Lol I know next to nothing about sports, football included, but a guy in my class (Josh) is always talking to me about it. Apparently, he got really worked up when one of his teams lost. He's always asking me if I'm playing Madden or if I caught the last game. He knows that I'm not into sports, but he likes to mess with me. Sorry I can't help to contribute any! The most fun thing for me is just trying to guess the team names lol.

I'm in the same boat as you, Fate. I know very little about football, lol. I do watch the Superbowl though and I do get really worked up if the team I'm (sort of) routing for is losing, lol. It's really odd, apparently I've really competitive even with things I don't fully understand.

Yes, I love the Hogs despite them not being the best team out there. My dad raised me to love them and I still love and watch their games in his memory.

Gunneh... you really want to open that can of worms? Good thing one game doesn't decide the Heisman, huh? I'll hand it to Tennessee's defense; they played well, and held Tebow at bay. Bottom line is Lane Kiffin is a jackass/dumbass, and the credit goes to his daddy. You may remember him, Monte Kiffin, the defensive coach for the Bucs' #1 D; you know, the one that won the Super Bowl for them. The guy's considered a mastermind.

Wait, since when was liking sports qualification for being a nerd? I’m bloody confused…

Anyway, I’m don’t get into sports nearly as often as you guys. Music is my mistress, and in terms of sports I prefer hockey. I did play football in 8th grade and my freshman year of high school, but that was a waste of time. Playing on a team takes all the fun out of it. As for watching the game, I don’t ever watch college really. As for the NFL, I usually only watch the occasional Steelers game.

Now, before people go on about the traditional “only a fan because they won the superbowl” that isn’t true. I was raised by a Steelers fan who was raised by one himself (my father/his grandfather). It just sort of stuck, plus I have a lot more respect for the Steelers franchise and the way they handle things more than most other teams. Plus, Troy Polamalu is a beast. I used to play safety myself (favorite possession) as well as corner back and defensive end/line backer (only in practice for the later two though). He also has awesome long hair. :p

There is only one time a year that I'll watch football, and that's the ever-so-adored Super Bowl.

Let me say that again:

And I only watch it for the truly unique commercials and half-time show (which usually sucks now that we can no longer show boobies on national television ).

I know next to nothing about the sport itself.

I'm a little late to the sports party but I shall jump right in. *coughs* Feeling as though Seattle is my true home let me just say this. UW OVER USC! WHOOOOOOO!

....Anyways. I am going to say this now so Gunneh and Danger can hate me and be done with it. I want Florida and Tenn to fail. Harshly. I want every major school in the COUNTRY to lose AT LEAST twice. Why? Because as I said I want MAJOR schools to lose. I want a non BCS team to go for the BCS title. (This year it seems like the always dangerous Boise St.) Because though it won't give us a playoffs every right minded college football fan in craving, it sure as hell will put a HUGE dent in the other sides argument.

Moving on to the NFL, I was born bleeding Raider Black and Silver. (Yeah laugh it up guys I STICK with my team, even on the down years.) But I've also been HUGE fans of two players and the respective teams since they came into the league. And they are Mr. Ray Lewis of the B-more Ravens, and Mr. Payton Manning of the Indy Colts. Lewis I believe has been the greatest defensive force in football since the original L.T. Lawrence Taylor.And Manning is well fucking Peyton Manning, the greatest Quarterback mind of this generation.

P.S. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm starting to root for the Jets. Why? Because Rex "I back my talk up" Ryan is coaching them. The man has a mentality of blitz now, blitz later, and at the end of the game keep blitzing and I love that!

How about my Jaguars! 2-2 so far on the year! That's with 23 rookies on the team and 5 rookies starting in major positions! Here we come Seattle!
