MF - July, 2010
Though a day late, I'm particularly excited about this month's features! We have some fresh talent hitting the scene, as well as the triumphant resurgence of some of our senior members. So, without further ado, I give you the July, 2010 Monthly Features!
Art & Design
TimeOfTheEye – My Circus & other artwork
Just when I was getting worried that we weren't seeing enough fresh talent in the art section, I come across TimeOfTheEye's art thread and get blown away by the vast array of art styles and beautiful images tucked under spoiler tags galore! If the beauty of her art wasn't enough, the range of archetypes covered by this amazingly talented young woman more than picks up the slack to create a stunning gallery that lacks nothing in the way of awe-inspiring splendor.
Truly, nothing I say will give proper credit to her work, so I encourage each of you to click the link and check out the thread for yourselves! If you have any appreciation at all for unique and beautiful artwork, it will be a trip well worth your time.
Thank you, TimeOfTheEye, for sharing your wonderful portfolio with us. You definitely deserve the July Monthly Feature for Art & Design!
Writing & Journalism
Tamwyn – Gears of War: A.E.
Though Tamwyn's join date ranges back into June of last year, he seems to have only recently made his initial splash on the pages of FOG. What a splash he made, though, by posting an exceedingly well-written fanfiction based on Gears of War! Though I haven't had the time to truly appreciate the currently available chapters of this piece, I look forward to doing so with bated breath and unbearable anticipation.
From what I've read so far, this number hosts some very engaging literary elements, including vivid imagery and a deeply emotional insight to the life and times of a soldier in the war against the Locust Horde, caught in a secondary fight against the tugs and pulls of insanity.
Yet again, words fail to capture the quality of this work of art. If you have any appreciation at all for fine literature and don't mind a bit of gore on the path to entertainment, this is a thread worth keeping tabs on.
Tamwyn, you've definitely earned this month's feature for Writing & Journalism. I look forward to your time here at Footsteps of Ghosts, as it's apparently you have a lot to offer.
Roleplaying
Final Fantasy X: Resurrection
Eternity. We should all recognize that name. She's undoubtedly the most active roleplayer on FOG and has been host to numerous games in her time here on the forums. One of her latest ventures comes in the form of a mixed-genre roleplay called Final Fantasy X: Resurrection. This roleplay earns its place in the Monthly Features not only because of the quality of writing therein (as per the usual criteria), but also because of its unique incorporation of popularized JRPG elements in its execution.
A brilliant cast of excellent writers breathes life into this original work of roleplaying art. If you've ever wondered what a video game would look like when converted into a roleplay, check out the link and see for yourself. You won't regret it.

Having joined FOG only a month ago, xraineyesx has taken the site by storm! Kind, beautiful and vastly talented, she's a very welcomed edition to our community and I'm exceedingly pleased to see that some impressive writers have joined the ranks.
There isn't much for me to say, since I haven't been around much to get to know her, but I'm assured, and can see, that she deserves the Member of the Month status for July, 2010! Welcome to the forums, Rain, and thank you for your contributions to the community.
Congratulations to all of our monthly winners! You’ve all earned your place in the Monthly Features by inspiring the rest of us to excel in every aspect of our daily dealings amongst the FOG.

Wow. I am shocked, considering I think I've been here for a month. What a pleasant surprise! Thank you very much, FOG.
Congratulations to everyone else as well! TotE's work was beautiful indeed.
=D It's quite an honor, though, I must say, to be named Member of the Month after being here such a short time!

Indeed, you are certainly no veteran amongst the FOG, but your post count already exceeds mine. You're active in roleplays, as well, and the quality of your writing is an excellent example for other members. You made one hell of an impact when you landed on these forums, and it's deserving of recognition.
Now, don't forget to name the ghosts. That's somewhat of an established tradition around here, now.

Congratulations, everyone! And I'm so happy that Final Fantasy X: Resurrection has received such a great recognition! I simply adore writing with this cast of FOGgers, and Eternity definitely makes it feel like a video game converted to story/writing format.

Well, Weiss, I am pretty active around here, heh. But it's just because I love you guys all so much! <3.
I had noticed that Dagger named hers last month, but I didn't know it was tradition. Hm... I'll have to think about names. Those are very important. I'll get back to you when I come up with some awesome ones!
And again, thanks so much! It feels like quite a honor to be given such a title so early on in my stay here at FOG. I'm glad I'm being such a good role model to any other newcomers.

Congratulations you guys! It's a little daunting to see so many new names up there... I feel so out of touch... but it's awesome nonetheless. Well done!

Re: MF - July, 2010
Though I'm a few months late, thanks for the compliments. They really mean a lot to me. Obviously, I haven't been around much besides posting the story, but I've been busy getting geared up for college and the like. Now that I'm settled into the new school experience, I'd be happy to continue my venture into Gears of War.
As well, this seems like an awesome community, so I think I'll try to get back into the whole forum thing. Thanks again, and look forward to more from me, Gears of War or otherwise.

Naw. I just felt awkward coming back on here coz ... well just coz >.> I don't want to drag down happy thread by explaining.
I posted that moment to the AWR Random Banter thready. (Hope you don't mind, Weiss/FOG, since it was your writing and I don't want to stir up interwebz hate.) A few people congratulated you and said they were really proud, homeslice. Wolfeh especially.
