Illuminated Works

Post by Lumeus on Tue Jun 01, 2010 12:26 am

Spoiler:

I free handed this from the cover of Superman/Batman #8.

Michael Turner was a big source of inspiration for me and a lot of my art is based off of his original works.

I have several more pieces like the previous two, but I like to mix things up to keep it interesting. So, here is one of my original works.

Spoiler:

This is Lumeus, my first Rp character.

Awesome work! Are the first two freehanded ink on paper or did you use a program? The details of the wings in your third are just wonderful, and the lighting adds so much! I am jealous of your abilities!

Thank you! They were sketched and inked on paper, scanned in, and then the ink lines were turned solid black and the background solid white.

And now for another media change.

These next pieces you may not get at first, but I urge you to look closely.

My sister and I in Ireland.

Me in Ireland.

If you didn't notice, here's why it's art.

It's the same photo.

Thank you for the compliment!

This was an experiment of mine done on scratch board, and I liked how it turned out.

That scratch board one...is gorgeous. How do you feel about sending it to me? Razz I love cats, especially big ones and that was just gorgeous beyond belief.

I'm sure there are patterns out there somewhere, but I couldn't find 'em, and I'm too cheep to go buy them even if I happened to find them, and I don't have a printer. =/

So I looked off a picture and drew it onto the pumpkin. Then cut them out.

That sword is pretty sweet!
Seems like it'd tend to have specialized uses, like fighting lizardmen or something.
