silence didn't last for long. The civil war between the Irish and British started to explode and things became violent, prompting Callum's grandfather to make the call that the Family would move to America so that his children and grandchildren could live safely.

It didn't take long for the Family to regain their strength in the city of Cranston. It wasn't as corrupt as they'd heard that New York had been, but it was a good place to settle down. Callum began homeschooling with his mother so that he wouldn't be out in the open and in harm's way. He learned quickly and he actually enjoyed learning, but he loved to sit at his father's side and listen as business was conducted.

His father died on Christmas Day, 1956, leaving Callum to assume the position of Don at just 28 years of age. It was difficult to fall into the job at first, especially during such a time of turmoil with the Ukrainians, but he soon brought strength back to the Kavanagh Family.
