Lyonesse's Secret Identities Empty From: We Are One

Post by Lyonesse Sat Aug 14, 2010 6:34 pm

Name: Danny Russell (Sundown)

Age: 29

Ability: Solar radiation absorption and expulsion. This means that he absorbs ultraviolet electromagnetic radiation primarily from sunlight (although he can supplement it some with black lights) through his skin, which he can store for short periods of time and expel it, usually through his hands, as blasts of heat that can turn into flame if he makes them hot enough to combust things. He can usually keep enough control to keep his clothes or other objects he's touching from being affected, which keeps him from winding up naked after every battle, although accidents have been known to happen. His powers also have the effect of causing his body to glow whenever he uses them, fluorescing beneath his skin and producing an effect similar to when someone shines a flashlight through their hand. As a result of his powers, he's also immune to most radiation, high temperatures and never gets a sunburn. However, his powers drain very quickly, which means he almost constantly needs to renew them or he'll be left defenseless. This means he usually has to spend at least a few hours outside absorbing sunlight, even more if it's cloudy.

Side: Heroes

Bio: Danny was raised in a trailer park in southern Arizona, right on the border of the Sonoran Desert by his father, who was a drunk and a smalltime drug dealer, but he always treated Danny all right. However, when his father began to move on to turning their kitchen into a meth lab, the two of them started to fight more and more often until one day when Danny's father shoved him into some equipment that fell over and started a fire. Although the flames hit Danny straight in the face, he stumbled back unharmed while everything around him began to burn, including his father. Terrified and confused beyond belief, Danny ran off into the desert, his powers activating instinctively and surrounding him in a wide aura of flames and heat the turned the sand around to glass and scorched everything else to ash. The next day he stumbled back into town naked and confused beyond belief. After a neighbor helped him get back on his feet, Danny took off, hitchhiking and working odd jobs across the country before settling in Century City. He started working as a bartender and a bouncer and fell in love.

He was perfectly happy living a quiet life under the radar until drug related crime started picking up in his neighborhood and his girlfriend, Kate, was threatened by them and a young boy was killed in a shootout between two dealers. Pushed to his breaking point and haunted by what had happened in his own life because of drugs, Danny put together a makeshift costume and started burning the dealers out of the neighborhood. His actions, and his powers, scared the crap out of Kate for a while, but she stuck with Danny and even started to encourage him to grow as a hero.

Lyonesse's Secret Identities Empty From: Flight of the Mercury Strike

Post by Lyonesse Sat Aug 14, 2010 6:36 pm

Name: Sunshine Walters
Age: 28
City of origin: Quetzalcoatl
Bio: Sunshine’s mother ran a ranch on Quetzalcoatl, raising cattle for dairy products and meat. Her mother never talked about her father much beyond saying that he wasn’t the sort to stick around for anything, not even his own child, but there were always plenty of ranch hands to help raise her as a girl. There were always an abundance of animals around too, and Sunshine grew up loving them all, which is why she eventually chose to go to a UN sponsored school to study animal husbandry and veterinary medicine. She had every intent to stay on Quetzalcoatl and help animals for the rest of her life, but things didn’t turn out quite like that. Sunshine’s then boyfriend was part of a group working to resist the General Magistrate and Eden and he roped her into unwittingly passing coded messages and information from one cell of the group to another. When one of the cells was betrayed and its members captured and interrogated, Sunshine was named as a member of the group, even though she was barely aware of their existence. A group of armed men from Eden’s forces came to arrest her and her boyfriend, and they both tried to flee, which ended badly for him. Sunshine got away though and spent some time hiding in the forests of Quetzalcoatl. While lying low, she stumbled across the fledgling crew of the Mercury Strike, who had landed there to hide out themselves and give an injured crew member a chance to recover. Although she’d never worked on a human being before, Sunshine offered to help and managed to save the crew member’s life, even if it was a bit of a patchwork job. With nowhere else to go, Sunshine accepted an offer to join the crew of the Mercury Strike and did her level best to translate her skills from animals to people.

Personality: Sunshine is very much like her name, bright and cheery, perky almost to the point of annoying some folks. Her glass is always half full, and she’s always trying to squeeze a few more drops out to make it more than half full. She’s also very motherly and tries to take care of everyone around her, whether they want her to or not. When under a lot of pressure she tends to get flustered and tends to just start talking in a stream of consciousness sort of way until she manages to calm herself down.
Specialty: Medic…of a sort. She’s actually more of a veterinarian, but she can patch up flesh wounds just fine and she’s really putting an effort into learning the rest.

Lyonesse's Secret Identities Empty Re: Lyonesse's Secret Identities

Post by Lyonesse Sat Aug 14, 2010 6:37 pm

Name: John Asher, only close friends call him John though, so it’s Asher to you.
Gender: Male
Age: 112 (appears 31)
Race: Vampire
Appearance:
Spoiler:

Personality: These days, Asher is pretty much a misanthrope. He doesn’t really give a damn about anyone or anything and pretty much hates the world for existing. He’s sarcastic and cranky as hell, but beneath his rather deplorable personality, Asher is observant, intelligent and more stubborn than a mule. In fact, he would probably be suicidal if he weren’t too damn obstinate to give others the satisfaction.

Powers: Asher is immortal, much stronger and faster than ordinary humans, he has enhanced senses, only needs only blood to survive, and he heals quickly.

Weaknesses: Sunlight, fire, stakes through the heart, holy objects wielded by someone of faith.

Bio: Born in 1898, Asher’s youth wasn’t particularly interesting. He was born and raised in Chicago and eventually followed in his father’s footsteps becoming a police officer. However, his ambitions and a sharp mind took Asher further with a job in the recently formed Prohibition Unit of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, charged with enforcing the 18th Amendment. Asher had no real love for Prohibition though and did have a love for alcohol, so he happily used his position to target certain locations and people, while tipping off others in return for cash and booze. That went on for about two years until Asher was ratted out by one of the speakeasy operators he’d been working with. Asher lost his job and barely escaped a prison sentence by running to New York, where he tried working as a private detective, but on one of his very first cases he started to fall for the wiles of Grace, a mysterious woman, linked to his case. He stumbled across the secret she’d been hiding: that she was a vampire. She turned him and for a while the two were lovers, traveling to Europe when the Great Depression took hold, then back to the U.S. when World War II started. He did a lot of investigative work for the vampire government, as well as a little for L.O.R.E as well during his first three or four decades as a vampire, but during the 1960s something happened that he still refuses to speak about while on a case for a friend. It completely changed Asher’s attitude and outlook on life and everything else, causing him to begin to lose interest in things, falling into fits of depression and nihilism that seemed to get longer and deeper every time.

Why was your character chosen as a champion: Despite his reclusive tendencies and I-don’t-give-a-damn attitude, Asher is still a top-notch detective, which is exactly what L.O.R.E needs to figure out all of these mysteries, so he was roped into the job by his sire and old flame, Grace.

Lyonesse's Secret Identities Empty We Are One - Revised

Post by Lyonesse Sun Aug 22, 2010 7:46 pm

Name: Danny Russell (Sundown)

Age: 28

Ability: Solar radiation absorption and expulsion. This means that he absorbs ultraviolet electromagnetic radiation primarily from sunlight (although he can supplement it some with black lights) through his skin, which he can store for short periods of time (about 48 hours maximum), convert it to energy and expel it back as heat and fire through his skin. This can be used to achieve a wide range of effects, from cloaking Danny’s entire body in flames, to channeling heat or fire only through a particular part of his body, usually his hands to provide more directional force. He can also release blasts of fire or heat, which can travel about twenty-five feet before losing energy and dissolving quickly. Danny has recently found that he can also use heat projections to provide him with a certain degree of buoyancy, which he can use to jump higher or across greater distances. Also, his ability to combust and create fire is limited by the quantity of oxygen in the area. Little to no oxygen=no flames, but he can still let of heat, it just won’t combust anything. In short: He’s basically a solar-powered Human Torch.

Side: Heroes

Bio: Danny is a second-generation superhuman, although he didn’t know that growing up, since his mother left his father before Danny was born. His father, Jim Clay, was also known as Thermoform, a low-level super villain who tended to drift between various teams and crews, usually specializing in robbery given his powers allowed him to superheat vault doors and locks, melting straight through them. Danny’s own powers began to manifest slowly at a very young age. At first it was just small things, like the fact that his natural body temperature seemed to be a little higher than the standard 98.7, and he always had more energy when the weather was good and became lethargic and even sick during long spells of bad weather or little sun. These things were usually easy to ignore or dismiss by his mother, until Danny was six years old and playing in the kitchen, where he grabbed at the handle of a pot full of boiling water, which fell off the stove and straight onto Danny’s head. His mother was horrified, only to realize that her son wasn’t screaming in pain and he had no burns whatsoever. After that, ignoring things didn’t work so well and Danny’s powers seemed to keep creeping along in intensity. The final straw came when he was ten years old and he accidentally set his own bed on fire while asleep. After that, his distressed mother put him in the car with a suitcase and they drove straight down into western Texas, to a trailer park about fifteen miles outside of El Paso, where Jim Clay was living.

His mother unceremoniously dumped Danny with Jim, stating that since Danny had inherited his abilities from his father, Jim could take care of it now. By that time, Jim had retired from his criminal past and was working as a plumber. At first life wasn’t easy, with both father and son mistrustful of each other and Danny was terrified of his powers. However, time forged a close bond between them, especially as Jim helped to teach Danny to exert some control over his powers. Jim always urged Danny to stay away from both superheroes and super villains, believing that both heroics and villainry would ultimately only bring him misery and an early death. This attitude influenced what he taught Danny, leaving him with great control over some aspects of his powers, and poor control over others.

When Danny was seventeen, his father’s past caught up with him as member of an old team he’d double-crossed tracked him down and killed him. After hearing the news, Danny followed his father’s instructions for such an event and burned their trailer, taking off with only a bag full of clothes and a stash of money left over from his father’s criminal past. He left El Paso and Texas, hitchhiking and working odd jobs for a while all across the country before settling in Century City.

He was perfectly happy living a quiet life under the radar, tending bar at a local dive bar and putting his own plumbing skills to work as his apartment building’s super. He started a relationship with a local waitress named, Kate, and the two quickly fell in love, moving in together. Danny rarely used his powers, and only in small ways then, usually to help make repairs around the apartments. However, Danny was finally stirred out of his normal life when gang and drug-related violence began to increase in part of the city. He reached a tipping point when in one day, Kate was mugged and a young child was killed in a drive by shooting. About ten months ago, Danny put together a makeshift costume and started scaring the drug dealers and gangs out of the area. It was always supposed to be a temporary thing, but Danny has since found it hard to find a way to stop fighting crime. However, he’s never prepared for anything like Charlie and his people.

Lyonesse's Secret Identities Empty And By Night, They Walked

Post by Lyonesse Sat Nov 20, 2010 4:01 am

Name: Eli Callaghan
Age: 31 (turned at age 29)
Sex: Male
Species: Vampire
Height: 6'
General Appearance:
Spoiler:
Eli is usually very casual about his appearance, dressing for comfort and practicality above all else, usually in a mixture of jeans, t-shirts and a jacket. His hair is a dark blonde and is usually kept fairly short but rather unkempt, especially due to his habit of running his hands through it when stressed. Before he was turned, Eli kept in shape by running and a vegetarian diet, which gave him a lean but never particularly muscular build. He's almost never without some sort of camera and equipment, usually carrying a specially padded backpack with him wherever he goes.

Abilities: Having only been a vampire for two years, Eli's preternatural abilities aren't much to speak of. His strength and speed are above human levels, but pale when compared to older vampires and lycans. Especially given his lack of any real combat skills or training of any sort. However, Eli's powers have shown signs of developing his human talents for dissecting the emotions and desires of others into a preternatural sort of compulsion. It's not total hypnotism by a long shot, but many humans are easily guided or persuaded after catching Eli's eye and speaking with him. Beyond his vampire abilities, Eli has some advantages of being a modern man amongst an ancient race. He knows the languages and the technology, especially when the technology involves cameras, film, and computers. He's even proficient enough to know how to forge several different types of official documents and identification.

Bio: Eli was born nine minutes after his identical twin, Nicholas, making him the fourth child of an Episcopal minister a middle school history teacher. In such a large family, Eli was easily lost in the crowd, his quiet nature allowing him to slip through life without getting as much attention as most of his siblings. If not for Nick, Eli would have been very much a loner, but his twin brother worked hard to drag Eli into his schemes and childhood adventures, for which Eli was always quietly grateful. Still, he never felt like he really fit in with his practical, small-town family and always felt subtly stressed by it, which is why, after high school, Eli decided that the best thing for him to do was to get away from his family and figure out who he was on his own. In college he fell in love with film and photography, deciding to turn his passions into a career as a documentary filmmaker, despite his parents’ objections over the practicality of such things. After college, Eli traveled a lot, only returning home for a few holidays and major family events due to his parents’ continued disapproval of his life and career choices, although he always kept in close contact with Nick through letters, emails and phone calls. He worked on several different film projects, both alone and with others, and was beginning to build a solid reputation for himself within certain film circles. It was on one of his projects that he crossed paths with a vampire named Lucy, who he felt an instant connection with. Trying to get closer to Lucy, Eli soon discovered what she was, but instead of being repulsed or terrified, he was fascinated and the two quickly developed a deep romantic relationship. After three years together and with his blessing, Lucy turned Eli into a vampire so that they could remain together without Eli’s mortality hanging over their love. The two were as happy as any newlywed couple for about eight months, then the rising tensions between humans and vampires claimed Lucy’s life, leaving Eli alone, lost and unsure about where he fits into the world, or even how he feels about his new existence.

Personality: Growing up, Eli was the black sheep in a large All-American family. He was quiet and artistic, observing everything but rarely speaking up or acting out, traits which often made him the target of bullying, sometimes even within his own family. The one saving grace Eli had throughout childhood was his identical twin, Nick. Despite their obvious differences, the brothers were best friends and Nick served as Eli’s protector. In truth, Eli didn’t blossom until he left home for college. Away from his family, Eli discovered a talent and a passion for film and a way to turn his longstanding talent for observation into something greater as a filmmaker. He learned to connect to people better, make friends and unleash a level of curiosity that could easily kill a sabertooth tiger. It also gave Eli an outlet for his natural sense of compassion, using his films to try and expose wrongs and open minds and hearts. This empathy and his very recent transformation make Eli more open to working with and trusting lycans than most older vampires who have lived through the ancient conflict. Being so young and relatively isolated from most of vampire society, as well as having continuing (albeit indirect) contact with his human family, Eli still identifies more with humans than vampires and is truly struggling with what role his should take in the rising conflict between species.

Lyonesse's Secret Identities Empty And By Night, They Walked

Post by Lyonesse Sat Nov 20, 2010 4:02 am

Name: Nicholas "Nick" Callaghan
Age: 31
Sex: Male
Race: Human
Height: 6'
General Appearance:
Spoiler:
Seeing as Nick and Eli are identical twins, their appearances are uncannily similar, despite the differences that their divergent lives have wrought. Generally though, Nick is better built than his brother due to years of intense physical training in the military and the physical requirements of working in the FBI. He also tends to keep his hair shorter, which can give it the appearance of being a bit darker than Eli's. He can also be distinguished from his brother by the tattoo of a Celtic cross on his right shoulder and a small, barely noticeable scar right above his left ear extending into his hairline. Nick's dress is usually defined by his work, making most of his closet full of black suits, even on his days off he tends to dress above the jeans and t-shirt level.

Abilities: Nick is in very good shape for a human being, due to the high demands of his job. He is also very good with firearms. He has some amateur experience and a few years training as a boxer, but mostly limits his punches to a bag in the gym these days. Beyond the physical, Nick is a trained FBI agent, which makes him an excellent investigator with a talent for reading people and uncovering their motives and secrets. He's trained and proficient with most modern technologies, especially those systems and programs used by the FBI. He can speak some Arabic and a little bit of Farsi.

Bio: Born just a few minutes before Eli, Nick’s childhood was the same, yet strikingly different from his twin’s. Outgoing and rebellious, Nick stood out amongst his siblings simply by causing more trouble than all the others combined. He often wrapped Eli up in his mischief, but it was always easy to see that Nick was the mastermind behind any trouble the two caused. Nick was always intelligent, but he never really applied himself academically, preferring to goof off, party and chase girls. As a result, he wound up with few options when it came to colleges, eventually opting for Arizona State University, where he continued to focus more on partying and chasing girls. Then his life changed when Jessica—an ex-girlfriend of Nick’s who had become a very close platonic friend—was drugged and raped at a party Nick was also attending. He blamed himself for being so drunk he didn’t look out for her, and he actively helped Jessica seek justice for the crime. However, after a brutal trial that ultimately let the perpetrator off with little more than a slap on the wrist, Jessica killed herself, further compounding Nick’s guilt and anger. Disillusioned with his former lifestyle and at a loss for what else to do, Nick drastically straightened out his life and brought his grades up to the point where he managed to graduate with honors. Even with a degree, Nick was still unsure of what to do with his life, so he joined the army and completed two tours of duty before being honorably discharged. Finally, Nick found his calling in the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a special agent. He is currently working in the Criminal Investigative Division of the FBI’s Phoenix field office. He keeps in fairly close contact with most of his family, if only due to proximity, and actively tries to keep in touch with Eli, although his twin’s physical and emotional distance is beginning to make him worried and just a bit suspicious.

Personality: Nick has always been very extroverted, friendly and popular, although it has always been mitigated by a fiery temper and a rebellious steak that often got him into trouble. Up into his late teens, Nick was interested in having a good time above all else. He was a flirt and a bit of a player, going through a lot of girlfriends, but surprisingly leaving very few with hard feelings after they broke up. He never cared much for his family’s strong religious ties, believing most of it was antiquated superstition. However, after having a ringside seat to the tragedies that destroyed one of his best friend’s life, Nick has matured a lot, putting his wilder impulses on the back burner in search of loftier ideals like justice and protecting those who need it. He has even learned to take some comfort in religion, often going to his own father’s church services, although he still rejects what he feels are “the superstitious” aspects of Christianity. Despite the changes he has consciously made and the discipline he learned during his years in the military and with the FBI, Nick still has some issues with anger, which lead him to get too emotionally attached to some of his cases.

Lyonesse's Secret Identities Empty X-Men: Defenders of the Peace

Post by Lyonesse Sun Feb 13, 2011 1:58 am

Name: Quentin “Quinn” Malachi

Codename: Figment

Age: 24

Position at the school: Instructor. He teaches a few of the more practical, hands-on sort of subjects like art and auto shop.

Appearance: Lyonesse's Secret Identities Pawel_Szajda_actress
He has the X-Men logo (a black X within a black circle on a red background) tattooed on his left shoulder, as well as a long scar across his back he claims is from fighting Hydra Agents in New York.

Ability: Quinn has a specialized form of telekinesis that allows him to manipulate psionic energy into solid (but invisible) constructs. Essentially, he can create anything he can think of out of thin air, be it a weapon, a protective shield, or something as mundane as a pillow. However, anything he creates is invisible to the naked eye, he can “see” them although mentally, not optically, which can sometimes allow telepaths to “see” his creations as well. Quinn’s abilities, while theoretically astounding, have quite a few practical limitations. To start with, using his powers takes a lot of concentration, knowledge and artistry. He has to know exactly how something functions to recreate, which makes it extremely difficult or even impossible for him to recreate things with lots of moving parts as he would have to know exactly how they fit together both physically and in theory as well as concentrate on all of the different parts as they move. He can also experience psychic blowback if his creations are damaged. His creations are also temporary once he loses direct contact with them, right now they dissipate about half-an-hour after he stops touching them, but he’s working on expanding that duration.

Short Bio: Quinn grew up in a small Midwestern town to parents who were far too over-educated and liberal to be where they were. As a boy, Quinn was incredibly active and excitable and completely obsessed with superheroes. He dreamed of growing up to be Captain America and built himself an Iron Man suit out of duct tape, cardboard and tin cans when he was only five years old. When he hit puberty and discovered his powers it was pretty much a dream come true and he was certain he would be stopping bank heists with Spider-Man and saving the planet from Galactus in no time. Then the real world pretty much bitch-slapped him upside the face.

While his parents were completely open and understanding, many others were not. However, his parents resisted sending him off to a school specifically for mutants (despite Quinn’s wishes) because they saw that as a form of segregation. Instead Quinn squared his shoulders, gritted his teeth and made it all the way through public high school. He faced a lot of prejudice and even a good amount of violence growing up, but that never stopped his desire to be a hero. He even went to New York City and worked as a costumed superhero through college. He found that his powers aren’t the most effective for a solo hero though and took a position teaching at the Malone Institute, although a part of him is beginning to chafe at being so far from the action.

Lyonesse's Secret Identities Empty X-Men: Defenders of the Peace

Post by Lyonesse Sun Feb 13, 2011 1:59 am

I decided to go ahead and make another character, one with several links to the greater Marvel Universe.

Name: Her current passport and driver’s license claim it’s Delphine Deniaud.

Codename: Ampere

Age: 25

Position at the school: Currently unemployed and living off an untraceable Swiss bank account and a government pension.

Appearance: Lyonesse's Secret Identities Normal_article-0-0AD56AF7000005DC-538_634x780

Ability: Electric powered strength. She absorbs electricity and gains superhuman strength from it, as well as using it to help heal and increase her speed and reflexes. The more electricity she absorbs the stronger she becomes. She can absorb electricity either from a direct current or shock, or from touching anything that uses electricity. However, she cannot channel lightning or use electricity as a power directly, it just powers her body to superhuman levels. Without any charge, she’s just a normal person (albeit with extensive training from the most powerful intelligence and law enforcement agency in the world) . She also has to be careful or she can drain electronic devices around her without meaning to do so.

Short Bio: Delphine, born Miruna Constantin, is originally from Latveria, but her family was forced to flee the country when she was still a child for political reasons following the takeover by Victor von Doom. They moved to France for several years before seeking political asylum in the United States. She spent a few years at one of the schools in the Xavier Academy Initiative in California after her powers manifested, but left soon after she turned eighteen, almost immediately she was recruited into SHIELD.

After that, things get rather murky and highly classified. There are a few rumors floating around, especially if you’re in Madripoor or Symkaria, of a young woman who could infiltrate any place by draining the power right out of the security systems and beating the living hell out of any guards, but SHIELD will deny all of them. She must have gotten into some sort of trouble though, considering she was recently forced into mandatory retirement by the agency and was unceremoniously dumped in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a new name and nothing to do, which has left her pissed off and beyond bored.

Lyonesse's Secret Identities Empty Twilight's Dawn

Post by Lyonesse Wed Sep 07, 2011 12:43 am

Age: 30
Sex: Female
Affiliation: Empire
Class: Sith Assassin/Spy
Physical Appearance: Talitha had adapted her appearance to play the part of Jane Rogers, a native human woman whose identity she stole to aid the Empire’s conquest of Earth from within the system. She’s of average height (about 5’6”) and currently has long blonde hair and light brown (not quite ochre) eyes. When she acts as Jane she dresses in designer clothing with a seductive flair, she also wears a pair of cat eye glasses and stiletto heels, trying very hard to look the epitome of Earthen beauty to help tempt others toward the Dark Side.
When she acts as an assassin or wishes to make her presence as a Sith known she wears a black cowl, keeps her hair tied back in a tight braid, and paints her face entirely red with traditional Sith markings and symbols.

Personality: Talitha is a very passionate person, which is a large part of what drove her to the dark side, but she’s very much in control of her passions and desires, channeling them expertly to both aid the Empire and to advance herself among its ranks. She can be seductive and sadistic, loving to lead others to ruin or the dark side, or both. She’s also very manipulative and will never do through force what she can do through subterfuge, deception, and trickery. Others may see her as a very sexual being, but to her seduction and sexuality are only a few more tools to help her gain power. As one of the Empire’s spies, Talitha is very good at hiding her personal dark side though, taking on whatever traits and mannerisms she needs for a particular task or role.

Skills/Weaknesses: As a spy and assassin, Talitha is extremely talented at force concealment, which allows her to mask her dark presence and appear to be an ordinary human to the senses of Jedi and other Sith. However, maintaining her concealment means she cannot use the force in any other way without revealing herself. She’s also very talented at manipulating the minds of others through use of the force. Since her focus has long been on subterfuge and manipulation, Talitha is not the strongest or most talented warrior in a straight fight, but she excels at making sure any fight she enters is anything but fair.

Weapons: As per tradition with Sith assassins, Talitha uses a double-bladed lightsaber, but calling this her primary weapon would be a stretch as she tends to tailor her weapons for her missions and whatever role she is playing. She’s not above using blasters or anything else that will get the job done. Currently she has been carrying a human handgun (registered and properly licensed to the woman whose identity she stole), as well as a few other nasty surprised disguised as innocent Earth items.

Bio: Talitha was born on a border world, the daughter of a wealthy crime lord. As a young child she was spoiled by her father and treated much like a princess. This ended when she was eight and her father’s business intersected with the mission of a pair of Jedi knights. When they realized the now orphaned Talitha was force-sensitive the Jedi brought her to be trained at the temple, but she never quite took to the training and left at a young age, stating that the Jedi bored her. She found her place among the Sith though, learning from one of the Empire’s best assassins.
She was one of the very first Sith sent to Earth with a very special mission, to infiltrate Earthen society and help sway the powers behind the scenes to join the Empire, and to eliminate those who stood against her masters. To do so she immersed herself in the planet’s culture and history. She then found a woman she bore a resemblance to who had a job working for the United Nations. She quietly killed this woman, an American named Jane Foster and took her place, using mind tricks and manipulations to fool Jane’s acquaintances and coworkers. Since then she’s been working quietly to manipulate various high-ranking officials and diplomats that becoming part of the Sith Empire would be in Earth’s benefit.

Other: One of her favorite things to do is turn Jedi to the dark side, whether through torture, seduction, or other forms of manipulation.

Lyonesse's Secret Identities Empty Immortal Vindication

Post by Lyonesse Wed Sep 07, 2011 12:44 am

Name: Cian [KEEN] MacCailín
Sex: Male
Species: Lycan
Age: 575
Apparent Age: 22

Human Appearance:

Due to his age, Cian’s eyes have permanently shifted from their natural blue to a sort of pale grayish-yellow. His ears are also rather pointy, but they’re rarely visible through his curly reddish-blond hair, which he keeps shaggy and long enough to hide them, and if he’s grown some more body hair as he aged well he never had much to begin with, so it isn’t terribly noticeable. Cian added Celtic knotwork tattoos along his right arm back in the early 21st century.

Lycan Appearance:

Cian’s fur is the same reddish-gold as his human hair and since becoming an ancient his transformed shape has been slowly becoming more and more wolf-like, especially the tail.

Biography: Cian grew up during troubled times in Ireland, with his nation brutally conquered by Cromwellian forces. Cian fought for his country as a young man—barely more than a boy. He even participated in guerilla warfare against Cromwell’s forces after the organized resistance had failed. It was during this time, sneaking through the countryside picking off British soldiers, that Cian was attacked by a lycan, although he was able to fend off the attack enough so that he survived. Although Cian was soon adopted into a local pack, Ireland was still a dangerous place considering Cromwell was also dedicated to exterminating wolves in Ireland, and many of the English hunters who came to the island were familiar with werewolves. Even though natural Irish wolves were nearly extinct by the turn of the century, Cian’s pack managed to survive, albeit with great difficulty. However, their kills were much harder to cover up with so few natural predators on the island, and by the middle of the 18th century Cian and several others made the decision to move to the New World.

Cian, with his lingering hatred of the British, fought in the American Revolution and the war of 1812, both as a wolf and a man. He drifted in and out of several different packs over the years, exploring much of North America in the process before travelling back to Ireland and continental Europe for several decades. The Industrial Revolution and the rapid advances of the 20th century drove Cian back to the wildernesses of western North America, but ultimately it gave him less trouble than many of his kind since he was typically on his own and spent both his human life and his first decades as a lycan in a hostile, violent world where hiding his presence had been essential to his survival. He spent most of that century and the next keeping his head down and living on the fringes of human society until 2079 when the urge to settle down came over him. He eventually chose the area around Phoenix, Arizona as his territory, believing the harsh deserts, nearby mountains, and many parks and designated wilderness areas would ensure he had plenty of space to run and hunt. Since then Cian has been largely content to remain on his territory, hunting and spending time with his packmates. When his species was officially outed to the general populace, Cian made sure to minimize his presence around Phoenix and encouraged his fellow lycans to do the same. With the creation of the Night Soldiers, Cian pulled away from the city itself and into the desert and hills, but when the abominations turned on their creators he felt compelled to be drawn back into affairs where his long experience with guerilla warfare could be of use.

Personality: For an ancient, Cian is surprisingly laid back and jovial, to the point where many of his enemies don’t take him seriously, which is often their last mistake, because while he may crack bad jokes and flirt shamelessly with any female in sight he’s a survivor to his core who’s never shied away from getting his hands dirty or cheating to ensure his own survival or that of the people he cares for. However, he does have one hell of a temper beneath his normal
good cheer and general joie de vivre, and when his Irish is up chances are things are going to get very bloody.

Other: While his first preference is to fight his enemies as a wolf, Cian is not above using any tactics or weapons necessary to get the job done. Also, to this day you should not mention Oliver Cromwell to him or he will beat the shit out of you.
