Aw! He's adorable! I just want to put him in bunny pajama's and give him a cookie! (Don't question my sentence, just nod.)
Here's to having birthdays that are better than the next, even the dreaded 5-0! Happy Birthday Theo!

I have TONS of pictures, but here is my favorite one taken on his actual Bday. He got to meet Master Chief!
I have to download his party pics, and then I can share some of those

Oh my god that is awesome! XD He's lucky to have you and Silv as parents.
You're scared of bunnies? O.o I can only image what events induced that phobia.

Wow! You look great in that first picture. That dress is really flattering to both your figure and to your skin tone.
Aww. Taeo is so cute. Why was he sad in that last picture?

Re: Happy Birthday, Theoden Leon!
Aw, thanks It was my graduation (high school) dress, I hadn't worn it since the graduation but I pulled it out of the closet since his birthday was Yo Gabba Gabba (one of the characters is pink).
He was crying because he was tired and he wanted to push his tricycle around but he hadn't figured out how to make it turn yet. NOW he knows that he needs to push it from the handlebars to control the turning, but at the time he couldn't figure it out. Silv had tried to put him on the trike and he got mad and started crying...one nap later he was ready to go

Re: Happy Birthday, Theoden Leon!
hahah Of course. ^^_^^
My grad dress was black, actually, and it had the optical illusion ruching, so I looked thinner. hahah
I think it's really cool that you can still fit into that dress and pull it off incredibly well, especially considering you've had a baby between then and now. How long did it take you to get your figure back?

Monty Python and the Holy Grail'd pretty much do it.Inerio wrote:You're scared of bunnies? O.o I can only image what events induced that phobia.
HAPPY [belated] BIRTHDAY, THÉODEN! (It is actually Théoden, with the accent mark, yes? no?)
Bestest wishes, little buddy! *waves*
Re: Happy Birthday, Theoden Leon!
@Kathryn: Basically, during my pregnancy, I looked like I was hiding a basketball under my dress. I was ALL belly, didn't gain any where else. Since I had a csection, I only dialated 5 cm and so my hips didn't stretch as far as they would have with a normal birth. I breastfed for 3 months, which helped loose the belly fat pretty fast (though my breasts were severely enlarged...) I'd say about three months after I stopped breastfeeding (so, 6 months after the birth) I pretty much had my figure back.
It's still not the same though. I have stretched stomach muscles, and stretch marks on my hips (why there, I do not know...) and my belly button never went back to a perfect innie like it used to be Oh and of course the large scar on my stomach.
All of the permanent changes are severly superficial, and considering I never boasted a bikini PRE-pregnancy I don't need to complain. Still, the changes were something I had to come to terms with.
@Kalon: Technically, Théoden King is spelled with an accent, but our Theoden is spelled without one. I didn't want to complicate his name anymore than it already is (we have a very long and obscure last name).

Re: Happy Birthday, Theoden Leon!
Damn... You are so lucky. My grandma told me when she was nine months along, she only looked five, but the birthing was really hard because there wasn't enough amniotic fluid to lubricate my mother's way into the world... My mom just gained tons of weight with all of us and never got her teen figure back. I mean... her figure before the babies wasn't great, but yeah... Not so good.
I'm dreading baby-making... I'm content with aborting because I wouldn't be a good mom anyway, and my genes are terrible ((we have several suicides in our family history, and we have a lot of mental illnesses)), so any child birthed by me would probably have a shitty life anyway. Plus, we have a long history of cancer and Alzheimer's. They'd be screwed.
However, I know if I ended up with a man who wanted to keep the baby, I would, and I would try my best to be a decent mother, but I don't know how well that would turn out... The thing with that is that it's not just my genes in the baby, it'd be the father's, too, so even though I'd have the hardest part with it, I'd expect him to have a strong hand in raising the child. If he was just like, "Oh, let's keep it, but you get to do all the dirty work while I just get to hold it and show it off to people," I wouldn't because that's craptastic, but yeah. ^^_^^;;
I don't care if that seems selfish. I've never had a perfect body, but I don't want to end up looking like my mother... so yeah...
Maybe I'm a bad person for feeling that way, but that's just all the more reason why I shouldn't be having babies. =3

Re: Happy Birthday, Theoden Leon!
I don't think it is wrong, it is good that you are wary. The job isn't easy.
From a mother's point of view, I have to admit that I feel soley responsible for my child. Though I appreciate help from everyone around me, ultimately he is my responsibility and all decisions go through me.
I am confident that you would be a good mother, because you are aware of your faults and would strive to fix them. However, in my opinion, a woman should always enter a pregnancy with the idea that they may have to care for this child on their own. It's just...safer that way, because a woman can't bail the way a man can. Also, there are some things that a man cannot do for the woman (pregnancy, birth, breast feeding...) Not to mention, in this society caregiving is pushed onto the women so often the burden is placed on the woman to make decisions about the child. Not that the burden can't be pushed to the father of course!

Re: Happy Birthday, Theoden Leon!
I'm sure I would feel differently if I actually had/wanted a child of my own.
However, I don't, and my current lover doesn't, so I think as long as we're careful all will be well. Even though I'm open to abortion, I hear it's painful, so I don't want to have to do that one, either. =\

This thread makes me want a little guy, too! Great pics! Theo is going to be a super cool kid, I have a feeling!
ps- I may have posted here sooner had my initial thought when reading the title wasn't "Who's Theoden Leon, and why is Silvone wishing him a happy birthday?"
