Sorry, didn't realize it had been a whole damn week since I'd posted. My fault.

It's okay, things have been a bit crazy here for me too. Looking forward to Thanksgiving break.

Yeah, me too. By the way, I got snagged for being under the 10-sentence limit again. I need to get used to being verbose, but I hate going over, you know? Sometimes I want to keep it brief so we can keep the flow going. Feh, there's a reason for it on this site, and if people didn't like it, they wouldn't post here. Very Happy

At first I was annoyed with the requirement, but I think it does serve a purpose. I tend to write too little rather than too much.

Congrats to us for finally making it to the building!

cheers

Can you believe... It's taken us over a month!?

affraid

Jokes aside I think we got some great character development going. Have you seen Before Sunset? Reminds me of that. Male / female conversation while walking through a city.

I'm going to do some thinking about the next section... I'm very excited we made it this far! Who knows what the future holds?

PS, here's some background info on Kurzweil's ridiculousness. Relevant to the first Interlude.

The Interlude is supposed to be silly. We can carry it on as far as you like. Thought it'd be good to take a quick break from the main plot line, involving the same characters but in an alternate universe Smile

PPS I realize controlling your character is against the rules, but I figured since this is an Interlude we could break the rules for a bit. The same goes for Sheila as well, as long as it's not totally unrealistic in terms of her character.

I'm not sure I understand the alternate universe interlude. I'm perfectly fine with continuing the main story, personally. I'm enjoying it immensely, and yes, it has taken us a bit of time, hasn't it? No worries, quality, not quantity, right?

Yeah I decided that it's probably not a good idea - I have super attention deficit problems and tend to get sidetracked even with the best intentions Razz

I was thinking in terms of TV shows where there will be several episodes on the main story line, then a goofy "one-off" episode to relieve tension where the characters show different sides of their personality. Also the manga tradition of having a silly section at the end.

In my profession I have to set up a lot of boundaries, so when I'm off work I tend to be all about boundary-crossing and bending rules. But I think going off on a tangent would endanger the main plotline, and I should have checked with you first! I tend to just do things without thinking. Sorry about that! drunken

It's not a problem at all! Really, I appreciate your intentions. And I'm sorry, but I don't know what it is you do at work. Without divulging too much personal information (it being a public website and all), shall we share some things about ourselves? We are writing partners after all.

Gosh, feels like a first date! Wink

Good!

Yeah sometimes I'll be doing something around the house, and I have to catch myself because I'll walk into the next room and see something and start fixing that up without finishing the job I was already working on. I feel like that happens all too often in my other projects, too, so I want to start keeping on track!

As for introductions, I'd like to do that in private messages, because I am paranoid Wink
