Geek Gifts Empty Geek Gifts

Post by Digital Muse Sun Dec 18, 2011 7:38 pm

So it was another Holiday with a tight budget, but a great imagination. I decided to delve into my insane stash of fabrics and make gifts for 3 of my geek friends this year.

Each bag is reversible (like the Transformers one), has a pencil holder and can stand up on their own.

The question I have for FoG members is; what's the geek-iest gift you've given or received?

Whoa! What an awesome idea for gifts. Very Happy I love those, especially the Deadlands bag with the gears. Those are so neat, Digital Muse! ^__^ I bet they loved them. Smile

I wish that I were talented in the crafty sense. I would love to make some of my own things or give them as gifts. (I also could use the sewing talent to make my own liners and hammocks for my rattie's cage rather than buying them.)

Hmm, the geekiest thing I ever gave? I'm not really sure. Maybe just a video game? I drew Axiom once as a cartoon character for his birthday 3 years ago, if that counts. I'm not really sure. That's a good question!

As for gifts I've received, my uncle one year gave me his entire Star Wars action figure collection, all in their boxes. I eventually ended up selling them on eBay for a few hundred dollars. Here are just a few pictures I took:

Those are amazing, Digi! I am not very crafty either...This year my brothers and I wrote and sang a simple barbershop trio version of Happy Birthday to my grandfather. I suppose that is sort of geeky XD

I tend to do photography stuff, so there have been a few years that I've arranged albums or calendars for my recipients. Other than that, all of my geek gifts have been store bought (geek shirts, D&D stuff, Halo action figures, etc).

Fate, that picture is really good! You should give picture gifts all of the time, they are one of a kind and irreplaceable! Very Happy I'll always treasure the one that I won.
