LD's Siggy Works over years
First one EVER
*rolls over laughing* Squishy was my ex's pet name.
I thought I was in love at this time. *points to signature below* Ha.
Did this for a contest but changed it too...
This:
I lost. Unfairly
First animation attempt
I'm still learning. :3 The ones that have different names on them such as Jwplayer and Nagisa are ones I did for other people on my old forum. I hope to get really really really really good one day. I think I'm getting better and I get inspiration to try new things from you guys out there, reading this right now You are my muse.

Whooooa! That's quite a resume!
I love the progression! You can really see the growth in skill.
I'd request one from you in an instant, except doing so would be unfair, since I definitely want to keep mine. If you have nothing to do one day, though, and you want to use me for inspiration, I'd be flattered.
Your work is awesome!!

Not bad, not bad...
Your newer ones are clearly miles ahead of the first ones you did. I think you "over-layered" some of them. Your choice of colors however is excellent and spot on even in some of your older works.
My suggestion would be to read some tutorials while altering/leaving out some steps for different effects , or look at other sigs and try to guess how they were made. It's also fun to look at tutorials made for software that you don't use, and try to make effects to replicate a step you can't create. you can come up with some very interesting looks doing this!

Lol. I wouldn't want to replace your current signature. Its very cool and I love how you used a crest on it. It's defiantly nothing I've seen before.
I've tried looking up software to do new effects but I don't even know where to start. I just got so over welmed. I want to know how this person made the render a warm and clear color like that. I couldn't figure it out.
Re: LD's Siggy Works over years
I just type sig tuts on deviant art and click on the first one I like, let that digest, and then move on. if you want to learn a particular techniqu, just add that to the keywords.
That particular sig does look very clear, and I'm happy to tell you that I know how he did it! This sig was done with very few effects and instead he/she did most of his work with gradit(?) maps and layer effects.
Try this on for a size.

You'll probably want to use less effects than what the tut's creator used if you desire a clear look. if you aren't using PS or GIMP, there are plug-in programs you can install to achieve gradit maps.
Here's something I made a while ago. It's probably more cluttered than what you're looking for, but it's more to show you how omitting and changing steps in a tut can still get you decent results.
Also, it's a wall paper, so it may take some time to load. the only difference between sigs and wallpapers is part of the BG has to kind of one color so that your icons show up nice and easy without eye strains. And I tend to omit text on a WP, since it's unnecessary.

Good luck, and may you continue to produce masterpieces!

Re: LD's Siggy Works over years
Friggin' Sweet. I could totally put this tutorial to good use. Thank you so much. If anyone else has any good tutorials that you think I would like feel free to post them here. I love colors, and extrema effects. Text tutorials are great too but I'm VERY picky. Now. I gots to do another signature for Sis so I'm defiantly going to try out these tutorials.
Re: LD's Siggy Works over years
I never used this tutorial, but it's similar to the last one in the sense that it doesn't clutter the foreground up too much.

This probably isn't what you're looking for, but it will teach you some very cool tricks with your software. you have to click the line under "download" to see the tutorial.

I think you'll like this one. it doesn't tell you how to do everything though, so you need to be a moderate sig maker or love experimentation in order to get desired results.

I think that's enough for now... maybe I should get back into creating things.
