"Paradise in the Rough"

Banished from the garden
fall from paradise to rough reality

Hit the ground running, taking strife in stride.
forge a road to tread with worn hands.
A broken man, lost woman, left to their own devices to find a way to stay breathing in crowded air.

Time falls hard, passes cold, complex.
New worries every day,
unstable emotions in the way
purity quickly fades.

Livin' hard, loving tender
perfect company, broken dreams
molding them wise, spirits age like wine.

content in hardships, laughing when its good.
walked it, talked it, collection of scars.
Two parts tryin' like hell to make a whole.
